The fist of guthix looks almost identical to the stone of jas dipiced by Jagex. If anything is the stone of jas, I would vote for that (the FoG)
Of course, feel free to think that. I am just proposing that this MIGHT be the Stone of Jas. And as previously mentioned, I think I have a good deal of evidence to back that up.

The colour of the Stone of Jas is told in one of the Ancient Pages, which are dropped by Mithril Dragons. I remember reading it, and a mention of some other sources to the colour of the Stone of Jas being crimson, but I can't find any list of all Ancient Pages or anything, so it's hard to prove.

It's just a non descript circular object, people jump to too many conclusions :wall: :wall:
A non descript circular object that fits the desciption and whereabouts of the Stone of Jas perfectly...
as most of the pretty much normal stones in runescape ... a crimsos stone isnt such a rare thing in the real world , it shouldnt be rare in rs too ...
and darn it its a magical stone , it might have the ability to change colours when its bored lol
Yea, but would you feature a large normal, but crimson, stone on your front page? Didn't think so :) And isn't the location somewhat supicious to you?
As for the colour changing thing.... I doubt it. Firstly, it doesn't have a will. It's magical, but it's still a stone :P Secondly, why would it be described as crimson several times when it can infact change colour?

Ok lets see it is this stone. So what? it exists, we already knew that.
Yea, but we have never seen a proper picture of it before, or what size it is or anything. I think it would be very cool if that is the Stone of Jas.

I think you're taking this way too far. Looks like just a rune essence stone to me, which would go with the whole RUNEscape banner thing...
Except it's not the banner, it's the picture for the log in buttons. And the fact that rune essence isn't crimson, nor is it circular (the one you mine the ess from).

Of course it's a cavern.... thats part of the evidence for the fact that it could be the Stone of Jas in the front. As for the evidence of the colour being crimson, it was said in one of the ancient pages, and mentioned elsewhere too. I will try to find that page for you ;)

The monster looks that the evil mahjarat who I killed in temple of ikov.
That would be Lucien. By the way, you didn't kill him, he's immortal. And yes, many people think it's Lucien, but some also think it's Zemouregal, seen in Defender of Varrock.

Anyone else wanna weigh in?

But that was green/neon. It has been said several times that the Stone of Jas is red/crimson. Did he say straight forward that it was the Stone of Jas in the cutscene though?
And other than the colour, doesn't the stones look awfully similar?

Very, very nice thread  I read most of it, and I'm no less pumped for the GM quest now :D

If i were guthix i would just put the stone somewhere where everyone can see it ... if you guard something thats the worse way to guard it ... everyone will try to take the thing behind the guardian ... if it is around normal rocks , and it looks like a normal rock , no one iwll find it ... the juna thing is too obvius.
Well, its a huge, perfectly round and crimson stone that emanates with power.... I doubt it would go unnoticed lol. Especially by the likes of Lucien.

Overall, I think this is almost overwhelming evidence that the stone in the picture IS the Stone of Jas.
Even if Jagex did intend for that to be the Stone of Jas in the picture, it's not conclusive evidence for anything.
But it is..... for the fact that the stone in the picture is the Stone of Jas.... might have misunderstood you :)

I'm sure you're not the only one Jagex is focusing on atm. There are probably a couple thousand appeals to look at.

Thats exactly what I was thinking \

Could the stone in the background of this picture be the Stone of Jas?
Or what else do you think this stone could be? A regular stone? The soul altar, or possibly a altar for a new rune?
However, I have some proof that might point towards it being the Stone of Jas.
It's in a cave, and we know Movario was down in the Lumbridge and Dorgeshuun caves looking for the Stone. The oracle has also been heard saying "The snake of Guthix guards more than she knows". It's round, and most people picture the Stone of Jas as round, and it's crimson, and there is some evidence suggesting that the Stone of Jas might be crimson too. In one of the Ancient pages there is a reference to something crimson that might be the Stone of Jas.
"A momentary flash but I saw it! Hornless but the same deep crimson of its set-mates. A glorious thing to see, guarded by the creatures in the upper galleries. I must have it, I will have it!"
Overall, I think this could POSSIBLY (as to avoid any further flaming : )very well meen that the stone in the picture IS the Stone of Jas.
If this has already been discussed (and it would be very weird if it hasn't), then please tell me :)

Picture of the Stone of Jas?

Fair enough, but as it's called the Stone of Jas, I'm gonna guess that it's not something living. And as it's not something living, I doubt it has a will. I can of course not be sure though.
