I know a lot of people went to go see the movie for the robot battles and special effects to be entertained and have fun; they weren't expecting anything deep or witty. There's not too much of a problem with that, everyone has different tastes in movies. People watch movies to be entertained, but is over-the-top action and special effects the only way to be entertained? My fear is that if people keep going to movies for just entertainment in effects and action scenes, does this give the people who make movies any incentive to make "good" movies? Also, I don't think all movies that are "classy" or have "oscar winning acting" are boring; and not all movies need to be like that to be "good."
