I mean nintendo's mario btw. We see it happening in the videogame industry every couple of years, another fabulous series gets flushed down the toilet (sonic and crash bandicoot come to mind), but mario has never gotten stale. The "mario" franchise (games that bear his name) altogether have sold over 200 million copies and the plumber himself has appeared in over 20 games (not including sports or party games) and overall has showed his face in over 200 games over the years. Why aren't people tired of mario?, Does mario have what sonic doesn't? Does mario still have that "it" factor? But seriously can you look me in the eye today and say that without mario that the platform genre would still be alive today, In the last decade platformers have been on a nosedive (save mario), sonic and crash's best days were left in the 90s as shooters and rpgs became popular and less and less platformers were being developed. LittleBigPlanet is a great game but it didn't live up to sales expectations,now sales don't = good/badgame, it just shows that the general public isn't as hungry for platformers as in the days of old maybe platform lovers are a special breed but when i look at super mario's galaxy's sale figures i sratch my head, do people buy galaxy because it's a platformer or do they buy it because it's super MARIO galaxy, what exactly makes this short plumber so popular. Sonic has aged horribly and if his next game flops SHOULD go into retirement but mario is l ike the new kid on the block. Franchises come and go but can mario stick around and keep the platform genre alive for another 10 years?

You know what im talking about, You're in halo 3 about to headshot this annoying, whining 11 year old when BOOM your disconnected or there's a power failure or your smack dab at the end of a boss fight you pause the game, you return to find the controller in your younger siblings hands and your character dead. It happened to me once, i was playing the legend of zelda ph for ds, i had just collected the rest of the golden ship parts (about 4), beat the maze on expert (Got a heart container) and managed to beat a dungeon, I am about to save when all of a sudden my ds crapped out on me because it wanted charging, Im shocked because i was sure i had plugged in the adapter but i see the plug lying there on the bed and then i realize that my 4 hours have been wasted, i haven't touched the game since Has any of the above ever happened to you when your hours of hard work got wasted because of one mishap whether it be younger sibling, angry mom who turned off the console,losing your memory card,controller crapped out on you,lag, or some other freakish situation which caused you to lose your data How did you react? Tell us the story of it?

Okay got rid of everything, but it's still sluggish, the pink problem has also been fixed

running a scan as we speak, really really sluggish btw, it found two trojans so far but it's about 60% complete, i updated my driver last week but the problem still exists. Will report back when scan is over

Okay im having a problem with my dell latitude laptop, everything is fine at first but it gets slower and slower the longer i stay on, i go to task manager and it says that the cpu usage is 100%,so i stop a few of the processes running until only firefox and crictical processes are running, 15 minutes late the cpu usage is 100% again, ive run virus scans with norton (used then uninstalled), avg (uninstalled),mcafee(same) and spybot search and destroy. They all got nothing. What could be making my pc so slow Graphics card, on random occasions, pink appears in the background on the laptop, it does not cover the whole screen, it can just be seen in the background, and when it appears the computer crashes,the pink is of transparent colour btw.

Hey all i need a relatively moderately priced desktop ($1000-1500) range which brand and model do you guys reccomend. I will use it to play runescape burn dvds probably listen to music i want a desktop that's quick even when i have like 7 programs open Ive only had experience with dells so i don't know much about other brands @ mylez I've heard that before but im not THAT tech savvy

She's a good parent, she knows what the esrb is for and i won't try to cross her by even asking her to buy me a game like cod5 or fable 2, because i know that is the day she throw my xbox 360 out of the window.She's the reason i don't have an xbox anymore (i asked for cod3 and after she threw it outside, she went out and bought the game anyway knowing that i couldn't play it.)
