  1. i suppose you work for jagex then? backing up every day would just be stupid. I think you meant: not backing up every day would be stupid.
  2. I guarantee you they back the system up every day. Now for my point, grow a heart. Everything isn't always about you you you. Sometimes you have to understand the situations of others.
  3. Did I think my post through before i submitted? Look at this... "It's not us greedy kids that make it hard for JAGeX to decide if they'll do a rollback or not, it's the majority." You greedy kids ARE the majority, thank you very much. Also, don't even start me on telling 100k people bad news...in my line of work I have to relay bad news to plenty of people, and not by posting it on a website...I actually talk to the people, and trust me...it's much worse news than "Hey johnny, I regret to inform you that you're going to have to train that 20k strength experience over again." Look at posts by Deangut, Timmaaaay, and Bloodveld. Hopefully some day you may be enlightened with wisdom like theirs, but don't count on it.
  4. So you think deleting hundrets of hours total work for runescape characters is fair? Deleting millions of transactions is also fair. Deleting awesome drops that people had this day is fair? And all of that because few pople lost some stuff. Total amount of loss doesn't exceed more than 500 mil. He barely pked 1 phat and some mid-range stuff (read in interview). You think because few people got upset, jagex should make 150k customers mad? Go back to school, learn some more about real life business and come back when you get some more brains. ttyl Oh PLEASE...we already understand there will be no rollback, but my point is that it's all of you greedy little girls that make it hard for JAGeX to decide whether or not to go through with a rollback. Look at half of these posts...these kids are saying "oh no you BETTER not take my 2 strength levels away!" The whole moral of the situation is to be able to put yourself in another's place and feel/understand their situation. However, the overwhelming majority of you seem to be incapable of that. A lot of people keep blaming the people who got killed, saying that it's their fault they were there, and they wanted to be killed. You know that's a load of bull. What are you going to do when you're standing in Falador park selling some gear, and some guy comes out of nowhere and pretty much 4-hits you? That's what I thought. See how bad you feel about losing your 2 hours of work? Now think about how these other guys feel about losing half a year's work, if not more. I'm not debating JAGeX's point of view, I know they did consider a rollback, but by the time it had come up, it was far too late to follow through with. My only argument is for those of you little punks who post about Durial saying he's so greedy and corrupt, then you turn around and post that you would rather keep your 80k ranged experience than let another guy keep his hat.
  5. I know a rollback won't happen, but I think they should have actually done it when the event happened. I feel for those that lost over 100M worth of work, and a rollback would lose me maybe 100k cooking exp? Big deal. I already have the fish in my bank, I would just have to cook them over again. Most of you dolts don't even grasp the situation...you would be reset to earlier that day, and you would only lose any items or experience you gained that day. Oh no! I would lose 34 magic levels I gained in one day! WAH! You gained 34 magic levels in one day, you can certainly do it again...others lost months and months of work when they lost their hats. Oh no! I would lose the final 2 million coins which would buy me a hat! Get a grip...you can make 2 million coins back in a day easily. You cannot, however, make 100M+ coins back in one day easily. You say thousands take priority over the maybe 100 players affected...however, it's not quantity, but quality which counts in a situation like this. Big deal, thousands of players lost a few hours of work. Compared to those that lost months of work, I really don't think your one strength level matters that much. And to that one MORON that claims the threadstarter is a narcissist...WHAT ARE YOU SMOKING? Use words when you KNOW WHAT THEY MEAN! I don't know about you, but the threadstarter seems a whole lot farther from narcissism than most of the others posting on this thread. Have a little heart people.
  6. Yup, I cut about 1.3k oak planks with that method, and just leaving before they return helps out a lot.
  7. If you leave your house before the servant returns from the sawmill, the planks automatically go to your bank, eliminating one step.
  8. I've got one question for you...what's the limit on the amount of things the demon butler will carry?
  9. Yeah...the garden really is a disappointment. I had this wonderful idea...I would cut oaks in my garden then have my servant "plank" them for me and I would get cheap, fast, and easy experience. But oh well, the oaks are just a couple extra seconds away...still very cheap, fast, and easy experience.
  10. That obnoxious monster can't apologize to you, for you killed him to obtain a cape! OK, I rate you 9.3/10 this time, noting the equipment you used to do the dirty deed. Hey - dirty deeds, done dirt cheap! Hahaha, just kidding, I know the bows are quite expensive, and the runes also, good job though.
  11. Nah...it was a good story, and that subtle suspense there when you got hit a 79...that was awfully sneaky of you. Overall, I give your story a 9/10.
  12. Best story ever? I think so. YES! My favorite part was when your mom said to do your homework, and you were like...fine. Keep up the good work. A close second was when you brushed your teeth then ate a hot dog...hot dogs are the best breakfast food ever. Congratulations on the cape, seems like quite the intense slaughter-fest to me...and I don't have prayer so I wouldn't stand a chance.
  13. How could you fall for that? When you click to challenge the level 3, his name is bright...when you click to challenge the 69, his name is red/orange. It's really not that hard to know who you're trying to stake...and you can actually clean these guys if you know what you're doing. Some of them like to do food on, and some other weird rules. If you catch their rules, a lot of them actually have horrible stats and you can take all their money.
  14. Heres my 2 cents as well I dont remember the dragon battleaxe ever actually "replacing" the dragon long , as it has always been a very inaccurate and slow weapon, and the whip did not replace the dragon scimitar , the scimitar was released on March 29th, 2005 , Slayer was released on Jan 26th, 2005 , quite a while after many many players already had 85 slayer and were selling whips by the masses :) On RS2 you are absolutely correct, the dragon battle axe, and actually battle axes of any sort, are too slow to be feasible weapons. However, he was talking about RSC, when only pures used the dragon long, and anyone who finished the hero's quest used the battle axe because of the extra couple of strength points it had.
  15. I really hate stating the obvious, but you're a total moron. There are about three NPCs you have to fight in that quest (or more). Its next to impossible for a level 3 to do this quest. And from what people are saying... The quest more then likely has a bug. No way was this quest made into a group quest. Having help is one thing. Not even doing the quest and having others do it for you is a totally different story. Its pretty obvious he did nothing, because he would have been one hit back to lumby. And no one better even bother bringing up the "Shades of Mort'ton" Quest. That is a totally different story. That quest was intended to be a group quest. The quest under question isn't. Its kind of insulting that I nearly died there as a noob (probably level 60ish)... and then some cheap skate of a lvl 3 goes and gets a bunch of friends to do their dirty work, while they just sit back and do nothing. Sorry, but thats weak. Not only is it weak, but its probably bug abuse (which is cheating). I don't think it has anything to do with bug abuse...just a large supply of recoil rings and a bunch of people who can bring you loads of food. Recoil rings work wonders.
