  1. http://open.tip.it/q...-rune-mechanics After Step 3, before Step 4, you can enchant the Emeralds at this point. In addition, if you speak to Clerval with 20 Essence in your inventory (take them out of your pouches if you have any), you can deposit both the Enchanted Emeralds and the Essence with him to free up inventory space. During the quest you're supposed to make 5 Steam Runes. I didn't get a chance to check if you could use runes bought from the Grand Exchange and skip the whole altar procedure. After the quest, if you talk to Clerval with a Rune Guardian in your inventory, he'll give you a series of tips concerning Rune Guardians: You can change their colors, and you can change the color of your Infinity robes with their assistance (not noted in the quest's tip section, but it's noted in the Item Database for Rune Guardian and the colored Infinity robe pieces). http://imgur.com/a/DNxNX#4
  2. http://open.tip.it/p...tania_tasks.htm For Task M12, I was able to open doors without having the keyring in my inventory. For Task M10, the items required are also 2 Buckets of Water and 2 Barley Malt, as per the Cooking Guide for Brewing. For Task H11, one of the items required is also a Hollow Bark. (Task M18 can also mention to hold onto the bark you chop for this task). http://i.imgur.com/STXwR.jpg
  3. http://open.tip.it/p...le_trekking.htm For the Shade event, the NPCs may give you one boost each of the three types, or may give one boost of the same type. So if you save them early and find yourself running low on prayer or HP, try talking to them and figure out if they'll boost it for you. Ghasts, Shades, Swamp Snakes, Giant Snails, and Nail Beasts can all be safe-spotted using a ranged attack (preferably Ranged; Magic requires runes which take up inventory space, and a Halberd may cause the monsters to move from their desired spot, plus Halberds cannot be used to safe-spot Snails). - For Ghasts and Snakes, move them to one side of the event entrance, then run back to the entrance and hide inside the "doorway". Also your companion can also be used as a safe-spotting obstacle. Snakes are extremely fast and aggressive though, so this may be difficult to perform and may be easier to just attack them head-on. http://i.imgur.com/qBXhW.jpg - For Shades, you can shoot over grassy-rocks or low walls, or also using your companion as a safe-spot obstacle. http://i.imgur.com/sVQHg.jpg http://i.imgur.com/ETcY6.jpg - For Giant Snails, the pond in the middle of the map is your safe-spot obstacle, just shoot over it. http://i.imgur.com/PKZYR.jpg - For Nail Beasts, the pond on the east side is your safe-spot, but it takes some manipulation because the Nail Beasts may find their way around the pond (in this case, you can use your companion to block the path). http://i.imgur.com/Pq3QY.jpg - In all of these cases except Snakes, if your companion uses ranged or magic attacks, they can safe-spot and solo all of these events, causing them to level up very fast. Again, this takes manipulation so that the monsters are placed properly, and they don't wander off into a non safe-spot zone. Bog - Once you've determined if a patch of bog is unsafe to step on, the option to walk onto it will disappear, so you'll never have to worry about stepping on a patch that you know is soft. Burning Grotto - Once you've attained the Water power, click on the burning grass patches in rapid succession and your character will douse it super fast, so you don't have to wait for your character to "wind up" into the spell (like a baseball pitcher winding up into a pitch). EDIT: Campsite/Log Bridge - I thought it was Easy-level companions that would auto chop logs for you, but the other companions can do this too, but not all of them can (I think...); the level that this feature is unlocked differs between each companion. In addition, in the Burning Grotto, the Swamp grass is actually called "Strange reeds".
  4. http://open.tip.it/q...al-workshop-iii For Step 3-2, it says to pull the west lever. I thought this meant the lever on the west side of the room, the one that operated the Press (been a long time since I did EW2). Instead it should say something along the lines of "Pull the lever located on your right side, the west lever." http://i.imgur.com/9BsqH.jpg http://i.imgur.com/GL2rp.jpg For Step 3-2, it says "Drop the bar with the west lever." It should be noted that the lever has to be pulled twice in order to actually drop the bar; pulling it once only lowers the claw, and if you operate the Jig cart lever, the bar will remain in the claws' grip and the Jig cart will move on without the bar on top of it. http://i.imgur.com/6AnMs.jpg The rewards section needs to be updated to include 2 spins on the Squeal of Fortune (as do a lot of other quests). http://i.imgur.com/NxGSX.jpg EDIT: Step 15 says a cutscene occurs. There's no cutscene, just an animation of the central pillar rising.
  5. http://open.tip.it/q...acy-of-seergaze For Step 15, you don't need to pick up a Pickaxe or Tinderbox if you have one on your toolbelt. http://i.imgur.com/2zMie.jpg http://i.imgur.com/hJSgd.jpg For Step 18, you can add the Silvthril chain mould to your toolbelt right away, and you won't need to carry one in your inventory anymore (though you can pick up extras). For Step 14, I've created a handy map to make it easier for a player to find the target house in question, since the written method is a little difficult (you'd have to hover your mouse through the houses in an attempt to locate the 'Mass of debris', which is a little tedious). I'll take no offense if you choose not to implement my map though, and you may edit it as you please. http://i.imgur.com/1I6eQ.png Also for Step 14, it may be clarified that 'leaving the Myreque base' means leaving the hideout, going back up the stairs, jumping the gap, going down the ladder and heading out the nearby door. While it's not necessary to add, I actually attempted to go out the door located in the same building as the hideout, and it's locked. For Step 27, you cannot skip Veliaf and attempt to go straight to Drezel, then go to Veliaf to reveal the secrets of the flail and finish the quest at the same time; you have to pick your way back out of Meiyerditch and go to Veliaf first.
  6. http://open.tip.it/q...ers-and-cellars During subquest 0, step 2, it says to head over to the Lumbridge Castle COURTYARD, but Robin is actually along the south wall of the castle. The location is shown in the accompanying picture, but it lacks the NPC dot that represents Robin.
  7. After the quest, when you kill the Cave Wolf Matriarch and hand its skull to Claus, he will offer you a list of rewards, one of which you have to pick: http://i.imgur.com/CEy1j.jpg When building decorations, build one of each type, otherwise Philipe will be unimpressed by repeated decorations. For the Cave Wolf Matriarch battle, my recommendation is to go with a full melee setup, and set "Protect from magic" on your Quick Prayers. While battling the Matriach, if you keep your Protect from Magic prayer active for too long, even though the Matriarch is within melee distance from you, it'll keep using its howling attack and not attack with melee. So keep your prayer off until you see the animation where it fires its magic attack (a purple orb), activate your Quick Prayer, then before the orb graphic strikes your character, turn it off. By turning it off, the Matriach will keep attacking using its Magic attack, only to be blocked by your prayer. Repeat this until it dies. The post-quest Matriach battle is a one-time deal. After you kill it, you cannot re-enter the sewers again. http://i.imgur.com/mM0Gg.jpg
  8. I initially assumed that all the pieces would be posted today (July 12, 2009), but I think I found a piece, and it's on a thread that was not created today. So I'm going to assume that they have been spread out all over threads varying over different dates?
  9. Yes, sorry I misunderstood the map. I didn't think that the swamp you circled was considered a "path" since it led to a dead end. I assumed that when it said "unable to cross swamp" meant that the green area you filled in was an uncrossable swamp (from one side).
  10. You're not looking closely enough. On my ImageShack picture, above me you can see the swamp area and below me you can see the grid you have to walk across. That matches my location on the Underground Pass map which I'm referring to, marked by the "Use Rope" icon on the map.
  11. That still doesn't change the fact that the swamp is no longer there, regardless of whether you can cross or not, and regardless what side of the chasm you're on. The guide through the Pass says there's a swamp, but since that swamp is no longer there, the instructions are now incorrect (I actually kinda got confused when it said a swamp and there was no swamp).
  12. Link to Mining Maps list: http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?page=mining_maps.htm Link to map: http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?page=isafdar_arandar.htm ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On the Mining Maps list, it says there's only 4 Adamant rocks in Tirranwn. This is incorrect, there is now 7 Adamant rocks. Both the list and the map needs to be changed. http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/3593/addyrocksintirannwn.png
  13. Link in item database: http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_id=1718 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Under Notes, it says that eating the undead Cooked Meat will damage you. But in all three times that I ate some, it either HEALED me (I think for 1 HP) or did NOTHING. http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/9822/undeadcookedmeat.png
  14. Underground Pass map: http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?page=underground_pass.htm Tip.it walkthrough: http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=65 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the walkthrough, there's a paragraph that says "Proceed through the cave you will run into an area with two paths; one is a swamp that you won't be able to cross, and the other a big hole in the ground." This is now incorrect, the swamp has been replaced with a Rope Swing. This means that the Underground Pass map has to be updated. http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/6994/undergroundpassropeswin.png =================================================================== I will put another post like this under the Quests sub-forum.
  15. Tip.it walkthrough: http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=65 Underground Pass map: http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?p ... d_pass.htm --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the walkthrough, there's a paragraph that says "Proceed through the cave you will run into an area with two paths; one is a swamp that you won't be able to cross, and the other a big hole in the ground." This is now incorrect, the swamp has been replaced with a Rope Swing. This means that the Underground Pass map has to be updated. http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/6994/undergroundpassropeswin.png =================================================================== I will put another post like this under the Maps & Calculators sub-forum.
  16. Tip.it walkthrough: http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=149 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ During the quest, when the weeds are being raked, the Rake might break into two pieces (like the Pickaxe random event long ago). You can reattach them by using either one with the other. http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/1411/myarmsbigadventurerakeh.png In addition, you don't need to bring all the farming equipment with you from a Tools Leprechaun, there's one right near My Arm (see yellow dot near Farming Shop icon in above screenie). However, this will mean that you will lose equipment when you give it to My Arm, leaving all Tool Leprechauns without stored equipment. ================================================================= The rewards in-game states that you get a "Disease-free herb patch", not a "disease free farming patch" as stated in the walkthrough. Even though under Tips, Tricks & Notes it states that My Arm will not let your herbs get diseased, it can still be misleading that the patch is also for other farming products. So the rewards in the walkthrough should be changed to reflect what it says in-game. http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/497/myarmsbigadventurerewar.png
  17. Tip.it walkthrough: http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=113 Under Step 8 in the walkthrough, apparently you have to use an empty Ogre Bellows. Mine was still full, so it took me a moment to figure out what was wrong. So, under Step 8 it should be noted that the Ogre Bellows should be empty for dye to be used with it. http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/2163/mourningsend1emptybello.png http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/8493/mourningsend1dyeonbello.png =============================================================== Under Step 13, it says that the Barrel of Naphtha will appear in your inventory when the bar is fully green. This is incorrect, it will appear in your inventory (using up an empty Barrel) AFTER you close the window (ignore the fact there's already a Barrel of Naphtha in my inventory, this screenie was taken during the second attempt). http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/1431/mourningsend1fractional.png In addition, in the walkthrough it calls the device a "Fractionalizing Still", but it's called a "Fractional Still" (see above screenie). Also, if you know what you're doing, it'll take only 6 Coal to fill the bar green. Additionally, you use the Barrel of Tar on the Fractional Still FIRST, before operating the Fractional still (before the Fractional Still window opens) (no screenie because I didn't know how to take a screenie that would prove this). =============================================================== Under Step 16, it should say that the Grain inside the church is on the second floor (took me a moment to figure this out). http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/5862/mourningsend1graininsid.png =============================================================== Toad Crunchies can be player-bought; doesn't have to be purchased from the Grand Tree food shop (this quest was probably released before Grand Exchange, so it would've been much faster to go to Grand Tree instead of finding a seller). So under Required Items at the top, or in Tips, Tricks & Notes at the bottom, it can be stated that Toad Crunchies can be player-bought. http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/3801/mourningsend1toadcrunch.png =============================================================== Under Step 5, it says that you can't enter the Mourners' HQ and go under the trapdoor if you're wearing non-Mourner apparel. This is partially incorrect; you cannot wield right- and left-handed equipment and neck-wear, but you CAN wear a ring. http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/227/mourningsend1wearingrin.png =============================================================== This screenie was taken during Mourning's End Part 2, but I'm going to assume that it also applies to Mourning's End Part 1. A familiar is allowed inside HQ and under the trapdoor. http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/176/mourningsend2familiarok.png
  18. The rewards in-game and the rewards posted in the Tip.it walkthrough don't match up. http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/8739/landofthegoblinsrewards.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=181
  19. Under Easy difficulty achievements, the explanation of E8 (grey box) and the Other Requirements box (blue box) says that you need a Net or a Harpoon, but this is partially incorrect since you can use the bare-handed Barbarian method. http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/1333/fremennikdiary1.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?page=fremennik_diary.htm#easy ========================================================================= Under Medium difficulty achievements, the explanation of M11 (grey box) says "Steal from the fish stall". This is incorrect, since I stole a Raw Lobster and didn't unlock the achievement. I had to thieve again and steal a Raw Tuna before it unlocked (presumably, because a lobster isn't a fish). Also, the task for M11 (blue box) doesn't have a period at the end of it. http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/2272/fremennikdiary2.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?page=fremennik_diary.htm#med ========================================================================= Under Medium difficulty achievements, the explanation of M6 (grey box) says to kill an Ice Troll. But it can't be ANY Ice Troll; I killed a couple of Ice Trolls Runts and didn't unlock the achievement. I had to kill an Ice Troll Male instead (I presume killing an Ice Troll Female will unlock it too). http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/2396/fremennikdiary3.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?page=fremennik_diary.htm#med
  20. You can safe-spot the Bandos Avatar using Ranged (and presumably, Magic and a halberd) as long as you don't do it while standing beside him (he'll never approach you to melee you). In addition, you can't set up a Cannon during the fight. http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/4444/chosencommanderfight1.png http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/9048/chosencommanderfight2.png ========================================================================= Interestingly, you can do the Tears of Guthix during the quest (I had to wait 4 days to see if I could do this). This is useful if you're the kind of person who doesn't take the time to go there (like me; I did the Tears while I was in the area during the quest). http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/9528/chosencommandertearsofg.png http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/9528/chosencommandertearsofg.png ========================================================================= During Step 30, you have to give the -Bandos- Pendant to Zanik, but it doesn't say that in the Tip.it guide. http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/4089/chosencommanderpendant.png http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=202 ========================================================================= Under Step 18, it gives the options that you should say. Some of them don't match what's in-game (I didn't get a screenie of them all). http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/6813/chosencommanderwording.png Additionally, there are more chat options before what is listed in the walkthrough, but I didn't get a screenie of them because I didn't realize they weren't listed in the walkthrough until after I had gone through them.
  21. Under Prayer subheading, it says that Broodoo victims only take around 1-4 damage. Not to be a nag, but I've managed to hit a 5 on them (no 6's yet). In addition, Barbarian potions DO NOT work on Broodoo victims, probably only regular potions will (see the "Nothing interesting happens." in the game window) http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/7918/taibwowannaicleanuphit5.png
  22. Between steps 14 and 15, there's a bank box which says what items you'll need. Under "Required", there should also be "Knife", because you need to bore holes in the ice to insert the Sapphires (I banked my Knife because I thought I didn't need it anymore, and I had to go back and get it once I found this out). http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/6198/talesofthemuspahknife.png
  23. I don't want to do this, since it's such an old thread, but I checked the quest guide and it still hasn't been corrected so... BUMP!
  24. The Dragonstone Necklace and the Skills Necklace both have different Hi Alch prices. For all other jewelry, both the unenchanted and the enchanted forms have the same Hi Alch prices. I don't know which of the two is correct. Dragonstone Necklace: http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_id=1793 Skills Necklace(4): http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_id=6901 EDIT: It also appears the Ruby Necklace and Digsite Pendant have different Hi Alch prices as well, but the Digsite Pendant is not a regular enchanted necklace (it's untradeable). That might need some looking into as well. Ruby Necklace: http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_id=927 Digsite Pendant(5): http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_id=6919 EDIT: Same with Emerald Bracelet, Diamond Bracelet, and Ruby Bracelet. When I get the time I'll try and high alch these items.
  25. BUMP (should have done this months ago =P) Actually Kennith's parents are above ground, in a house (I don't remember which one).
