Minigames such as the Fight Caves were designed to be optional parts of the game that aren't needed for the "main part" of it. People who trained slayer above lvl 85 and then 90 have been waiting for a new monster for ages. And then to be told that you need to complete an optional piece of content which is flawed in many ways is bullcrap. I think Jagex's original idea behind this was "what minigame reward can we give another use to, to make it seem less crap". Agreed 150%

Fair enough, and true. Im just mad because they gave in, its my whole issue here. As long as they keep giving in, the ranting wont stop. It proves that whining about something long enough will eventualy get it that way, as long as it doesnt have anything to do with RWTing. I wish they would just leave content how it was added and not change it a week or two later. I feel the same way. I don't have a problem with the compromise, but it worries me that Jagex caved on the issue so easily. I fear that it'll only become easier for them to continue to do so in the future. By giving in, they encourage disgruntled players to complain all the more; ranting about 'elite' content/updates has been proven to be effective, and so it'll now become progressively more troublesome over time. :mellow: Your comparing apples to oranges. Gamers idenified a problem. Jagex took action and corrected it. They listen to the people that pay their salary. I can see how the 2 or 3 thousand firecapes would be mad, but that is selfishness and unfair. Getting to 93 slayer is an enourmous task itself. Otherwise, raise the level to 95 or 99, then no one will complain on either side of this issue. BTW... only about 17k people have 93 slayer or above. That is accurate as of today from the highscores board on rs. .

Your wrong. It's only 17k people. Of those that still play, probably 12k or so.

I'm glad that Jagex is taking care of the needs of the less-abled. However, I'm angry of that fact that this means sacrificing the needs of the majority of the players: Elite content. I'm even angrier with the fact that that there's no way with verify who's needing this update, but everyone would be taking advantage of it anyway. Like someone said, at least give a token to someone who dies at Jad, and exchange that 10 (or more, MORE) tokens for the right to fight strykewyrms. If you're willing to die at Jad that many times, due to whatever your issue is (or wasting resources without putting up a fight), I'll give in to you. People that are disabled do play runescape...

Boy.. some bitter children out here. Don't be hater. Half of you whiners don't even have close to 93 slayer. So, unless you have 93 slayer, you don't have [bleep]ing rights... I do...and I think the change is great. .

I think this is a GREAT change. I spent all that time getting to 93 and then can't do anything with it because my computer is too slow. At least I can spend slayer points to do the task now. I think that is an equal compromise.

I'm glad they are changing it. I have 93 slayer and no fire cape. I tried 5 times and can't get it. I play runescape on a laptop with slow graphics. By the time I can get the prayer to switch and register, jad owns me. However, i did upgrade a desktop with a better $150 graphic card and the difference is tremendous, with almost instantaneous prayer switching. So i will give it another go. But I feel for those who can't afford the upgrade. I agree with the adze compromise. At least that is bearable.

Get a projector. I play runescape on a 20foot 1080p screen with 7.1 surround sound. It's incredible. You can get a hi def projector for about $700 new or $300 used.

Everything is staying even right now. But if a new skill comes out (monery drainer or item) everything will plummet for awhile. People are anticpating the skill, and thats why rares have dropped. Since the new skill didn't come out on the 11th, people are confused and holding. But I suspect as the new skill comes out, they willl drop. So I would invest in commodites right now, instead of rares. Then once the rare crash is over, buy rares.

I do not agree that masks are oversold. They were overbought. Someone tried to buy them out and ended up driving them up to ridiculous heights. But there are too many masks out there to sustain that kind of buyout. They had to crash, and they did. Now they're near a reasonable level. Santa still is the better buy right here though. Be greedy when others are fearful, be fearful when others are greedy.

H'ween masks are finally being bought with mints on RSOF. I think they will start rising now that a new skill has not come out. They have been way oversold, by panic. .

LMAO- Everyone thought a new skill was coming out today and sold off all their rares. Glad I bought rares this weekend.

Santas are next. So take this opportunity to buy one while you still can. People will not be able to afford masks, so they will go and buy up santas soon. GLTA

They will eventually dry up. D bones are easy to get, but take awhile to get a decent amount. High level players can get then efficiently, but more economical for them to kill higher level monsters for better loot. If you have d bones, hold on to them As more people do the quest they will go back up.

For those of us that are at work and can't view the update because of proxies..... can someone cut and paste the update like it normally is?

Panic dump? I think not. This is a true price crash. No more inflation from 76king, so all rares will tank now. Prices going back to normal finally. Party hats back to the sub 100mil range. Santas and masks back to sub 20 mil range. I think easters and pumpkins will stay the same though. ------my opinion -----

I still think invisibility would be cool. Imagine using it in bounty hunter! or pvp worlds. Not being able to attack when invisible of course, but then being able to appear and spec someone with d claws!

Skilling prayers would rock. I definately wouldn't mind anything to make mining easier. God, mining is so slow....
