Well, maybe in Old Orchard Beach. But in general, no. Maine has a much different geography compared to SoCal. Maybe NorCal, but eh.

Nothing like being greeted with fresh, clean, ocean air and a beautiful light show to boot. Winter sunrises are some of the best.

@Tyler: Note how I haven't mentioned sunsets at all. Because they usually suck, unless you live in a rather flat elevated area like my friend does. Man sunsets up there are awesome.

I've lived by a beach for about 13 years of my life. I wouldn't have it any other way. I love the ocean.
