    No, tanking is not advised with under 70 defence, and even then you'd have to use things like excalibur/bunyip to be really effective. 80+ is recommended. Good setup for ~80 def: Swap Arma helm/Fury for Arma pendant/Torag's helm if you can't afford that, and swap ranger boots for snakeskin boots if you want. Ring slot can be archer/wealth/life.
