Yeah I understand that, I don't expect it to be exact. But any kind of timer would be better then rough-guessing like what I'm doing at the moment. I'm not sure why I would have to use a spreadsheet if a simple addition to an already existing idea could be made and no hassle for me would be necessary! Thanks for the feedback though.

I wasn't sure if this is the correct place or not, but I did look and couldn't find where I could make a Tip.It suggestion? My suggestion is pretty basic, I would find it really helpful for a Compost Timer to be inbuilt into the Farming Timer as I do try to make a lot of supercompost and forget the times I put it on and where etc. Please comment your thoughts! I'm mainly a ranger, and I was considering getting 45 defense for 3rd Age Ranger armour. What are your thoughts ? I promised myself when i started the account that i wouldn't get defense, but there's no reason not to now that I really think about it.. stats are in sig.

Yeah i've done that bit, and i've already got some of the things of the second wishlist. But this is killing me! The Tip.It guide says i can kill Wallasalki's! i just killed 4 and NOTHING. it's a pain in the [wagon]! Does anyone have any ideas?

I've hunted about 20 Sabre-Teethed Kyatts but i haven't got the teeth yet? I have to kill either these, or wallasaki's and wallasaki's are extremely hard for me .. just curious if someone knows what i'm doing wrong? or if anyone else has had the same problem ? thanks.

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but Jagex made a change to the system that you can get back to Ape Atoll. It's now possible for pures to get there without accepting the defense exp, i'm not sure if anyone else knew this, but I only just found out :? Same jazz though, you just talk to 'Daero' about returning to crash island etc.

Chins = 636gp. 25,000,000 / 636 = 39,308 39,308 X 240exp = 9,433,920 total exp. 9,433,920 + 844,932(current exp) = 10,278,852 Total. LEVEL = 96. EXP TILL LEVEL = 413,777 EXP TILL 99 = 2,755,579. hmmm..... i'd say that's definately worth it. but then i still have to pay for prayer pots etc...

hmmm. but you agree on the bandits? well fire giants don't really interest me, i mean it wouldn't make that much difference if i chinned from 71 to 99... still not sure how much 25m would get.. i'll work it out now

I'm about to have a stab at 99 range, just curious about a few little things... I'm thinking red chinning to 99 on bandits? I don't have access to ape atoll because i can't accept the exp from MM. and roughly, if i spent around 25m on chins, how close to 99 would that get me? Thanks alot!

Yeah I have decided to stay 1 Defense, if i'm really keen on getting 70 defense, i'll just do it on my old main, it's too good being 1 defense. thanks for the discussion guys.

mainly just to bring plenty of super energies and manta's. don't try to just run the course, suss out where your going... where zombies are etc. don't forget, that when you hide under ledges from the rock fall, that there can sometimes be [bleep]es there, every HP point counts.

Hmm... No, pest control is much too slow. Bandits might be a good idea...

oh and btw, gnomes take forever, sometimes they're not even attacking. just always keep manta's and anti poisons on you throughout the quest, always.

you have to talk to the guy to get the reward after the quest to get it, so if you don't want it don't talk to him. okay, i did this quest with 1 defense and prayer, so i'll tell you the technique i did. because there's a large square area in the middle of the arena that you can't enter, use that to safespot. set up a cannon on one side of the square and sprint around to the other side (parallel to cannon side). when doing this, MAKE SURE the demon stays on the side of the cannon, and doesn't follow you. when and if you need to top up your ammo, just run around the opposite side that the demon is closest to, top up your cannon, and bail ASAP. remember to bring manta rays too, just buy at the max and wait a little while, prob bout 20 minutes.

The debate is great guys! Seems as though the win is going towards keeping 1 defense though.. I wouldn't get it any higher than 70 if I did get it though, it's a pretty tough decision...

and please don't just say, "Pures are lame, get defense!" or vice-versa.

The main reason I created this account was that I wanted a pure for my main account. I promised myself I wouldn't get Defense, Prayer or Summoning. Well it didn't take me long to realize that I need at least one of those skills to be effective at pking, so I decided on getting Prayer. Now I look at all the benefits of getting defense, particularly to Level 70, where I could wield Armadyl which would greatly improve the effectiveness of my Range. 70 Defense is also greatly effective for my Magic and Melee stats. Getting Defense means I can also complete a LOT more quests, therefore a higher trade limit. The question is, should I stay a 1 defense pure, or should I get 70 Defense? If I do decide to get 70 Defense, I'll also be getting 70 Attack for Dharoks. (NOTE: I will NEVER train summoning.)

Yeah I've been at the Hill Giants, getting roughly 11 per trip. Need more if I can though...
