It's a victory compared to how it could of gone, but it wasn't a victory literally speaking. I say it wasn't a complete failiure and that now the enemy have lost quite a few of their troops, and their defense are weak, I also have navy ships to combat any reinforcements, and have more on the way. They will crack next turn, my general knows this, his troops know it, the enemy are just saying their final prayers before I regroup and kill them. Also Retech are you using Medieval total war, or an equivilent system?

Firstly, I didn't think they'd have a castle, just a settlement, it's a tiny nation I'm invading here. Secondaly, trebuchet were more offensive than defensive, I didn't really anticipate them using defensive trebuchet. Thirdly, that wasn't even half of my invading force killed. Fourthly, the whole sending peasents into the meatgrinder, well that is true, I do use them on the sole purpose to set traps off and crap, but they're peasents, and it is a common tactic for a general to throw in troops that are of low quality to get the enemy to come out or show their weapons. 'Twas only a thousand, and who cares about their morale when they're dead, my other troops know full well what they were going to be used for but the basic peasent doesn't. Fifthly, compared to my previous assault, this was a victory.

I didn't get slaughtered, they lost 2800 men and I lost 3000, 1000 of them being peasents and 2000 of them being basically trained swordsmen that didn't cost much They lost a lot of their defense, and have left themselves open for another attack, infact I saw I did okay.

Meh 12 million budget. Also why didn't the general use the catapults... Only the trebucheats got destroyed, oh well, it wasn't a total eff up this time XD. I'll begin plans for the next attack.
