Ogre bow :P Imo you have two options.... All knives or half knives half arrows. If you intend to train slayer on mostly defenceless monsters, the knives probably have higher dps than all those options. If you think you'll end up doing higher leveled monsters you should either use an msb+ steel arrows, or (i'd recommend this) a Rune crossbow with mith bolts. Steel bolts are just too weak to even be bothered with imo EDIT:lol @ all the efficiency freaks

Yea slayer was a [bleep] prior to those updates... I think it should be patched, but either way it goes, burthroping isnt too bad, since some of his tasks have good substitutes for high lvls as well. I just did a ghost task on tormented souls and they're pretty good xp/drops.

Technically zammy flame (and claws of guthix to a lesser degree) has the highest accuracy, as it lowers your opponents mage lvl and with that, mage defence.

Would I have a pretty good chance staking with zammy flame? I'm completely new to the staking thing, but i'd like to try it out every now and then. I plan on getting 70 mage/range, 60hp with 15 prayer,my melee levels are pathetic but i plan on training them though pc when it becomes viable. Currently 57 mage/55range 44hp Also, dumb question, but what is mage boxing anyways? no armor mage fights? or are godstaffs allowed?

The dds is only op to pures... its harmless to most players with any kind of defence levels or bonuses honestly. It's also very erratic. Not true AT ALL. I got killed by 30-30+ specs MANY times as a maxed tank ranger with Torags helm, V skirt, rune kite, etc. Mabye it was just me then... Mostly depends on their att level. If a PKer only has 60-70 attack, yeah the DDS is less of a threat (if you're a tank). But by the time I was a maxed tank, everybody was 90+ att, at which point the DDS was a huge threat. I'd rather have an opponent with 99 str and lower att than 99 att and lower str. Mabye it was the armor, you have to remember although you're wearing barrows gear, any ranged armor will be a weak link at those lvls. Full torags or dh is hard to hit through with a low atk bonus weapon like a dds when everyone has 80+ def.

It would devalue dragon armor and once again bandos will be the one and only armor for any pvm in the game, save a few niche roles. I'd rather not see GWD in the game, it was one of the first updates that threw so many things off balance... I will be voting no.

Don't worry, once con is back in the game, the race to 99 con and the race to 99 prayer will get rid of a lot of that cash. Then alching will bring it right back in lol
