Just a few questions, please help.
Yesterday i was ranging Moss Giants on Crandor in a PvP world. The reason for doing it in a PvP world is because it is peacefull, i was the only person there for hours. Well as it happned, i ran out of arrows and had to teleport to Varrock to go to the Grand Exchange. As i teleported i experienced a small lag and when the lag ended i was standing in Lumbridge with nothing but a Saradoming Platebody, Saradomin Platelegs and a Rune 2H sword. I had obviously been attacked. I lost over 40K Iron arrows, Saradomin Full Helm, Saradomin Kiteshield, Dragonhide(g) Body, Black(g) Platelegs, Black(g) Full Helm, about 150 Law Runes, about 400 Nature Runes, about 1000 Air runes, over 50K cash and a Strength Amulet(t). Yes i was pretty upset for a while and even contemplated over quitting. This being the second time i lost a great deal of money i was not very happy. I was left with only 1Mil in my bank having had over 7Mil. I was halfway to my goal to get a Santa Hat. I decided that a loss like that was not going to get me down, ive had a much bigger loss before. I set a few goals up for myself and i would like your opinion on them(Is it a good idea, How long its going to take, Were i should do it). Here are my goals: Mining: I decided to get my Mining to level 65 or 70 mining only gold. Target Level 65: Ore needed= 2695 (2695 * 486= 1 309 770 Profit)(2695/28 = 97 Trips) Targer Level 70: Ore needed= 7125 (7125 * 486= 3 462 750 Profit)(7125/28 = 255 Trips) Woodcutting: I decided to get my Woodcutting to either level 75 or 80 cutting yews only. Target Level 75: Yews needed= 2701 (2701 * 411 = 1 110 111 Profit)(2701/28 = 97 Trips) Target Level 80: Yews needed= 7133 (7133 * 411 = 2 932 663 Profit)(7133/28 = 255 Trips) Fishing: I decided to get my Fishing to level 75 or 80 fishing only Lobsters. Target Level 75: Lobsters needed= 4200 (4200 * 384 = 1 612 800 Profit)(4200/27 = 156 Trips) Target Level 80: Lobsters needed= 12 818 (12 818 * 384 = 4 922 112 Profit)(12 818/27 = 475 Trips) Smithing: I decided to get my Smithing to level 60 smelting Steel Bars only. Target Level 60: Bars needed= 9526 (9526 * 599 = 5 706 074[3 219 788 Profit])(9526/10 = 953 Trips) If i go for the 65/75/75/60 option i will have a Total Profit of 7 252 469. If i go for the 70/80/80/60 option i will have a Total Profit of 14 536 313. As asked above i wish to know how long each option will take me(trips in one hour) and were to do them. At this stage i am not really worried about how long its going to take me to reach these goals. Also any advice on better ways to make money, better ores to mine, better fish to catch would be much apreciated. Please note that I am F2P. Thank you in advance!

new mem having trouble deciding
Funny how all the TOP SLAYERS have maxed melee stats(because of slaying) and are some of the richest players in RS. I would do this "quest w/a plot" whole day if it could make so much money. Yeah i can see how making money and getting combat exp is considred a useless skill. Get real kid!

A few honest oppinions.....please!
Haha cause if i start training P2P skills ill never want to stop and ill have to send money constantly... and ill start no lifing and thats going to end up bad.... ill start making new goals... i just want to reACH my curresnt goals and then have fun in pk or something.

A few honest oppinions.....please!

you need to have started troll stronghold to get into gwd. so technically you need to have quests to be able to do aviansies. True but it's a 5 seconds quest with no requirements and it gives no members skill exp. it gives qp.... Sorry i have OCD and it will kind of bug me if i did one quest from all of them. itl drive me mad till i get a quest cape and that will never happen... Wow, some people get so uptight about this game. You could chin if you have the cash? Im not uptight, just OCD.... cant help it.... I might just settle with chinning somewhere that doesnt require quests....

Ill get ranged up using a different method, maybe knives at ankou or something. Anyway, if i decide not to touch fishing, cooking and wc, will i be able to reach the goals in less than 6months?

A few honest oppinions.....please!
Look at my post above. Also get a rune defender if your going to use the Whip. Ahh so ill be able to reach all my goals without touching a single members skill or quest? Oh and thb i really dont actually care about getting fishing, cooking and wc up. ill do those if i have time... the other goals are most important

well on avarage i play between 6 and 10hours a day due to my insomnia. The reason i dont want to do any quests is because i dont want to give up my F2P status. So avainsies cant be reached without any quests? no way around this?

in "No life" you mean how many hours a day?

Due to stupid sercomstances in my country, the only way i can get membership would be through western union money transfer. Now i have done some research and found out that its going to cost me $50 US to send anything from my country to were it has to go. This would mean that im going to pay $57 for one month rs subscripsion. I would rather make it worth my while and get a 6month subscripsion then, meaning i am going to pay round about $95 US. Im not looking to do any quests or raise any member skills. This is what i want to know. 1.Will 6months give me enough time to get : Maxed melee, Maxed ranged, 90-99 prayer, 88+RC, fishing+cooking+wc+crafting all above 85, 85+mage? 2.Will 6months be enought to have 50mil+ left after all goals are achieved? 3.Are there any wepons that are really good but doesnt require any quests to be done? 4.Do i need to do any quests to be able to get to aviansies/gwd. Thanx in advance!

Runners and Teleporters.
Hmmm i would have expected more from a MOD. Cound you not see from my siggy that i am F2P?

Runners and Teleporters.
Hmmm i know how to KO, its just hard to KO someone thats busy teleporting. I'm sure it's not impossible. Oh yes excuse me while i magically throw my sword to where ever he teleported himself so i can KO him. Seriously? :wall: If you cant teleblock, assuming your f2p take some tele runes with you to. When they tele, tele after them you've got like a 1/3 chance of being right, This isnt a good idea. With me being on low health aswell i would undoubtetly die when i tele. I would most likely get attacked by a 1-itemer as soon as i tele and having no food would get pk'ed.

PvP "safing"
If you never pvp why do you say anything about it all than? OT: Safing is like an unwritten rule of the "real" 1vs1 pkers. The reason for this is just when they eat at say 1/2 of their health all the time it's like almost impossible for both to win. I do think this rule only apply's to "real" battles (forgive me using the word "real" all the time), which doesn't include getting specced by some 1 itemer who doesn't really want to fight anyway. But for proper 1vs1 battles no "safing" is just really the only way to go. Unwritten rule my [wagon]! Its just an excuse peole use when they are angry for loosing. Safing? There is no such thing! its called wanting to win. TBH i think people who go around calling you a safer when you eat are pathetic.

Runners and Teleporters.
The other day i decided that i was going to do a bit of PvP, something i dont do often. I walked around in the PvP Hotspot for over 15minutes to find an opponent my level. Finally i found a level 112 opponent and we started our fight. We were both wearing full rune, so we would have got a decent drop when one of us wonIt went on for probably 4minutes, 4 very fun minutes. We were both out food now, but i had an advantage of a bit more health. i got him down to something i would have guessed as 25hp. Just when i got my 2h out for the KO he teleported. I was so angry and annoyed by this. Why does he PK if he is not willing to loose every now and then? Share some of your PK stories where you got "cheated" out of a win. What suggestions would you give to stop this from happening? Discuss.

Getting 95Ranged....
I dont think 30k-40k a hour is a correct number... The fastest exp in F2P for ranged is,was and will always be Ice Giants at about 20k exp a hour. U must be kidding... i was getting 50k xp/hour at the hobgoblin peninsula powertraining with bronze arrows at 70 range... in f2p Its never crowded, sometimes a meleer comes by but if ur fast enough he wont be able to attack any hob, so he will log out. And remember, ur ranging across the water, so u CAN attack more than 1 monster at the same time, sometimes i was even attacking 8 hobs at the same time. LOL 50K exp a hour? I dont think i can believe that.

Rapid? or Accurate?
Ive got a really tight budget. Will i make back all the money spent on arrows if i train at Moss Giants and sell the runes i get there? (Ill bury the big bones)
-
Rapid? or Accurate?
Which is better for ranged training? I tryed each one out and with accurate i hit alot less 0's and alot of 11's. With rapid i hit alot of 7's and 8's but also alot of 0's... Is accurate better ot is rapid better?

Getting 95Ranged....
Sept 11th 2008: Thats like Safespotting at mossies...Too crowded and way to slow... Sept 17th 2008: I dont think 30k-40k a hour is a correct number... The fastest exp in F2P for ranged is,was and will always be Ice Giants at about 20k exp a hour. I vaguely remember the same topic being asked before and I managed to find the posts above. On Sept 11th, juxtaposing Ice Giants and Moss Giants, you said that safe-spotting was too crowded and way too slow. Then later on, you said Ice Giants is the fastest exp for F2P's Range. Currently, it's back to the description of 'dead slow and boring' again. ;) So.... what now? Guess Ice/Moss Giants are 'Busted'... As for Lesser Demons, you'd be competing with other safe-spotters for them, as mentioned by gold514191, unless play-time is right. Our very own Forsakenmage trains there though so it wouldn't be any wrong to go there to get some exp + chance at a Rune Med drop. 'Plausible' but not the fastest definitely. Giant Spiders... with a decent defence and some mix-and-match protection, they will be any F2P high-level players' friends for that journey to a 99 combat stat. With no armour (not sure if their chitinous exterior counts as one), them attacking constantly one after the other plus there's an abundance of them... need more be said? Minimise screen, watch video clips, pick up arrows from all 4 directions every now and then, move to next room to start the aggression if they stop attacking.... Lather, rinse, repeat... Exp is definitely less than compfreak's 64k per hour for a F2Per but surely faster, if not the fastest, than Moss Giants and Lesser Demons for speed training that is. Quote from Phyto's Guide: "With speed training, you are normally ignoring drops and most of the time even losing money. Although it has a big price tag, the rewards can be amazing." (Nice and detailed guide by the way Phyto) Link to guide: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=180&t=745185 I thought this true, but after long hours of training i started doubting this and i was right to doubt. Ice Warriors/Gians are horrible slow.
