  1. the numbers are different. that is true. i jumped from 43% on p2p to 309% on f2p. now here are the reasons i think they are not calculated independently. 1. before last night i had NEVER been on a f2p pvp world. never. not even once for fun. if the ep is totally separate, i should have had 0% ep when i switched to f2p. 2. when the clock ticked 30 minutes and i would have gained more ep, my percentage dropped from 309% to 100% on the f2p world. i did not kill anyone. either it's a glitch, or they decided not to allow players to have over 100%, even if it's carried over. 3. when i logged back into p2p my ep was down to 14%. it seems an unlikely coincidence that my ep dropped 2/3rds on f2p and also dropped 2/3rds on p2p. again, i did not kill anyone on p2p either.
  2. please read my post on this page. what happened to my (and my friend's) ep occurred in the wee hours this morning. (around 3:30 am EST, date 6/19/09.)
  3. today i tried pvp worlds for the first time. (i'm a lover, not a fighter! but i really want some brawling gloves...) i was running around a lot, just trying to figure out what i could *do* to skill and not get pulled into a fight. at one point i had the bright idea to hop to f2p, in case the ep was linked. well, i went from 43% ep on p2p to 309% on f2p. i didn't screen shot it because i didn't know it was odd. anywho, time passed and i gained some ep. it dropped to 100% on f2p and i freaked out. *^_^* i hopped back to p2p and found my ep was at 14%. :wall: i did not kill anyone. unfortunately a friend had followed me from p2p to f2p, and when she returned to p2p her ep had dropped from 87% to 19%. she did not kill anyone either. this may be a result from the latest update. but i wouldn't recommend hopping between p2p and f2p.
  4. so sorry to tell you, but tonight i found one right above the al kharid mine. i don't know how large his wander area is, but some people said they found that guy at the mage arena training area, and some found him south of varrock. i just don't want anyone to exclude al kharid. *^_^* also, i know a cc has been posted, but i used "penguin find" tonight, and that worked very well. it's an easier cc name to remember, and it was very populated when i used it.
  5. i wanted to re-emphasize this. ^_^ a good house design speeds up training, saves money on prayer pots, and it's an easy one-click tele if you use a tab. whenever i'm fighting *anything* in the slayer tower, i always grab a few house tele tabs before i head up. when my inventory is full i tele out, recharge prayer at my alter (if needed) and take the portal back to canifis. it takes less than a minute for me to recharge everything and bank. it's like having a prayer pot and a tele combined. \ (in my home the chapel is connected to the entry portal, and the portal *room* is connected to the chapel. the quest hall (with glory amulet) is directly left of my entry portal. everything is close and convenient.) as for guthans.. i understand your guide focuses on not using it, but it's not evil. ^_^ i trained to 85 slayer without guthans. heck, i might have even reached 86 or 87 before i bought it. but now that i have it... i love it! i use it at black demons and i can finish my entire task without needing to bank. i've tested multiple times and the money i make from black demons (and other monsters) more than covers the cost of repairing the armor. true, it takes up two inventory spaces the way i use it. but i also don't need to fill my entire inventory with food. so, 2 spaces vs 20+... i'll take the 2. ^_^ i will say this though: i did not like guthans at waterfiends. >_< someone told me it was a great way to fight them, but ew. i just did not heal fast enough to be comfortable. (i get nervous any time my health dips below 50%.) i do enjoy waterfiends now, and i can't wait to bring my bunyip there. ^_^ anchors away! oh! speaking of the bunyip.. i think you should really emphasize just how valuable the bunyip is. (even more than you already have.) when i go fight dusties i bring a super set, alch runes, 2 bunyip pouches, slayer gem, karamja gloves, and about 10 monkfish. i've done this twice now, and BOTH times i ended up eating the monkfish (without needing to be healed) just to free up some inventory space. clearly, i wasn't using guthans, and i don't own a ss. the bunyip provided all the healing that i needed. lastly, i haven't tested this for myself, but someone told me that you get more ranarr drops fighting abberants when you use prayer. i have no idea if it's true or not, but my average trip (in the slayer tower) takes 3 prayer pots, and then i'm full of yummy herbs i want to use. ^_^ (ranarr, kwuarm and up.) on average i get between 7-10 ranarrs for each trip. i would love to see a comparison between magic def and magic pray with specters. of course, now that i have a slayer helm i'm looking forward to trying them with a cannon. *cackles with glee* this is a good guide, and i hope you're not discouraged by my (and others') disagreements. clearly we think this has potential, otherwise we wouldn't take time to add our comments. ^_^
