  1. Hence me saying "maybe in electoral votes". I know popular vote doesn't matter, but when you do observe it, it wasn't much of a landslide victory.
  2. Landslide victory? Maybe in the electoral votes, but if you observe popular vote, it wasn't much different... Obama 52%, McCain 46%.

A friend posed this question to me yesterday: How can we prove we exist? I responded with: "We can see that we are made up of cells that move." She said: "But how can you prove that what we see actually exists, and isn't just imagination (in the strongest sense)? What are your ideas?
  4. I don't even want to get into morals and Obama.
  5. To be honest, anyone could do better than Bush.
  6. Wow. I hope you're: 1. Joking 2.Uneducated 3. A younger TIF'er still agreeing with parents' biased views I'm gonna go with #3 As someone who often ends up debating with Saru, I must say #3 is indeed correct. To be honest, Saru has nothing to worry about. His brother is likely to go nowhere, since Obama thinks we should get out of Iraq as soon as possible. Wrong. Obama had the same withdrawal strategy as McCain. We are staying in until we finish the job. However, Obama's plan was to hold Iraq accountable and have them start to reimburse us some of the money they are making over there. As he said "There's no reason we should be so far in deficit while they are pulling in an 87 billion dollar surplus." Last I hear, Obama wishes to get them out of there in 18 months...

  8. Our debt is not going to get to zero during Obama's term. Both candidates will raise the debt for sure. It is not free health care. You have to pay taxes for it. Also, don't think you'll get your treatment right away. Have fun waiting for about three months (or longer) for other people to get what they need before your even considered. Hm...that sounds a lot like... Our current situation. Actually, with private providers, you only have to wait a few days to get an appointment and maybe a week to get treated.

  10. *Opens up Microsoft Excel* Enjoy yourself.
  11. Ok, I'll laugh when people make charts to insult my opinion.
  12. A joke which purpose was to stab at McCain supporters. Why else would it have been made?
  13. McCain won the states that had people who weren't as smart as the people in the states Obama won. Ah, McCain voters aren't as smart. That is all I get from that chart. Poor sport my [wagon].
  14. What it implies is completely biased...
  15. I doubt he'll be running a country at all by the end of his term. If a president can't respect the lives of the most innocent of people (children and elderly), how do we expect him to run our damn country. Uhm, what? Are you saying Obama delights in disrespecting children and elderly? Or is this just the heat of the moment that causes you to overreact? Abortion, Euthanasia... Ring a bell?
  16. I doubt he'll be running a country at all by the end of his term. If a president can't respect the lives of the most innocent of people (children and elderly), how do we expect him to run our damn country. Well you made it through 8 years with a president who didnt care for your constitution, you have not had another civil war yet. I don't understand. And I don't remember Bush being extremely pro-choice.
  17. I pray these four years go by swiftly.

  19. Or we could all vote for Ralph Nader out of sympathy, since he has been on the ballot too many years. That man needs to stop running. #-o
  20. My forum name came from my RuneScape name, which I got because I wanted something original, and I had a piece of China with a red lion on it. My original name was going to be Panty_Lion, but that was a bit immature. :D
  21. I know a few people who are apparently "making statements" by not voting for either, but voting for a third party candidate. "Choose the lesser of to evils."
  22. The Church teaches that it isn't a sin to be homosexual, but it is to outwardly display it. Jesus definitely did not hate homosexuals. The pamphlet is wrong. I like people of all orientations the same. When they starts getting weird with me is when I start to worry.
  23. Heck, we could have a load of faithless electors this year, who knows. We won't officially know for a while. :P
  24. The President is part of the government, so naturally, the government as a whole, is more powerful than the President alone. The same can be said about Congress, the House, and the Senate. The government of the United States is not a single person. There is a specific reason for this. Simply look at the terrible monarchy of King John.
