  1. The problem with this argument becomes more evident as the situation becomes more extreme. Imagine there was an instantly respawning cash pile somewhere you could spam click to get 1M each time. You'd be right to say "There won't be a problem guys, as long as no one ever uses it." but you can't expect people to ignore it when someone could get an absurd amount of money more than them in the same time as whatever they're doing and they have an opportunity to get in on that same money. Clearly the responsibility falls on Jagex to remove the destructive money-making method as an option.
  2. I'm sorry that is just an absurd argument. RWT and 76king may both be considered "Dishonorable", but 76king doesn't even break any of jagex's rules, RWT always was against the rules and supported credit card fraud. Additionally, RWT cheapened the value of the game by making your real world status in life a factor in your success in a virtual world. No one really has a legitimate excuse for not 76king to earn their money.
  3. Geez, that's quite a negative attitude. Why bother raising any moneymaking skills if someone can just get a 3a item from a treasure trail and laugh at your efforts? The point is you at least want to improve your chances. You're playing the wrong game if you mind luck. Anyways, Runescape is a basically a game about accomplishment, and 99 capes are the easiest way to show it off. I may not have liked the entire getting 99 str process, but I enjoy every "nice str" I hear. However, I don't see myself getting a 99 with no tangible benefit.
  4. This update kind of bothers me. Now it's essentially a requirement for all accounts that want to viably participate in pvp to raise herblore, a noncombat skill. Runescape has always had a large if not total degree of separation of combat and noncombat skills and it's really weird for them to suddenly change that policy without any kind of notice. Firemaking for the hand cannon, and now this? What's next, super powered weapons you can't have unless you make them with fletching / smithing? Devastating spells only from untradeable tabs made with high RC and Construction? I think if they're going to make high skills a requirement for combat, they need to address the combat level system and the necessity of multiple accounts for pvp.
