Sinkhan touched on a good point, slayer is excellent for charms! Especially those Chaos Tunnels tasks. Typically (from my experience from 60 summoning/slayer to 80 summoning/slayer) collecting all charm drops will result in summoning and slayer levelling at the same rate. I would however disagree that slayer is not good for money, as I frequently get dragon tasks and other such tasks which make allot of profit.

My income basically comes from slayer and farming runs. I got lucky with 2 dragon skirt drops and a 24 clean tortsol drop yesterday, so slayer with a bit of luck combined with farming between tasks is excellent. Combine that with kingdom management your talking about some series consistent income. My farming run (which I repeat 2-3 times per day) utilizes 4 of the 5 available patches. I farm with snapdragons exclusively, which can make between 90 and 150k per 75 minutes depending on yields. I use magical secateurs (sp?) to increase yield with super compost. I havnt touched dungeoneering since level 39, as I don't enjoy it. I get about 120k slayer Exp per day using Kuradal (sp?). I average around 4-5 hours a night, which is fairly slow Exp but I don't rush. To summarize, farming snaps covers the cost of slaying with prayer poisons, and more. Slayer is still a very profitable way to make some nice reliable income and I would recommend it to anyone coming back to the game.

Thank you Zeno for hasty reply. I should have been more clear: I plan on switching to magic seeds ASAP, and your suggestion with the Stranger Plant will help allot! Thanks allot for doing those calculation, I should have done them myself, but I over thought the whole situation ha! I'm more than happy to pump some serious GP into getting 80 farming, as I feel it's more than worth it.

Hey guys! I'm planning on buying 71 to 80 farming. My current plan is to buy Palm and Yew seeds till 75, and once I hit level 75 use Magic seeds and Palm seeds. This will ensure faster levels and less face-palm (<- diducwhatididthar???) from Maple seeds. I plan on doing Snap dragon runs also (5 patches, average yield of 6.5/patch after doing a sample test of 100 seeds). My daily farming routine will be: Tree run (all patches) x 2 per day Fruit tree run (all patches) x 1 per day Snapdragon run (all patches) x 2 per day (I usually do 2-3 runs per day, but I'll round down to 2). So my question is: HOW MANY SEEDS?! I'm fairly terrible at math, and not sure where to begin with calculating seed requirements. Any help here would be super appreciated! My current farming exp stands at : 879,570 My goal exp is 1,986,068. Thanks!

I agree with you in saying that slayer is a highly frustrating skill, and often has losses (not only in currency, but in time wasted, and the like). I also agree with you in saying that slayer is a great skill, for the reason that people thrive after a good drop, or rare task, or to be able to finally slay an abyssal demon! Personaly, its the thrill of slayer im after. Afterall, theres not allot of things that beat finally getting that dragon chain drop, or getting a dragonfull helm from the task many people hate :) Great thread, it helps see slayer from other peoples points of view :)
