  1. Cable setup has changed - we have some work being done around the house, so we needed some free contact points for quite heavy electrical tools. Also, I've gotten back everything but Karil's top by now.
  2. Hi, I was just killing Bork. Partially in the hopes of getting an elite clue scroll. And behold, I did! I picked up my charms, coins and gems and finally the clue scroll. I was really happy, maybe I could get my hands on one of those ornament sets? I danced a little dance of joy, and WHAM! Power's out... Turns out, my sister had tried to plug yet another electrical device into the already heavily populated extension cord. As a result, the security fuse blew it. Ok, not to worry, I thought. I will probably spawn in the same cave I left, and if all else goes bad, I have a six-minute gravestone. I fixed the fuse, but on the way back, my sister tried to plug that cord in AGAIN. Same result. Finding a second replacement fuse took some time, so when I logged back on, I found myself in Nomad's Camp, my inventory filled with a fury, my whip and Soul Wars cape. With 17 seconds left on my timer. Turns out, when you lag out like that, you are instantly kicked from the instanced Bork's cave, and straight into the pile of Dagganoths waiting outside. My health was already at mid (as I usually top off my health with cheaper food in safer locations), so the multicombat rangers must have piled me down in a matter of seconds. Losses: Helm of Netiznot Karil's top Karil's skirt Dragon boots Barrows gloves Explorer's ring 3 (not much, but somewhat a hassle to get back) Dragon dagger(++) My one and only rune defender The clue scroll Bork's usual droppings Total loss of 6,4M, as well as the defender and clue scroll. Due to electric breakdown. MEH!
  3. Maybe cat=catalytic runes? I most certainly hope not! Cat staff + Tome of Frost = unlimited Ice Barrage...
  4. I think this will be a VERY image-heavy guide, for sure. Are we now to post the theoretically best setups, or setups that work? If so, subjectivity and various degrees of wealth and accomplishment will lead to an overwhelming amount of setups needed. Will provide images of slayer outfit (normal), a slayer outfit (high-hitting monsters), and a slayer outfit (prayer) tomorrow. Too tired now.
  5. That would be YkLagor the Thunderous, he (it?) is featured in August's BTS.
  6. I have not checked normal gatestone, but I can say for certain (as of now) that the GROUP gatestone can still be used for this purpose.
  7. *Shivers* I'm guessing they will make their comeback in WGS2 :ohnoes: Do want :D As do I.
  8. Haven't fidured out how to beat the Wicked Witch (well, not really) at the end. Any vital clues I am missing out on? "Use ranged if you want to live," for instance?
  9. Yes. This is actually quite epic. I recognize much of what's been written here, and it's great to realize that you are dreaming, only to be able to manipulate EVERYTHING later on. Too bad they don't last. I remember having low gravity in my neighborhood as a particularly fun moment :P
  10. That looks epic. I've come to enjoy Dungeoneering more and more as I play it, this might just be my favourite skill so far! I've never been too into power-levelling, and I am quite a DIY-kind of person, so equipping yourself and taking on challenges is quite perfect!
  11. Yep, brews are now "useless" for soloing, I guess they're good for boss monsters that hit slowly over a longer fight as you're getting more space for them. However if you're in danger of getting killed and need to heal quicker, you're better with sharks. And now I just realised that Nomad still exists for me... That'll be fun without Brews in their old state... Aaah, sweet relief... Hint: check avatar and sig. He would've been hell without sharkbrewing.
  12. Well, if this was to happen ever; gf, dragon claws. You are now outclassed by the double dragon dagger. With poison, it's a friggin' ddds! Assuming linear addition, it would have a strength and stab attack of 80. Comparison: whip has 82 slash attack and strength. This means that your special, which would take 25%, would be like four whip-hits near-instantly. Do I hear knock-out? On topic: I agree, it is strange that the bow is held that way. It makes no sense to me, maybe it is to cut amount of idle animations in half?
  13. I would like to point out that The Blood Pact is not necessarily the shortest quest. Doric's Quest - if the player is already prepared with necessary items in inventory - can be completed in 10ish SECONDS.
  14. Meh, I don't like these. If their attack range was any shorter than friggin' EPIC! it would have been better. Now you walk around and smell the flowers, suddenly, you are frozen and teleblocked! You keep taking damage, but see no enemy! Then, finally, the slow-[wagon] revenant knight finds it convenient to reveal himself. In the distance. While you try to fight back. With the knife you brought for webs, for you have no distance weapons. By the time he gets within 10 feet, you would greet Zimberfizz once again... ANNOYING!
  15. Hi! I'm new here. I really enjoy these forums, and I hope I can contribute to it. My current RS goals are to get a slayer helm and a dragon platebody. For now.
  16. I believe the best way would be to fill the coal bag, take 7 runite ore, rest coal and fire away?
  17. A short little addition to the route (not even an addition, just a two second stop between points). When you find yourself running towards the rune stall on Ape Atoll, why not buy a dragon scimitar? It is right next to the rune stall, and not a day goes by without a bunch of people at GE buying them for 115k. 15k profit, yay! Also, instead of chartering back to Port Sarim, use Explorer's ring, check herbs, runes, feathers, void knights and bush. Same speed (if not quicker) and no spending 700 gp. Small, but mentionworthy. EDIT: Where's my manners... THANK YOU VERY MUCH! This thread is brilliant, and has so far earned me an amulet of fury, and soon a dragon platebody!
  18. Hi there, I want to become a Master white knight, and I'm wondering whether I should kill normal black knights or elite black knights? My combat stats are: 81 Attack, strength, defence 80 Magic, range 83 Constitution 71 Prayer What should I do to kill them as fast as possible?
  19. I am doing the quest now, and have been through all the dialogue options. He says that he needs the power to be able to face his former employer, as he will likely stop sending his minions and instead deal with him face-to-face. He also says that we should've figured out who this former employer is by now. Seeing as Elite Dark Warriors/Rangers/Mages are involved with Lucien, I think that Nomad might have been preparing to face this Mahjarrat menace. As a result, maybe the throne will be used by us in an effort to stop Lucien? Off-topic: in the fight, is it worth the two lost brews by bringing melee armor for his berserker state?
