is there a strategy to fighting it? I read the Dragon Slayer guide on Tip.It and it said to run, heal, attack, and repeat? Should I just stand there and fight or do the strategy?

When you mean protect from melee, do you mean do the attack Block? And dont you get a dragonfire shield from Duke Horacio? Also how much money do you need to beat the quest?
