  1. In short, yes, it is entirely possible to kill all 6 barrow's brothers with melee at your level. Would it be recommended? No. When I made my first trip to the Barrows (c2006), I was similar to your level and managed to melee all 6 brothers. It was terribly inefficient, even for my level. I used the below setup, but you have considerably better options. Regarding funding issues, I would suggest selling your dragon boots for rune, as that would save you a considerable amount of money (~160k) for a drop of just +2 strength. You will need to pray against all 6 brothers. It will take you a long time to kill each brother, and will require several prayer pots. Should you decide to melee, it would be in your best interest to obtain a dragon weapon (preferably scimitar, but longsword would also work). For melee you will also want to bring a pure set (super attack + strength). Bring a spec weapon (you mentioned you have a dds) and wear prayer/strength boosting armor. I would recommend a prayer pot per brother, you may need more. You will also want a high healing food (monkfish/shark) filling the rest of your inventory. The order you kill the brothers is irrelevant, just be sure to prayer the appropriate protection prayer. Verac will be the hardest to kill, as he will hit through prayer. If instead you choose to mage, you would want to wear at a minimum mystic top and bottom while casting water blast. Mage the four melee brothers (dharok, verac, guthan, torag) and the ranged brother (karil). Bring a melee primary + spec weapon to kill the mage brother (ahrim). Prayer needs may be higher than above, I honestly don't know how much prayer you will consume. Fill the rest of your inventory with high healing food. You may find it useful to bring rune plate + legs to switch to in the tunnels. Be sure to bring a spade and a 1 click tele regardless. You may also find it useful to wear a ring of life. Again, killing the brothers at your level will take a considerable amount of time and will not likely provide any meaningful reward. That said, it is fun and good luck with your future bossing.
  2. As a dungeoneering noob interested in training the skill both for the rewards (rapier/asn/scrolls) and (hopefully later) for the enjoyment of the skill itself, I had a couple of questions regarding solo and (eventually) team dungeoneering. Relevant skills are in my sig and answers from experienced dungeoneers(sp?) would be appreciated. First Question: Binds I currently have a gorg battleaxe and gorg plate bound with a CSB. My ring is upgraded to tier 6 berserker/blazer. I know the 2h is the preferred bind for DGS to improve APM, however they've also seen the battleaxe outperform the 2h with proper use of turmoil flicking. I've also used a rapier previously, as it seemed that the few crush weak monsters could be taken care of with magic. With piety flicking (I have no access to turmoil) in solo dungeons, what would be the best weapon of choice (2h/battleaxe/rapier)? If different, what would be the best weapon for team dungeons? Is a plate the best secondary bind until I find a hood? Would it be better to bind a secondary offensive weapon? Second Question: Monster Weaknesses In general, I use my battleaxe on slash and crush the monsters listed here. What should I change? What is better to mage than melee (besides warriors)? Third Question: Skills What skills would be most useful to have higher while dungeoneering? By the time I restart dungeoneering, I'll have 82 herblore with 87 banked for the next BXPW. I have the charms for 73 summoning in the bank. I'm afraid I cannot currently afford to level prayer, although I am saving slowly for the day that I will be able to. Thanks in advance for answering any/all of my questions. Artemis
  3. You keep saying that it's the same experience as death runes, but it's really not. By the time you factor in the time playing FoG, it's roughly the same experience per hour. So unless you play FoG purely for fun, the only benefit is more experience per essence.
  4. Unless I misread, it looks like you made a mathematical mistake in example 1. You said that a person with 91 runecrafting would make 600k worth of nature runes in two hours crafting 1k natures an hour. I assumed that by crafting 1k natures you meant 1k pure essence EARNING you 2k natures. If so, then that person would make 1200k worth of nature runes in two hours.
