Are you really suggesting that's the case for the vast majority of them? Come on, you're losing credibility with every passing post if you do.
If I base this on what I've observed of strippers of various kinds, I could safely say that a lot of sex-workers actually enjoy what they do. I'd like to think that this principle applies to prostitution as well. Could it be that prostitution's not to blame for those who hate the job - but rather, whom it attracts to use such services?

EDIT - essentially said that though two consenting adults can have their own freedoms to do whatever to themselves, it doesn't mean that it's within their best interests. But then again, we've had homosexual incestual relationship discussions before. Yeah, my analogy sucked.
-
What two consenting adults do is nobody else's business.
This is the reductionist argument that means very little. I'll illustrate - two consenting adults, whom are siblings of the same sex, fall in love and enter a relationship...
-
EDIT - upon reflection, not a great discussion.

I'm just a tad late on the breast-size discussion, but I seem to have changed my mind on it. I'm surprised myself that I'm into a girl with practically no boobs at all, but I still find her beautiful (for sake of reference, A cups on a tiny 28'? frame). I'm wondering why it matters to you guys though.

I hope you guys realize that there's a reason for why some of us get annoyed at the use of poor grammar. If people write with poor grammar, it's annoying to read, which is like trying to listen to someone who's annoying to listen to. Oh, and I've edited in some statistics on this thread. I'm surprised I'm still the top poster with my year-long hiatus.

EDIT - removing my own post.

I've been reading a lot of food-related books recently.
- Hungry City - How Food Shapes Our Lives, Carolyn Steel
- Fast Food Nation - What the All-American Meal is Doing to the World, Eric Schlosser
- Stuffed & Starved - From Farm to Fork, the Hidden Battle for the World Food System, Raj Patel
- Shark's Fin and Sichuan Pepper - A sweet-sour memoir of eating in China, Fuschia Dunlop

I've been drifting through the past few months with all the events in my life starting to play out. After finally succeeding in enrolling on my preferred University, I'm starting to adjust to University life - including getting myself drunk (this'll be a wonderful story if it didn't involve anything confidential). It's pretty frustrating to me that I'm not actually learning much from a lot of lectures in the first year, with a lot of material touching on the syllabus from sixth form. Hmmph, there's a lot more to say but I would prefer to keep this post short, so I'll just have to respond to questions later.
Goodnight, Tip.it

[...] It's only weird if you presuppose men came up with the idea independently, which is a decidedly atheistic claim.
I could be interpreting this wrong, but I don't see how you could conclude that man presupposing the idea of 'god' (i.e. man creating 'god') independently as 'weird'.
-
I don't follow - why would it be weird to consider that man created 'god'?

I'll answer a few questions, but if you want to see some of these implemented, by all means head on over to FU&S!
For the "back to board" button, you should make a post about that. Personally, I think it should be bolded and/or boxed with a size increase.
You don't need to use the

tags for most Youtube links as it automatically embeds the videos for you.
Never used the anchor shortcut, sorry.
... to expand on the automatic embedding of YouTube urls - they must follow the http://youtube.com/watch?v=[videocode goes here] to embed correctly. I've seen too many people try to embed a url that contains other features in it, or use the youtu.be short-code on here.

... I wonder what his motive was. It might just be time to rethink gun-control policies.

Oh look you made another thread based off of something in askreddit.
Not entirely, as it was so disorganized on there. Do consider contributing to the thread instead.

I couldn't find any other related threads that it could fall under, so I figure it wouldn't be a terrible idea to make a new one for it. There are tons of things that we discover about random things, like @Randox's post here:
"If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and it shouldn't, use duct tape." - someone someplace?
I think super glue needs to be added to the universal tool belt. Just not sure how to fit it in. Super glue is wonderful for fixing the human body. It makes a great substitute for stiches in a pinch (or on the battle field), and it can mend nails, and all kinds of non human based trinkets as well.
For not the first time in my life, I stubbed my toe and broke my big toe nail, and used super glue to hold it all together. My best repair was the last one though where almost the entire front third of the nail came off side to side. Took two applications (one to set it, and one to give it enough strength that it could stand up to socks and nail clippers), but I got it back on. The real trick is making sure you get the nail exactly where it used to be, or it feels super weird.
And once its cured, the stuff isn't water soluble (though a few months in your mouth will dissolve it, which I found out after using it to repair a cracked a retainer), so it doesn't come off in the shower.
Just wonderful stuff.
What amazing thing have you discovered recently? Do note that it could be as trivial as you'd like. I just discovered that glue is a great way to get rid of splinters - just apply it on top, let dry, and peel it off.

It sounds like you have some serious talking to do with your parents, but that might depend on the nature of your relationship with them. Do you think they'd listen if you had a respectful discussion about how you're being treated, e.g. the seemingly overprotectiveness of your mom?
-
-
If you want advice on that, you may need to tell us your dietary habits first. In other words, what do you enjoy eating?
-
It's a random question that recently came to me: what inconsequential, yet mind-blowing discoveries have you recently had? For the sake of context, I had a friend who didn't know that breakfast meant 'to break one's fast'.
Post away!

I'd argue that you should presuppose a non-existence, since that's the default state of skepticism. If it wasn't an archaic creation of humanity, it's awfully inconsistent with history.
It does sort seem odd at first glance, but when you think about it, there is a nice reason to it (and also that poster above me has made an incorrect logical jump).
I made a hasty analogy that's poorly thought out, but it does highlight a point nonetheless.
EDIT - I think I might be confusing terms here, might not be presupposition that I'm referring to.

I'm curious as to whether it would be more applicable to say, Off-Topic than RuneScape General Discussion. It's an uncommon problem, but sometimes compound words like wrist-watch without the hyphen gets unnecessarily censored. (wris[bleep]ch)
I'd personally consider the 'f-word' a non-offensive term. It's not uncommon to say that something's '[bleep]ed-up', which is a perfectly acceptable context (then again, you could argue it's not necessary)

I haven't really had the chance to reply to this earlier. Here's the simple response:
You wouldn't accuse non-golf players as being the moral equivalent to that of a rapist, would you?
Sex work, sex trafficking, and the law

I think there is a way to separate pornography and prostitution though - the selection of whom to engage in intercourse with. It's probably harder for prostitutes to discriminate against the fat, the obese, and the ugly... let alone the STD-saturated john whom may be cheating on their partner, if it's based purely on money (which street prostitution, and window-prostitution is pretty much). If we're talking about escorts, on the other hand...
EDIT - Oh, I appear to have replied to the wrong person. I meant that to be in response to the idea that porn = prostitution with a camera.
