  1. Now I am looking forward to next week, both for this update they mention and the fix to the shards \ I love Jagex for what they have done lately, sure a bit of bugs here and there, but I can see it making for a very promising future.
  2. I'm don't use a Mac either so all I can do is suggest Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 or Adobe After Effects having used both of them on a Windows OS. http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/ http://www.adobe.com/products/aftereffects/ Expensive though :(
  3. Oh I assumed you already had BF2 installed, sorry. Seems strange, hopefully it isn't a defect on the disk contents. Are you able to test it on any other computer by any chance? Just to check the disk does in fact work properly?
  4. You can also get a NoCD / NoDVD. So you could be using a 5-15mb file to replace the origional [Caution: Executable File] in the folder you installed it to, instead of an entire mounted/saved ISO of the disk which would be the same size as the initial install of the game. Only problems I would say for this method is - File safety (Might be infected) - Finding the correct one to work with your version of the game. - Legality issues.
  5. I recall having that problem in Battlefield 2, and all I did to fix it was re-install the game. I don't know if you have tried this yet already, but if not then it's worth a shot. Not like you will be loosing any saved data seeing as it saves online right? If you have tried it, and it still didn't work, then sorry I couldn't help more  ____ EDIT Done some more research quick, the problem shouldn't be with your audio drivers, but rather "BF2VoiceSetup[Caution: Executable File]" itself. I would try and put your disk back in, and explore until you find it. When found, run it, and follow the instructions, as that should then setup the VOIP again.
  6. I'm not entirely sure on the difference between the two, other that Java is a software platform from Sun Microsystems. (I would assume that they are both similar, only with Sun Java being the one needed if you were planning to develop with it) Going to www.java.com and downloading Java should work just fine (It did for me, and when HD came out I didn't have to download any extensions either) Sorry I couldn't be of any more assistance.
  7. If you want you can grab and edit out the border of my signature image. This is what I have been doing for months. ____ EDIT I figured I could help out a bit more to your cause rather than just saying "here use the crummy little piece from my signature if you wish" So I grabbed a bunch of random gear, and did a quick sweep around and took a few pictures for you (Most of them combat related) Taken at close to full screen resolution and with the highest settings I could muster, feel free to do what you wish with the 15 images; Remember to edit out any chat windows or inventory screens I left open  [hide=Click to view (CAUTION] [/hide] http://i491.photobucket.com/albums/rr277/ChristianAlder/Runescape/09-09-03-202956.jpg http://i491.photobucket.com/albums/rr277/ChristianAlder/Runescape/09-09-03-202444.jpg http://i491.photobucket.com/albums/rr277/ChristianAlder/Runescape/09-09-03-202445.jpg http://i491.photobucket.com/albums/rr277/ChristianAlder/Runescape/09-09-03-202511.jpg http://i491.photobucket.com/albums/rr277/ChristianAlder/Runescape/09-09-03-202512.jpg http://i491.photobucket.com/albums/rr277/ChristianAlder/Runescape/09-09-03-202710.jpg http://i491.photobucket.com/albums/rr277/ChristianAlder/Runescape/09-09-03-202738.jpg http://i491.photobucket.com/albums/rr277/ChristianAlder/Runescape/09-09-03-202740.jpg http://i491.photobucket.com/albums/rr277/ChristianAlder/Runescape/09-09-03-202747.jpg http://i491.photobucket.com/albums/rr277/ChristianAlder/Runescape/09-09-03-202749.jpg http://i491.photobucket.com/albums/rr277/ChristianAlder/Runescape/09-09-03-202753.jpg http://i491.photobucket.com/albums/rr277/ChristianAlder/Runescape/09-09-03-202830.jpg http://i491.photobucket.com/albums/rr277/ChristianAlder/Runescape/09-09-03-202911.jpg http://i491.photobucket.com/albums/rr277/ChristianAlder/Runescape/09-09-03-203153.jpg http://i491.photobucket.com/albums/rr277/ChristianAlder/Runescape/09-09-03-203157.jpg Best of luck to you on your web design project!
  8. How interesting, I personally always thought this was a myth (as did a few other members around these boards if I recall) A good read to be honest, I always like these Q&A posts :)
  9. Ahh, Perfect then! :D I guess now the only other argument against this resize process would be for the other person who mentioned that they have a quick enough internet to handle the load. However personally I would be fine with a setup such as that. Thanks Mil_Odedra Understood, well, I will aim to hit that 500px mark on my future uploads/image posts in that case. Thanks for your help. Really looking forward to the crossover to IPB now
  10. [Off-topic] Regarding stretching for other people, is there a certain size I should resize my images to? Only, I'm using a 22" monitor and the theme is fluid for me. I would assume 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768 would be a sensible figure to go for? [/Off-topic] I personally have never dabbled in the world of IPB, so I have no idea if it's possible. However, I was thinking, if there was a way we could have a setting to turn this automatic picture resizing on and off? (With it being turned on by default of course) I don't know whether or not the new themes will be fluid or fixed, but if it is fluid then having this option would benefit to those of us who use a large resolution, and don't want to click on every image to enlarge it (that would of initially fitted on our screen to begin with)
  11. God damn, is it just me or is this game really slow now? It feels so slugish, even on the login screen? And I can't even select the option for High Detail. Never mind, a quick reload of SwiftKit and its now working flawlessly.
  12. I am so happy I was online to see this (I have never been online when an update occurs) and now I have 3 in one go!
  13. That interface... is interesting. (will edit this post once I can use it) System in update in 6, This is fun =P~
  14. Wow this sounds so great! The features you mentioned should make this a much more pleasant environment (for me anyway) And by the sounds of it should also boost its presence on the web, what with the Web 2.0 feel and the improved SEO (with those "friendly URLS") Looking forward to see it up and running, good luck on the crossover.
  15. I'm not going to get into this debate about how certain games take more skill than others, however I will share my reasoning for playing Runescape. I personally love the fact that it takes little skill in this game (well for the most part of it anyway) It's this "lack" of skill in the game that suites well for me and my life style. I can watch a movie, read a book, post in this thread, or even do something useful like my A2 Geography assignment. All while playing runescape, happily fishing away. This game is perfect for me, and whenever I want to do something more with it, I can. I can go questing, I can meet friends, I can spend the money I earned from fishing to buy gear and go raise my slayer levels. Obviously I appreciate not everyone is able operate the same way I do when it comes to Runescape, I mean, I am only able to play this way efficiently because of my rather large monitor/resolution. So, I have thought about it, and yes, Runescape doesn't have the skill other games have, such as say, COD, or whatever game you want to name. However, if I think about it a bit more, I am probably learning more than you anyway. Based on your first post (and may I say, a poor one at that) When you play 2 hours of COD, and I play my 2 hours of Runescape, I could have ended up with some grade A work, while you would of what? wasted some time? You see, It's because of this "lack" of skill in the game that I am able to focus more on other "important" things. For the record, a game shouldn't be measured on how much skill is involved, but rather on how much enjoyment it gives you. You've made it clear that you're a skill junkie, so please, go play your COD, just don't bother preaching to us with your "wake up and see it".
  16. Thanks both of you for your responses. I will definitely try to get back to them every day then, and will try out the 2 week system for a while and see how it suits me. I'm guessing if I have a set time to do everything at, that would make the process better right? I don't know how many hours is in between the approval points but getting to it at like 1am every day should work out perfect for my current life style. Thank you :)
  17. Well I have just come back to the game after a short pause (1 month) because I didn't have any desire to play all that much. But, I am now back into game and fishing monks yet again (I think I am going for 99...) I want to maximise on earning money as much as possible, and that to me means doing a few side activities, such as herb runs every 12 hours, and MTK every ??? What I am asking, is what is the best strategy to do MTK? I am comfortable having 3/4 on raw fish while the other 1/4 on trees (I enjoy the luck factor behind seeds and how much I could sell them for) But what I don't know is when I should be collecting, boosting up approval rating, etc. Should I collect every week? fortnight? month? Should I boost up approval ratings every day? Every other day? Every week? I've tried numerous strategies in the past, but none of them worked because I was either too lazy or pre-occupied. Which is why I am asking here for suggestions on the matter. Thanks in advance, and sorry for the "essay" length style of writing.
  18. That is really creative! And if I dare say so, inspiring. It's nice to see people link Runescape and real life together, especially when you have such a skill behind crafting and forging. If you make another costume for such an occasion I do hope you will post pictures of it :D Great work magepalko.
