  1. I did the entire thing with polearm, and in retrospect, melee is the worst way to go. I'd go with staff, I think.
  2. Finished quest, pretty good. Confusing boss mechanics, though.
  3. I think whatever few concepts for invention hasn't already been given out in TH should be incorporated into construction/crafting/smithing with divination as a secondary requirement.
  4. Found some post-quest dialogue from Azzanadra if the player chose to sabotage Zaros: First thought: Whoooh! I'm glad I supported him! Second thought: this could indicate that Zaros won't ultimately die, seeing as that would most likely grant a percentage of the players a boss-fight that would make Nomad seem like a goblin...
  5. Finally got the skills for this! Scoundrels of the sea, beware of H.M.S. Scournful Strumpet and H.M.S. Salty Wench!
  6. To me, that's about just how a quest should be - a bit of a puzzle, a bit of exploring, a few medium/hard combat encounters, all bound together by lore.
  7. Nah, it gives 4% crit across all stats, while fury gives 4,2%. It gives way better pray bonus, though, and boosts Dragonbreath ability damage and increases exp for burying dragon bones.
  8. Changed it for some prayer pots, managed the entire thing! Wasn't as hard as I feared. Although I didn't lure the healers far enough away from Jad for the first 60k+ lp...
  9. This seems to be my final setup. If this stands uncorrected in a few minutes, I will go for it. Wish me luck. EDIT: Almost forgot my runes...
  10. Thanks for the heads-up on prayer. Given the difference in armor rating between gano and obsidian, it seems like gano gives the overall best chance of success (I didn't do the math on block chance/damage reduction). EDIT: I think I will also go for some prayer renewal rather than prayer potions.
  11. After watching a few videos, I'm leaning towards changing back to normal prayers for augury. Still debating whether I should go for the defense of gano or damage reduction of obsidian armor.
  12. I have read that quite a few people are doing the fight caves without food at all, and pray only at Jad. As a first-timer, should I also pray against the Ket-Zeks/Tok-Xils?
  13. Just to clarify: I am doing fight CAVES, not the Kiln.
  14. Hello! I have finally decided to give Fight Caves a go, and I need some final advice regarding my setup. Below are my inventory, skills and equipment. I am on curses, I am on the special slayer task, and I am using ice blitz. Should I bring equipment for a secondary style?Should I switch out some sharks for a super magic potion or two?Should I use robes of subjugation instead of obsidian?Should I rely less on food, more on prayer?Should I make any changes to my ability bar?Any advice will be appreciated!
  15. I wonder if they'll update our POHs with the God Emissaries. In our chapel we can only choose between Saradomin, Zamorak ... Guthix, and Bob!
  16. [hide]Yeah, follow the burnt grass. You can actually hide in the tall grass, too - just make sure it's examinable before you try hiding in it. I just keep getting roasted half-a-second after leaving cover for some reason. I'll try again later.[/hide]
  17. It isn't that hard, go to world 100 and follow someone.
  18. [hide]The new gear/spells I've found thus far is the three boots, Akrisae's barrows set, ARMADYL BATTLESTAFF!, Storm of Armadyl spell, Armadyl rune, bane equipment etc. [/hide] SWEET!
  19. I think the theoretical maximum would be to have insane amounts of cash and spam-build steel dragons in treasure room. Totally not worth it.
  20. Gorak Plane is a separate plane also?
  21. Have you tried, oh I don't know, READING THE ARTICLE? "Memories from his detention at Jixi re-education-through-labour camp ..." Seriously, are you saying that I haven't read the article? [spoiler=A previous post of mine] What on earth is your basis of even implying that I haven't read the article? Your logic is flawed on every level at this point. OT: Blyaunte is clearly a troll, I will not spend more time on this.
  22. [hide] Oh yay! A new "angle". Shall we argue about your definition of "camp" now? Or shall we merely agree to disagree that this is something "lost in translation" as related from the original source? You never answered my question. I am curious. (S)he doesn't respond to a lot of arguments because there is no valid response besides his or her usual "read the article", which was used against him or her at the beginning because of the shear ignorance of his or her posts. I still don't comprehend where you got the notion people work 24/7. They'd die within the week if they did. I'm going to eat lunch now and I'd love to see where this argument goes. I get the feeling you're either a really bad troll or someone with a dying point that cannot be supported by the proper facts in the article. I'm hoping the former, however. [/hide]Yes, I'm curious to see how this goes. Also, if the 24/7 comment was pointed at me (which I don't really think, I just want to cover it), I haven't once said nor will say that they definately worked 24/7, my point is that goldfarming was an addition to physical labor, and that they no doubt had little sleep.
