  1. I understand there's a reasonable amount of pointlessness about these comments, but please comment anyway. I was with one of my good friends and his semi-GF ( at a basketball game about two weeks ago when she introduced me to one of her friends. We both hit it off pretty well and had a good time. Now, my friend's GF is dropping all sorts of not-so-subtle hints (she thinks you're cute, etc.) and from what I can tell, the girl really does like me -- all sorts of conversations on Facebook, etc. I'd definitely *be interested*, however: In my life, I've seen her exactly once. I can't very well ask her out when I still really don't know her at all. From what I saw the first time, she was a really good person -- but as I said, I met her for about 2 hours. What's the next step? Second, she and I don't go to the same school -- I'm private, she's public -- how well do cross-school relationships work out?
  2. Do you often ask her open-ended questions? Such as how her week has been, or how the weather has been like. I'd go for questions that find out about her. Another thing is when you ask her. During a match she might be too focused on playing, after she might be thinking of her next game or wanting to relax. I'd talk before she prepares for the first match, it should be when she is most likely to give you the attention to talk and if things go nowhere you can just say you better start to prepare for the first match. Thanks for your input. The problem, Im thinking, is this: I dont want to jeopardize my tennis chances. If I were to escalate it a bit; trying to make her like me, I dont want to risk losing my weekly matches which have really improved my game. Will she find the extra attention good, or will she think its kind of weird and want to stop playing? Honestly, because shes shy, I really dont know. Thoughts?
  3. Hey guys, I have a question for you. Im an aspiring tennis player and Im one of the best at the club I play at. Theres this girl ironically the head pros daughter who I play with about once a week so we can both improve our games. I always have a good time playing and since its helping me get better at tennis Im happy enough doing that, but given that Im single andhow shall we put it? looking for some female company, Ive been trying to gauge her interest. She is by nature a very shy and reserved person. When I try to get some conversation going, I usually get a three-word answer or less. How do I know if this is because shes just shy or if its because she really doesnt give a rip about me? Thanks for any ideas you might have.
