If you have a fully charged one, by all means go and use it if you plan on using a shield. I'm not sure about the stats of the shield as it degrades though. But if you don't have a crystal shield readily available, just get a simple granite shield if a shield is what you want to use.

I think ardy cloak 3 is the better cape than trimmed skill cape since you already have 99 defence. And for that matter, you may want to swap out dragon boots for boots of lightness or a pair of magic-enhancing boots. However, the benefits of any of the three boots are pretty negligible so I don't think it really matters which one you pick. Since you have access to a black salamander, you should definitely take advantage of it. You usually end up paying for the cost of tar and then some with the miscellaneous drops and the occasional barrows drop. Also, I never figured out if any of the magic-boosting potions effected salamander and slayer dart, so let me know what you find out.

Like squid said, 70 mage, range, and attack works wonders at barrows because of the black salamander. Of course, 55 slayer for magic dart will suffice until then, or if you don't want to train for those levels. Also, I would recommend doing the required quests, I forget which ones at this moment, that allow you to get to the barrow mounds faster.

I find two mines, with the explosive damage upgrade, placed close to each other is enough to take out the Bradley and BMD tanks. I'm not quite sure if that would be enough to take out the main battle tanks.

Yea, sarge summed it up nicely. I should have typed that better. I meant that i would trace the enemy tank and none of my teammates would blow it up. I would destroy it myself but I was using assault. :-(

I've started playing more conquest matches now since rush gets very frustrating sometimes. I had some very good games today, played a few rounds with my friend and we were destroying. I like doing laps around a particular flag and make sure no one captures it. When I kill a person, they come back thinking I am in the same spot and I surprise them from behind! I'm also really liking the under-barrel shotgun. I get raw power at close range while still being able to have a long range gun. Since I've been using the under-barrel shotgun, I've been using the tracer dart as my sidearm. Often times, my team doesn't seems to notice that there's a nice marked tank for them though and I have to wait until the tank is gone.

Apparently, while a pavelow is spinning to its destruction, you can shot at it with a light machine gun and each bullet that hits it during that sequence would count towards cold blooded. I do not know if iw has changed this or not. Also, I thought lightweight pro allowed you to aim out of sprint faster, the in-game text is so ambiguous. Does it mean aim down sight, or hip-firing? Either way the difference is so minimal, I guess it really is useless like vale said.

Depending on what pokemon you have, can't you out-prioritize fear and it's variants with your own priority attack? (quick attack, extremespeed, etc.)

What equipment do you have right now? A cheap barrows top/legs and black dhide are pretty good, however basic they may be. Fury is pretty expensive right now, so you may want to just stick to a glory.

Focus Sash, endeavor, and quick attack? The rattata has to be level one; there might be a few more things I missed. Basically, a pokemon will out-speed rattata and attack, which should decimate it. However, because of focus sash, rattata will survive with one hp left. Rattata then retaliates with a boosted endeavor from the massive hp loss and just from the massively lower hp a level one pokemon would have compared to a level 100 pokemon. On the next turn, rattata finishes up with quick attack. A ghost pokemon, damage-inflcting weather, even switching out usually alleviates this problem. And for mckinzy, I think you could try Macho Brace, or whatever the equivalent is now. The thing that reduces speed while you train evs. Of course you'd want to avoid tricking the few pokemon that would benefit from that!

You can actually do that? I was wondering myself. Yeah, I often use it when I run out of ammo for my launcher or mines. Earlier today I fired my last shot at a tank, leaving it half destroyed, and ran up to it and followed it with my repair tool. No idea why they didn't get out. AT mines are also full of win. In rush on defence I just stick all my mines on the road leading into the base. Sometimes I sit by the road (Especially on the maps where there is lots of foliage for snipers to hide) and watch the vehicles blow up and kill the odd sniper, and other times I just leave them there. It's a great feeling to randomly have 200+ score appear on your screen from a double kill. Valparaiso is probably my favorite map to do this, the first site is always so fun. The middle road at Arica Harbor during the second set of bombs is also great, humvees front-flipping down the street. Also, almost got the mine insignia and gold star x2 for it too.

Got "The Dentist" today during Conquest on Laguna Presa. It was the last kill on a recon sitting on the far edge of the map; he didn't even move after he killed me. His name was jerkoff73, how fitting.

Fury and full slayer helm like other people have mentioned; your normal setup seems fine. Since you said you want to use torso, I won't recommend a barrows top. Instead of spending the money on equipment, buy potions and other supplies for slayer. Also, use initiate/proselyte if you have it for praying during tasks.
