  1. I've confirmed Lokiz's submission. If you do not continue to make the sketch during the fight with Volstrom, you do not lose your piece of papyrus and can simply make the sketch once the fight is over. Therefore you do not need to grab an extra piece of papyrus.
  2. Here is the screenshot I took, in case it falls off of the recent events section before you get to it. http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/3271/gilx.png
  3. Oh thanks - great idea! http://services.runescape.com/m=adventurers-log/c=XxE16hBr7C8/display_player_profile.ws?searchName=gilathuin Player is Gilathuin. I'll take a screenshot and post it too.
  4. I was with my clan down by oo'glog. Someone killed an Ogress Champion and got an effigy from them. He says it has happened to him one other time.
  5. I was reading the mithril dragon hunting guide, and it says that the small safe room you enter upon going through the whirlpool is marked with a red circle. However, if I'm not mistaken, it's actually marked in green on the little map. =)
  6. I just finished my hard ardy tasks (hooray!) and continued talking to Aleck to receive the Elite ardy tasks. However, he did not mention anything about them, and when I restarted the conversation to discuss the task system he made no mention of them. Maybe under the new task system, talking to him to receive the Elite tasks is no longer necessary? If that's the case, then the information instructing players to get the elite tasks from Aleck under the Diaries section should be changed. Thanks!
  7. Hey there, I think this tip would be helpful to add under the Runecrafting guide. There are currently no temporary level boosts listed there. Oldak in the Dorgeshuun city will potentially raise your magic or runecrafting level by up to 2 levels when asked about what magic he has discovered. It it also possible that he will temporarily lower it by up to 2 levels, however. -Aurhora Edit by Bogsie: well, she did this one herself now :P
  8. Hi Diesel, I don't, actually. I may nip down there again to finish up getting those silly parts though! I will keep a record of my drops this time. -Aurhora Figured I'd add this one! ~Bogs
  9. I'm killing Giant Ant workers in an attempt to get Clarence's body parts. I've killed 50 so far, still no sign of any arrows. I have, however, gotten 8 pearl bolts as a drop from them.
  10. Hey all, So I recently was given a tip to improve the quality of your loot. You use a fishing level boost (ie. an admiral pie) to boost your fishing level right before you check the net at the end of the game, and if your boosted level allows you to catch fish that you normally wouldn't be able to (provided that they are a reward from the fishing trawler game) they may show up in your net. For example. My fishing level is 72. You need level 76 to catch shark. If I eat half an admiral pie right before I check the net, my boosted fishing level is 77. Thus shark appeared in my net. I have tried this, it works. My friends with higher fishing levels tell me it works for turtles and manta rays as well.
  11. I've been killing Dried Zombies lvl 94 for Dealing with Scarabas and I received 1 mithril bolt as a drop. The bestiary lists the mithril bolt drops as starting at 2. =) Let me know if you need screenshots. -Aurhora
  12. Hello! I just finished My Arm's Big Adventure and I used Tip It's quest guide as supplementary material, as usual. =) I noticed in the guide that it said the spade, rake, and dibber we were to bring with us would not be returned to us. Thus I got extras to bring in my inventory for the quest, assuming, of course, that they would be taken from me. However, each time after I handed them to My Arm, he used them and then handed the tools back to me. I would suggest updating this in the quest guide, as bringing the extras instead of relying on the leprechaun on top of the Troll Stronghold took up a few precious inventory spaces. Thanks. =) -Aurhora
  13. Thanks for your response, Sportsguy. However, based on the screenshots I have collected so far, I do believe that now, even if they did not always, land in the exact same square the majority, if not all of the time. Instead of direct linking every screenshot I have onto this thread, I have instead created a special Picasa photo album to host all of my images. It can be found here. The screenshots are organized by rough location and then by specific locations. So, for example, the first pictures in the album are all of Asgarnia Stars, and the organized by specific star locations within Asgarnia. I will keep updating the screenshots as I get more. I aim to get multiple screenshots of every single shooting star location. Thanks everyone. =) --- Edit: changed to a Picasa web album instead of Imageshack
  14. Hey, I started a topic in this forum a few months ago, suggesting that some of the locations on the Shooting Star Map be updated, as I felt they were inaccurate. I received a few comments that suggested that shooting star locations vary in the exact spot where they fall. For me, as I am in an active star hunting clan on Runescape, this seemed strange, as I had never before noticed that any of the stars we've hunted to vary in their falling locations whatsoever. I have also asked around in the clan, who hunts at least 1 one star every two hours, whether or not they have noticed that stars can occasionally fall in different places. Everyone I have asked says that they do not believe the stars move. Of course, they may not have noticed small differences in location. Therefore to be sure, I would like to start a project. Every time I hunt a star or am aware of a star being found, I am going to the location to take a screenshot of where the star is located, both in the normal playing screen and on the mini-map. Hopefully, as I gather more and more data, I should be able to find out whether stars move or not. Whether or not they do, hopefully I should be able to find where they fall the majority of the time at each specific location. Here is my question. If I continue with this project, is there a way we can implement this information on the website? I have two suggestions 1) Updating the star map to reflect the spots where the stars fall the majority of the time. 2) Having small map screenshots such as for evil tree locations where you can click on the specific link for each spot and instead of taking you to the Tip.It page for the mine, etc, it will take you to a small screenshot of where the star falls. Let me know what you think. =) ~Aurhora
  15. There's the promised picture. Also, in response to Paw_Claw, really? I've mined stars in several other locations and they have always been in the same spot for me. I don't ever recall them being in a significantly different spot.
  16. Hey, While star hunting with friends recently, the star landed at the Varrock South East Mine. It landed directly south of the fence bordering the mine. Right now, the yellow dot specifies that the star lands directly North of the mine. I will edit this topic and post an image of where the star landed. Thanks, Aurhora
  17. Hey, So I noticed today, while firemaking, that I wasn't leveling up in FM as fast as I should. I had a Master Penance Horn equipped with charge, and I was using a Pyrelord as my tinderbox. Using the Tip.it calculator, the combination should have given me 280 xp total per maple log. However, I found that when using the Pyrelord as my tinderbox, I was only getting 145 xp, which is what I would normally get with a Firemaking familiar without the Penance Horn. I then tried making a fire with a normal tinderbox and found I received 270 xp, double the experience of burning a maple log. Could you possibly insert a note about this in the Penance Horn section in the firemaking guide? Also, is there a way to update the calculator to this effect? Thanks, Aurhora
  18. Hey all, I noticed that the Trouble Brewing guide lists the price of a "map" (clue scroll) from Honest Jimmy as 500 Pieces of Eight. When I talked to him, he said it was 5000 gold pieces for one. Hope this helps! =) -Aurhora
  19. Hi, I killed a level 28 Hobgoblin near the Horned Graahk on Karamja today and received trading sticks. Trading sticks aren't listed in the Bestiary entry for them. Hope this helps~ -Aurhora
  20. Hey, Under the pineapple entry in the Items database, Pineapple has two price tables. Thanks, Aurhora
  21. I have a few more screenshots. The first two show a hard delivery, the second two are an easy delivery. Both say 40 xp for some reason. Maybe the amount of xp is related to the item delivered or the distance traveled? I'll do my best to take a screenshot every time I do a delivery. [hide] [/hide] ~Aurhora
  22. Hi, I've been doing a bunch of deliveries and recently upon completing a delivery I was boosted a cooking level. It seems like for each delivery you complete you earn a certain amount of cooking experience. Here are pictures showing the increase in experience after completing a hard order. [hide] [/hide] It seems like the increase in experience is 42 each time for hard orders, but I'm working on getting more photo evidence. Hope this helps! ~Aurhora
  23. Hi, A friend of mine just finished the Observatory Quest and he saw Capricorn as his constellation. Instead of receiving strength experience, he received an uncut sapphire. Unfortunately he doesn't have a screenshot. Hope this helps!
  24. This also goes for Broodoo shield(yellow). =)
