Lost City at a low Prayer level? Why not? Not that hard I guess, but Monkey madness? With low stats as well. Also getting enough runes to kill the tree might be a bit boring, a lot of wind strikes needed. But I agree lost city would be the easiest to do. Another thought, enchanted jewelry will be difficult to get, high crafting+magic levels needed. I have an idea if anyone is interested and will make a video on it later, going to be forming a "clan" based around working together for the quickest access to the best stuff (people focus on specific areas, then for example cut those logs into yew bows for a reasonable price relative to how much profit will be made from selling to the next person who will alch them for about the same profit as well). Might be a stupid idea but I am sure some fun can be had :P. Cool man, looking foward to it. I was trying to find something like this. Also since dang 10 def will start anew, i think i'll make his primary skill crafting, since it fits in line with my training methods and will make good money. Dhide will be in demand soon and I'll be racking up a lot of hides assuming everything goes to plan.

Apparently, you did. Why not go the 1 def 60atk hybrid route. robes are cheap and disposable and I can see rune will be VERY expensive for a long time... Also, on an unrelated note, were unids turned into grimy herbs at that point? And as for why a pure is a terrible idea: Zamorak and other god books: lawl have fun with that. People will find ways... trust me, I did it with no prayer when i was lvl 40 something IIRC. pure clans will post all sorts of methods Dragon weapons: You are going to do monkey madness and other quests with a low prayer level? Bones are going to be really hard to get your hands on. Again, people can do all sorts of quests with no prayer, it will be more expensive this time around, but its possible. there's also lost city since the d long isn't a bad weapon at all for pking and general use untill you get your prayer up. Magic/Range: Magic and range training is going to be brutal, no mass arrows/runes to cast cheap spells with, its going to be lots of part or full DIY. I can see people struggling with mage...(cept for me, I already have a training plan based off the one I did with dang 10 def), but range is easy once you get the lvls to smith and fletch iron arrows... and with people powermining iron at every triple and double spot in runescape, iron ore will be plentiful. most pures trained with bronze/iron arrows and an msb anyways. willow shorts are also pretty decent xp pking: No one will have gear worth pking... And they will not want to risk their rune vs your robes.this, unfortunately, is true. but later on i forsee green dragons being targets for monster hunters, which will bring in pkers to kill those people for their hides/bones, and better pkers coming in to pk them for their supplies. these supplies will be sold to the welfare pkers who are after green dragon hunters, and the cycle continues. Potions are going to be REALLY expensive for even longer than rune will be rare, herblore is slow and difficult to train, and there are few other sources of potions into the game. This means no super str/att pking for you. true... but pkers really don't need potions until they begin to use prayer heavily, which nobody will use for a while. potions will just remain a luxury item until there's a decent supply. Training: Every Pure training spot will be packed to oblivion, can see like 20+ people at rock crabs constantly. so will every training/skilling spot in existence.... pure or no pure everything will be packed, since there will be people with the same idea as you. Just my opinions/predictions Also, I really do not want grimy herbs, and I think a lot of people would agree with me, to me unids are almost as important as bank sales and no ge. I'm personally indifferent to this.

I'm pretty sure everyone i pkd with as a lowhp mage just bought runes from aubury's.... you only really needed about 30-40 for a pk trip and some binds if you're going deep or teaming. There were sources for things prior to the GE lol and player price will obviously be higher than store price, but you can still get a decent amount from them,

I can't remember what the sweetspot was but it was somewhere in the low 20s or so with 41 mage. i think a character with those states was at lvl 15 or 16 or so hitting 13s. I remember it vividly because I died to one with my 30 something mage and high 20 hp mage pure

I'm torn... I want to play this, but I don't feel like firing up my old accounts. If this doesn't reach the 5$ extra mark, i'll be stuck with a useless normal rs membership... But then again 1 month free is nice... :k

Jagex is spamming the hell out of players to vote for it. Showing advertisements on the homepage, lobby, log in screen, facebook etc. They're also offering free first month membership to the people who vote for it. I think there's other stuff but i'm forgetting it right now. With the exception of the ingame stuff, I wouldn't call it spamming. I mean most people barely read the front page as it is, and it wasn't very visible at first. Now that people actually know what's going on they'll participate. We wouldn't want an inaccurate poll now would we? I would definitely rather have a 98 civic than a newer civic, this from someone who works at honda.

*Goes to vote yes just because realizing this* (Not really) It's going to be so much fun to see the players complain about that. "You wanted 2007 scape, well you got it!" I was mostly indifferent to randoms... it was rare for the lethal ones to pop up when you were at low health. But god it was so funny when it happened to someone else and everyone jumped on the pile Oh yeah! Speaking of that, there were no gravestones back then. Back in the day, my friends and I used to cut mages at the old Wizard Tower, South of Seers. We used to get all variety of random events with such regularity that we used to ignore them and wait for them to get angry, then lure them into the Wizard's Tower and lock them inside. Our record for most creatures in the tower at one time was 7: three drunken dwarves, two Hydes and two Highwaymen. Problems arose a short time later when, one of the fellows, having forgotten he had already locked one of the Dunken Dwarves in the tower attempted to lock another random event creature therein ... lol.... See? people will adapt just fine.

tl;dr EDIT: I agree with all of those points, buti've always felt as though the player base was never some majority filled with skillers, but a relatively equal split between pkers, skillers(those who focused on skill achievements primarily), adventurers(jack of all trades), monster hunters, merchants, casual players, and specialists(bug finders, youtube heros, ect). The only real issue was who actually fit in what group, since they all depend on eachother in some way or another, or at least they did.

Cars
You're silly Europeans for not wanting to sell your fuel efficient cars to the Americans. Just California, as far as I can tell. ...which is calculated on the European cycle, which is anywhere between 20 and 30% higher than the U.S. cycle. Taking that into account puts the Polo squarely in the sights of the Prius, which is a larger car. How about the rapidly growing number of cars that we build that don't use any fuel at all? The hate carries over from the (previously correct) idea that diesel cars are loud and smokey. Just 10 years ago VW was exporting diesel Jettas to the U.S. that make quite a racket (I've heard a few examples over the past couple months). Maybe efficient diesels will catch on here one day, but it's clear that U.S. and Asian manufactures are going the direction of electric cars and it seems the European manufactures have little desire to export their best diesels to the U.S. You also forgot to add the higher price of diesel engines (and the the trims they go in) due to emissions regulations.

Cars
I'm assuming you're from europe, if its anything like the american r12-r134 process, its pretty much that..... fittings need to be changed and the system needs to be evacuated for the new gas and oil. Some cars will need their driers replaced.

I don't understand, does anyone have any real data on how much of an investment jagex is making on this? Why are so many people implying they're wasting millions on this or something? Maybe I missed something...

Do you mean the new old game or the new old game? I'm saying if the main gaine reverted back to 03, tiffers would still play and get over it. There is no black and white, both worlds will have advantages and disadvantages, seen and unseen. I don't know where you get that idea from. No way I would play a game that has gameplay somewhere between Superman 64 and watching paint dry...
