Battlefield Discussion Thread
Speaking of the tracer gun, can someone give me a few pointers? Whenever I get a lock on on a tank, my rpg never seems to follow it. I see the orange box, and sometimes i see the distance in meters. Am I doing something wrong? Also, does anyone have a good way to shoot helicopters with a tracer?

Dark Beast's Magic attack
When using barrows armor to fight them without prayer, the dark beast hardly used their mage attack. And even then, the damage was minimal. I'd imagine the mage attack will not be the main thing damaging you if you're ranging dark beasts.

What's the reward?
Muggiwhplar's guide for the entire fight caves and sirhemen's prayer switching guide for jad are both very helpful if you want to get the fire cape. They can be found here and here. For bolts, I'd say broads are fine.

Leech Special Attack
I wouldn't get 86 prayer just to be able to use leech special attack. It's fun to mess up people using 50% or 100% special attack weapons. But if you're planning to train prayer, you may as well shell out the extra millions to get the higher level prayers. And if you don't want those higher prayers, you should just save the money.

Religous Extremism
Separation of church and state is never mentioned in the constitution. Yes, that's true. But don't the context of the establishment and free exercise clauses basically call for a 'seperation of church and state?'

Spiritual Mages
Instead of using proselyte legs, you could substitute it for monk robe bottoms for and an equal amount of prayer bonus with a slight decrease in weight.

The Expendables
From the few articles I have read about the movie, Arnold is only going to have a cameo. Hopefully he delivers with a good one-liner!

Religous Extremism
It'd also be nice if people would properly address the two clauses to freedom of religion...

Void Mage Helm - worth getting?
When I go to barrows, I bring my void set with the magic and melee helmets (I have 99 defence though). I'm not sure if it beats the usual set-ups, but you can try it out to see if you like it or not.

The Fight Caves
Yea, I was using leech range and defense on jad. I guess I finished him faster; I couldn't notice a significant difference to be honest. The healers did hit me for less damage though, if any at all. I brewed before jad came and I was still over 99 hp when I finished. I suppose it does help to some extent.

Magic Level = Magic Defence
I've always thought magic defense was heavily influenced, if not completely influenced, by your magic level. I remember a long tim ago when I finally got 70 range and thinking, "Heck yea! Black d'hide! Time to give those magers at castle wars the slip!" And I'd still get frozen in my tracks. In fact now, even with 97 magic, it still feels I get destroyed by people with 99 magic. uuuuuuuuuugh

The Fight Caves
The new curses don't give you a significant advantage over regular prayers. The reflect prayers do a little bit of damage to the level 360s, so it helps you speed things up a little bit. However, it really isn't necessary if you've already got down fire caves. Well, I can't say that. I don't have access to turmoil or soul split, and I only ranged throughout the caves. So maybe those might be a bit useful?

Ugliest item?
[>=(E3)] Why would anyone want that as a shield? Trimmed strength cape is ugly as well. Green and red? They don't match at all.

You can use different bones other than chewed bones. If I remember correctly, there are some skeletons in the cave with a "rummage" option. When you rummage some, occasionally you'll get mangled bones, or something like that. You can use these bones instead of chewed ones. But be careful, sometimes rummaging skeletons may hurt you.

Dragonfire shield
I'm sorry, I do not see the fashion appeal of bandos + dragonfireshield.

15-Dec-2009 Blood Runs Deep
As me_hate_libs has pointed out, it's essentially the same fight with the daggonoth mother in the lighthouse quest. She is a bit stronger in this quest though, so be careful.

Salamander might work for the end battle. But for the beginning fight, if you want to fight the far-away enemy, you will need a weapon that reaches further than the salamander.

[hide]Kill two sentinels, run through a maze with "daggonoth guardians," fight a lighthouse-like daggonoth mother. Some people seem to have trouble with her though.[/hide]

Kissing spoiler: [hide]If you get married with whoever you chose in a previous quest (Kingdom quest I think.) you kiss the npc. :P I got married with Astril, you go through the whole marrige speech then you kiss the npc before leaving for Rellekka. Spoiler in a spoiler: [hide]Astril gets killed by a dagannoth king in the end of the quest together with her borther (I think) and a cutscene plays where you shot a burning arrow at two funeral boats as they sail out to sea.[/hide][/hide] [hide]Ah, thanks. I thought you could save her if you married him/her. Which I didn't. >_>[/hide]

You can just not use the lamps... Then another question, can you bank the lamps? :P I'm just not sure yet what skill to use it on since using it on prayer is kinda pointless for me now, maybe mage but I'd rather wait or something. Sheep, you! > : ( Anyways, [hide]Is there any benefit to marrying astrid? I selected not too, and I am dying to know what happens.[/hide]
