I find monks a pretty weird choice. I guess you don't like long trips. But if you do, bring sara brews (+ s restore) or baskets of strawberries. You could take sharks, but if you have to drop some then monks would be the cheapest. You can take whatever food you like I just said monks, and it really has nothing to do with how long you will last.. O I see what you mean... in my original post I left out the brews/restores for the inv. My bad but yea of course fill the rest of your inv with 1 restore for every 3 brews.

My stats are fairly close to yours and this is what i bring. Tele tab, spear, spells, 5 antis ++ axes. In a tort I bring 13 monks and then 5 bunyips. Be sure to make it so that when you take your bob items that you take your monks first. Then when you are out of monks let the tort go if you can and use bunyips the rest of the time. This set up works pretty good for me.

How does 40 mil get 96 summoning?

If you could get summoning to 68 for bunyip and tort you could be really effective. Also get at least 80 def, 85+ is better, and for magic just use claws with charge and your mage should be fine. This is of course for maging rex. I take a tort with 13 monks and 5 bunyips. The rest of my inventory is the normal 1 super restore for every 3 brews and antipoison++.

I may not chin at all, I mean im already 87 and I cannon almost any task I can with slayer, so it wont take too long for 90. Now just what to buy with the money lol. I really cant see anything that is really "necessary"... Any ideas on that.. I was thinking about buying veracs, ahrims, karils, just to have for boss fights and other stuff.. and of course some cannonballs maybe 10k, and some snaps seeds to grow. That still leaves me with about 26 mil.

Just as I decided not to lol... But I think I may I really cant think of anything else to buy. Aslo from what it sounds like I could easily get this money back. Btw is avansies 825k an hour at 99 range or a lower level as well? I will probally just go to 95, and then get the last levels through slayer. 95 should be good enough for sara (solo) and armadyl right?

Yea the bgs was really off the wall, have never really truly considered that. So what do you suggest doing with the 35 mil(Havent said this but I do have all the essentials in my bank the cash is not a total net), just sitting on it?.. Because that would be no fun >.> played this game that way to long lol. But all kidding aside what do you suggest?

If any of you are still reading this post, I just thought of something else... and would like to get your opinion on this. Seeing as I think the rune defender will be more practical for slayer and a dfs may not be worth the 17 mil when you can get obby and granite alot cheaper. What about this instead of ranged. Buy a bgs and solo/duo bandos for fun/money and also use bgs at dks. Also just for the overall fun of owning a gs. With the left over 18 mil use it on cannonballs... and all the other good stuff that goes with slayer. What do you guys think of this option?

Do you happen to know the exp per hour, is it anything close to chinning?

Wow, thanks for all of your inputs. I think I will look into chinning until 95 and then let the rest of the levels come through slayer, and monster killing. I guess 95 range can be almost as effective as 99.

Hey guys, first post on this board. I have always read the forums here and enjoyed so I thought I would post my question here instead of the runescape forums. Well the question is simple, is 99 ranged a wise investment, meaning will I be able to gain the money back, plus make some? Here is a little info on my account. Im 89 atk, 86 def and str, 87 ranged, 90 hp, 89 mage, and 80 slayer. I have about 35 mil to spend and really I am only considering two things, 99 ranged via chins or a dfs (is this even worth it) and other combat related stuff..such as more barrows armor, more cannonballs for slayer etc.. What I like to do is slayer, I plan on slaying to all 99's melee wise and if I dont chin that is how I will achieve 99 ranged. I also would really like to get into more monster killing as I get higher levels. I figure if I get 99 ranged I could start killing armadyl, be more effective as a hybrid at dks, sara if I wanted. Well, I guess I made a new question, what should I do with the money, chin or just continue on slaying. I dont think that chinning would really put me to far ahead of slayer, because I would still be around 95 slayer to max all combats which isnt bad I guess. So is chinning to 99 ranged a wise investment? I am leaving for work and will be back tonight so I probally wont reply until later, but thanks in advance. Also feel free to add any other suggestions. P.S. the range cape is sexy...
