They're technically called ribbons. The red one means that i joined(maybe just served) during a time of war, the blue with 3 stripes means I'm qualified with the M16, and the Blue with 2 stripes and the E means I qualified Expert with the M9.

That's boot camp. And it is like that. Im in "A" school, which is like my job training. We train all day, then usually have free time in the evening.

Essentially a head count before bed to make sure everyone is where they're supposed to be.

Gotta muster in about an hour. No me gusta.

Probably. You think I get to use that fancy stuff? I'm lucky to find a broom. Most of the time I snag a towel and wipe down the floor on my hands and knees.

Some of the stuff does suck, I'm not gonna lie, but most of the stuff is awesome.
