  1. So then, final league table: Disappointed that Liverpool lost the last 2 games, meaning no Europe, but considering how we started 6th is a great finish, and things look positive for the future. Close results today with the relegation teams changing constantly, in the end it's Birmingham and Blackpool, I would've liked Blackpool to stay up but oh well.
  2. Great news, Dalglish is now full-time manager, and has signed a 3-year contract. It's about time  http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/kenny-signs-three-year-deal Also important is that first-team coach Steve Clarke has also signed a contract.
  3. Can't imagine they won't make it permanent though, can only think they decided to sort it at the end of the season or something and are sticking by that. But yeah being even in with a chance of 4th is incredible all things considered.
  4. Agreed, I fully expected Man United to win, but didn't expect Schalke to roll over like that, they offered nothing, apart from Neuer of course
  5. Liverpool 5-0 Birmingham. Great game  Maxi hat-trick, and Kuyt and Cole (!) with one each. Suarez was immense and Flanagan and Robinson looked composed throughout, with only a few mistakes. Spurs drew aswell, so I'm pretty pleased . Also very nice win for Sunderland after their recent awful form.
  6. Tottenham 3-3 Arsenal, exciting game, but Arsenal just really seem to lack confidence, gave away a 3-1 lead. Also Real Madrid have won the Copa Del Rey, they set out defensively as you'd probably expect from Mourinho, but to be fair it's won them the cup, against the team seen as the best in the world at the moment. Very good header from Ronaldo aswell. The champion's league games between them should be interesting.
  7. Indeed he did  I think Wenger was suggesting it wasn't a penalty at the end. And Larsson is a good player, could see him doing well at Everton.
  8. Oh wow. Almost had a heart attack watching Arsenal vs Liverpool. Lots of injuries before the game, particularly in defence, but Flanagan and Robinson (both around 17/18) were very good, Robinson in particular was brilliant. Then, penalty to Arsenal in 97th minute, then a penalty to Liverpool in the 101st minute as the last kick of the game! Lucas was MOTM for me. Arsenal way on top for most of the game, but the determination shown by Liverpool was immense.
  9. Back from The Hawthorns, Liverpool were pretty awful. It didn't help that Johnson and Agger went off injured so soon, but we could barely keep hold of the ball and deserved to lose. One positive however was that Danny Wilson was actually reasonably impressive. Barring a massive slip-up, the title looks set to be won by Man United, Arsenal just don't seem to be consistent or ruthless enough to win it. Also, Norwich beat S[bleep]horpe 6-0 today, and although he didn't score, apparently Dani Pacheco (on loan from Liverpool) was very impressive on his debut. Edit: Haha didn't think about the censor blocking part of that out, it's Scun-thorpe in case anyone is confused
  10. Nice result for Liverpool, very nice goal from Suarez, who was lively all game  Carroll looked tired but that's to be expected, not at full fitness yet. And Chelsea 2-0 Man City, Chelsea weren't at their best, but Man City were disappointing, particularly in terms of attacking.
  11. Got this today  Second one I've had, this (Zombie) and Lesser Demon ages ago.
  12. Liverpool out of the Europa League and probably won't be in Europe at all next season. It may be a blessing in disguise, but not sure. Champions League draw was interesting though: Spurs vs Real Madrid Chelsea vs Man Utd Barcelona vs Shaktar Donetsk Inter Milan vs Schalke
  13. Not quite as extreme :-P But these are the tattoos of the Liverpool/Denmark footballer Daniel Agger, which I found quite interesting with the descriptions of what they mean. The three Vikings at the bottom of his back says: "Intet Set" which means nothing seen. The Vikings eyes are sewn together. "Intet Hørt" which means nothing heard. The Viking has no ears. "Intet Sagt" which means nothing said. The Vikings lips are sewn together. The big Viking in the middle of his back is Ogier The Dane, or Holger Danske as he is called in Danish. It is a statue which sits in Kronborg Castle in Helsingør in Denmark. It is said that if Denmark ever comes in trouble he will rise and defend the Danes. The Viking Holger Danske carries the sword Curtana which carries the inscription "My name is Cortana, of the same steel and temper as Joyeuse and Durendal". It is supposed to have originally been Tristan's sword, and gained the name "Cortana" when it was "cut down" to fit Ogier. Around the big Ogier is four major tombstones representing the graves of four legendary Danish Kings: 1. Harald Blåtand or Harald "Bluetooth" Gormsson, Son of Gorm The Old and Thyra Dannebod. He was the King Of Denmark from around 940 til 986. The nickname Bluetooth is said to have come from Haralds love of beer or mjod as it was called back then, which eventually turned his teeth blue. 2. Svend Tveskæg or Swein or Swegen Forkbeard. Was the son of Harald "Bluetooth", King of Denmark from 986/87 to 1014 and King of England from 1013-14. He is supposed to have gain the King status after fighting his father over it. The name Tveskæg/Forkbeard means two beards and he is meant to have divided his beard into two. Swein Forkbeard is said to be the founder of Swansea. 3. Gorm Den Gamle or Gorm The Old. King of Denmark from 936 - 958. Gorm was married to Thyra and ruled the Danes from the city of Jelling. He and Thyra was the parents of Harald "Bluetooth" Gormsson. 4. Knud Den Store or was the son of Swein Forkbeard and was the King of Denmark from 1018-1035. He was also the King of England from 1016-1035 and of Norway from 1028-1035. On the top of his back you can read the proverb 'Mors Certa, Hora Incerta'. It means something like 'Death is certain, you never know when'. On the left side of his chest, the names of his brother and sister is tattooed. On his left arm he has several Dannebrog tattooed. Dannebrog is the Danish name for the Danish Flag. On the back of his lower left arm he has a crying clown tattoeed. The clown is holding a yellow nine-ball. Aggers ankles read the inscriptions 'Pain is temporary, victory is forever'. On his upper right arm Daniel has yet another big Viking with the inscription "Remember You Will Die" and "Remember You are A Human Being".
  14. Was a very harsh decision with the sending off, and though they play brilliantly, I often don't like them much either :-P And Shaktar are looking a pretty good team, score plenty of goals.
  15. Yup way better than a sulking Torres. ......still can't believe Kuyt got a hat trick. He was lively all through the game, and his run to set up the first goal was incredible  Also it was possibly the easiest hat trick ever, but hey, he got into the right positions at the right time
  16. Liverpool brilliant today, Suarez was amazing
  17. Birmingham have won the League Cup! And Liverpool were really, really poor today.
  18. Stunning goal.
  19. Absolutely delighted  Chelsea tactically beaten by King Kenny (agree about the permanent job btw  ). And yet another goal for Meireles!
  20. (Edit: Nevermind it messed up , but basically Gk, 3 CBs, 2 Wingbacks, 3 CMs, 1 AM and a Striker.) Looked bad at first but looked good as they got more used to it.
  21. Liverpool 2-0 Stoke :^_^: Another goal for Meireles, and a debut goal for Suarez! At least I think it was, my understanding is that if it's on target it doesnt matter that the defender touches it, it's not an own goal, however I'm not sure on that. But whether it count's as his or not, it was a good debut for Suarez. Good performance all round, Kuyt was probably man of the match for me.
  22. Did they? I think they are the winners here. Well they got a lot of money for him, but couldn't bring in a replacement.
