So...Yeah. they'd obviously modify their setup to disallow that. More to the point that the material can and probably does serve as publicity so it would be counterproductive to request it to be taken away, Which is what sane politicians are saying, but nobody is listening. The whole lot of congress needs to be fired. @Y_Guy: So facebook would be stripped down to just posting text and nothing else? Text can be copyrighted material. More likely there would be some kind of moderation queue.

The longer it is, the more pissed off people there are. The more pissed off people there are, the more support. Yeah, but shutting facebook off for an entire day would probably cost facebook several million dollars.
