With that sort of starting, RJ really should have done a lot better lol. Very solid performance TKO, kept pace when outnumbered and gained when RJ lost numbers and yours increased. Despite the draw, gratz to TKO. Couldn't make it :(

Interesting ... gratz.

You guys had a very strong range unit and some very good levels - sorry for the low pull.
One of our guys DCed at the 10 man mark and then you KOed another one. Was 2nd last in that picture, took armour off and stopped eating to save time, we probably would have given you more of a challenge if we didn't have the DC and KO (+ if we pulled a few more) but there you go.
Well done, thanks again.

Solid win Poison, well done! Looks like you proved BK wrong on this occasion

Saw his original post and to answer your question if people will react, I think they might only if the correct ... "encouragement" is given. Rivalries should have always been kept in the game, maybe on War topics because HL said, it keeps things interesting, to a degree. Thats fine until people start taking things far too seriously and started DDOSing and actually going out of their way to maliciously attack people/clans over a game.
Just read an RSC UN topic about more recent DDOSing and VR leaders seem to be getting as fed up as everyone else is of all the DDOSing. The point was being made that if you find even just a few of these responsible individuals and report them, word of visits from the police would very quickly spread around the place and we might even see the whole act come to a stop. That is providing that all parties honestly want this all to stop and are willing to go the distance to make an example of one or two of the culprits to show the rest that action, not necessarily will, but at least CAN be taken if the issue is raised to an annoyance rather than mere drama seeking acts.

Well done Rejuvenation, starting off strong it seems, good luck for the future.

Gratz CA, well done, RBH looked like they did well considering the levels.
-
Gratz on your "win", shame RBH backed out.

Impressive AK Latin, well done.

Clan Europe -vs- Armia Polska
Ome of our new Trial Warlords, Nykimu, arranged a war with Polish Army with the following rules:
- Sunday 6th | | 6:30GMT Start,
- Matched Ops x2,
- Melee+Binds+Ranged | | Melee+Binds,
- Classic | | Center Bounds,
- Ring Allowed,
- CE Team Cape 17,
- NO Corrupt Dragon/Dungeoneering,
- North Attacks both rounds and
- Post Allowed.
Recently we've been lacking some basic warring ability and we wanted some calmer wars to get some much needed practice at the same time as having a challenging war.
Round 1
CE Starting Ops: 69
AP Starting Ops: 69
We started our walk-in as we usually did and charged our pile. From there, with some very good leading from Nykimu, a solid main pile and a good selection of styles and switching, we were able to take down a lot of AP members in a short period of time. I got piled first (which caught me a little off guard since I honestly didn't expect to get piled first) to be followed by Tesh and Captain V. We ended strong with 20 out of 23 remaining.
Thanks to Warrior, Tappi, Somalia, Redroc, L_esley, Killer and Mand Cami for dropping.
CE Ending Ops: 60
AP Ending Ops: 0
Round 2:
CE Starting Ops: 72
AP Starting Ops: 72
We started round 2 getting a strong lead with another strong pile and some very solid tanking, Bigroror confidently calling good piles. Then the tanking slipped when I got piled and got totally banged out only later to be followed by a fellow accident prone Leader (who wishes to remain anonymous) - the CE admin team hosting ... well ... a spectacle ... to say the least. Luckily this didn't matter and a solid lead was already secure to the point of victory.
CE Ending Ops: 36
AP Ending Ops: 0
A basic, yet strong performance CE, well done!
Thank you very much, as always, AP for accepting our war - its always a pleasure to fight you guys, much appreciated.

Looks like DW actually did very well getting half the kills against 40 people outnumbered by 20.
Gratz LGZ.
-
You tanked, most of DW didn't - your styles were very well balanced.
Round 1 - tanked you off once.
Round 2 - last man standing.
-
Sniping stops binders from hitting binds allowing the tank to run away and not get hit.
Mass binding stops people from hitting the pile so the tank won't get hit.
At the end of the day, they achieve the same thing, preventing people from hitting their main pile.
If its at the end of the war and your trying to keep someone alive, its not really sniping. In the middle of a fight though when the war could go either way, yes it could be classed as sniping.

TRWF
AP or RHK

Its a skill, its available to everyone, if you turn it off you might as well start putting caps on people with high magic levels. The items you get are the rewards for training to a high level, exactly the same as the rewards for training high magic where you can land more binds on opponents and splash them when your tanking.
Mere stupidity if you don't allow them.
-
Gratz.
Out of curiosity was bringing binds worth the space in the last round?
Yes, we managed to keep a few of the LDK members bound before they could hug some of the trees.
 wellllllll if they stayed in bounds, would it have been worth it? Since there's only a few places you could block the mage I was just wondering if it'd be smarter to just stock up on more food.
Since people need enough energy to run around to try and drag the opposition as far away as possible and stop getting hit by those who don't have run, if you can bind people saving your own run, you can then run yourself when you tank and drag them out of energy. Yea, was worth it :P

Gratz.

Clan Europe -vs- Lietuvos Didzioji Kunigaikstyste
Rabis, our warlord, went out to finally get a set of CWA fights against the new Lithuanian clan giant, LDK knowing it would be a new experience:
- Monday 24th | | 7:30GMT Start,
- Full Out & Matched Ops x2,
- All Styles | | Melee+Binds | | Fire Bolt ONLY,
- Classic | | Center Bounds,
- Ring Allowed,
- CE Team Cape 37,
- NO Corrupt Dragon/Dungeoneering,
- North Attacks and
- Post Allowed.
The first round was daunting since we knew we would probably get heavily outpulled however we were comforted by the fact there were 2 matched ops wars after we could compete in.
Round 1: Full Out
LDK Starting Ops: 264
CE Starting Ops: 111
Needless to say, we got demolished. Since we spawned North and got to attack, one of their members walked towards us away from LDK's DD so we decided to quickly pile him so LDK couldn't get a click. During this time, CE managed to keep kill 1:1 until LDK got rolling and started plundering us all.
LDK Ending Ops: 219
CE Ending Ops: 0
Epic tank. I had snipers on me throughout ...
Round 2: Matched Ops Melee+Binds
CE Starting Ops: 129
LDK Starting Ops: 129
We were determined to win round 2. We started off strong, Tesh tanking expertly a very strong lead which LDK managed to close however we extended the gap further with a few more quick kills and silky transitions from Rabis and our sniper unit sealed the deal.
CE Ending Ops: 78
LDK Ending Ops: 0
Round 3: Matched Ops Fire Bolt Only
CE Starting Ops: 90 (had 2 DCs, LDK dropped one - thanks, told them to keep the 2nd)
LDK Starting Ops: 93
With some adjusted rules to make sure this fight didn't drag on, we agreed on No Dhide/Leather, Fire Bolt (moved up from Strike) with binds allowed and No Overheads along with the other rules. This was surprisingly fun, LDK did use some of the trees and kept it kill for kill again but we weren't phased by this and we started to take down our targets faster and took a lead which we extended and kept.
CE Ending Ops: 51
LDK Ending Ops: 0
Very well done today CE, some solid performances all round, one of the better sets of fights we've had in quite a while!
Thanks also very much to LDK! All 3 rounds were challenging (especially round 1) and great fun, round 3 making a nice change from standard boring rules. Thanks again for all the fights, a very nice pull and good luck in the future.
Thanks;

Got piled but tanked LGZ off, I was a bit surprised that we won - however we performed very well. Good fight.

1. What was your overall opinion of the TICT tournament this year?
It was as good as it could have gone considering it was the first tournament held here, so there were bound to be mistakes/mishaps.
2. Would you like to see it run annually?
Of course.
3. What improvements would you like to see in terms of :
Categories offered - matched? full out? capped? (20 vs 20, 30 vs 30 etc)
F2P:
20v20
30v30
50v50
Full Out
P2P:
20v20
35v35
Full Out
Other:
20+20 v 20+20 (CHOOSE partner)
20+20 v 20+20 (RANDOM partner)
20v20 Matched Ranged Only (with limited gear)
20v20 Matched Mage Only (with limited gear)
Types of fights offered (ie style varieties, novelty, etc ?)
I think Melee+Binds is good standard but the option to fight with varied styles is nice. Although Melee+Binds will always favour the clan with the higher levels so you could always add a few different style fights. Like a 30v30 Melee+Binds+Ranged and a 30v30 All Styles.
4. Was the timing of rounds okay?
For the size, yes. More categories means more time. Stop giving extensions though, really, its so annoying when people go out of their way to get fights set up in time and maybe take a day or time they don't really want just to get it done, only for you to make an exception and extend the deadline further ...
5. What improvements could the Clan Staff make in the administration of the event?
Bit more proactive with it. Took ages for some of the posts to be made about the next round or the winners etc. Just get it done a bit quicker.
6. What rules could be changed, added or improved to make the tournament better?
Set out some house rules for everything OTHER than time and day - that way if theres a dispute, you can just say "house rules" and thats it.
7. What is your preferred way to get in touch with a Clan Staff member? IRC, MSN, forum posts/topics, forum PM, other?
IRC.
8. Do you have any additional suggestions on how we can improve the tournament?
I've made most comments above. I'll add anything else if I can think of any.
-
As far as I'm aware - KCR.
-
Gratz Poison, a solid starting.
Haven't heard of BI before, nice to see a new (?) smaller sized clan on the scene.
-
Dunno why this was posted.
Good luck LGZ regardless, should be fun.

Clan Europe -vs- Runescape Dinasty
About a week ago, Ahmet from RSD approached me for a war. Since we wanted a good prep, we also agreed for a few different rules to make the war a bit more interesting.
- Tuesday 11th | | 7:00GMT Start,
- 1hr 30m CWRI,
- All Styles,
- No Bounds | | Turrets,
- Ring Allowed,
- CE Team Cape 17,
- Corrupt Dragon Allowed,
- Rush on sight and
- Post Allowed.
We prepped up hard, we wanted a strong start since we knew our numbers would drop - therefore we made this war important and added an activity check. We had always fought RSD before in CWRIs and our numbers had never been up to scratch so we wanted to change that.
CE Starting Ops: 165
RSD Starting Ops: 111
With a large number advantage, we started strong and after a few minutes of getting into rhythm, we started to extend the gap to around 60 kills. Since there was a rule that if one clan got 100 kills over the other, the other must forfeit, we were trying to get this gap as big as possible especially since we knew what would happen later on. As expected, our numbers began to drop as people left for other events, our pile weakened and we lost some momentum as RSD closed the gap quickly. Luckily with a spurt of solid leading from Killalot, we were able to keep the gap big enough along with taking as much time keeping the fight north as possible and RSD were unable to catch up.
Solid performance at the start CE, it was enough to make such a lead that we kept a win out of RSD's reach.
CE Ending Kills: 306
RSD Ending Kills: 283
As always, thanks for the fight RSD and for accepting our war at the time you did - the numbers swaying from our advantage to yours definatly made things interesting and we thank you again for the clean and challenging war - maybe a bit more time on the clock and you would have won. Thanks nonetheless and good luck in future wars, I look forward to more with you.
Thanks;

Too low level; your opinion.

Posted
I know a few low levels who are good tanks (I'm talking 110ish combat) and they cope in the wars we have. Having said that, they are still low leveled.
It doesn't matter if you know everything about tanking because levels will always hold you back. Your prayer won't last as long, you'll be bit that extra bit harder and more constantly, less binds will splash and you don't have as much HP to tank through. At the end of the day, if your low level and your taking FIs, everyone on the opposition can take a click on you and you would be a gift of a pile providing that clan is even slightly competent itself.
As for the leading aspect, if your low leveled not only are you a fantastic enemy pile but snipers will love you as well so you'll always be under pressure especially when calling new piles. You'll be bound easily when going for a new pile etc and because you are low leveled your probably gonna get piled first so all that fantastic leading ability you have is wasted because the opposition is now piling you.
So you can be the best tank or the best leader in any clan there is but if you are a low combat level, you'll never be as good as someone of similar ability who is 126.
