  1. Glory can be used to teleport to Edgeville, so you can sell your items easier - but on the gloves front, I think it is to keep down the cost. If you have barrows gloves and a fury, use them. The point is, sets aren't concrete - you should mix and match until you find a setup that feels right for you.
  2. [Noob Post] Erm, where can one find the Ivy? I've heard wonders about it and I'm interested :D [/Noob Post]
  3. Aviansies can be found in the God Wars Dungeon; The entrance can be found by pushing aside a boulder with your strength skill, or crawling through a crack with your agility skill - the entrance is near Trollheim, just walk around the outside ring with protect from range on and you'll find it - you'll need a rope if it's your first time too. For your inventory, you should take bones to peaches tablets, some food (and a rope, if it's your first time.) You'll also need to change up your armour a bit; I'm not sure on the recommended build - but you want to be a tank, so torag's legs and helm are a good idea. Remember, you can only attack Aviansies with ranged or magic attacks. One last thing, if you're going into the God Wars Dungeon, you may want to equip an item that represents the gods Bandos, Armadyl, Saradomin and Zamorak in order for the dungeon to be non-aggressive.
  4. Well, to be honest it's usually just a lie by person A to make person B think higher of person A. I once had a friend who claimed to be Casserole; when she was #4 overall.
  5. Ah, I rarely skim over the RSOF; so that'd probably be why I haven't been to any.

  7. correction in bold :P I'm sorry, I [Linux Key] F'd this page (find) and the only results it brought up for the words 'incredible' and 'massive' were from your post and xgreenenvyx's post, quoting yours.

I was going with neitiznot helm because of the nice prayer and defence bonuses; I started out with roughly 2.5m (I know it isn't great but what the hell, I'm absolutely cookie at making money) - after buying my gear setup, I have around 870k left for the inventory - I can use a crystal bow but I do not know my current recharge cost. Thanks for the help!
  9. I seem to remember seeing in somebody's post on these forums earlier that Mod MMG said "As long as I'm around, there will be no sailing skill." or something along those lines.
  10. I second this notion! Once you reach 100 incorrect words, you are kidnapped by the school teacher and forced to type them all correctly. You should be able to fight that scary red dragon as a boss :3 Lewt: Edexcel maths GCSE 5.2 Textbook - sell value: -50gp
  11. Right, I plan on taking on Jad again this week, it would be nice for somebody to look over my setup and give me any pointers. Equipment Helm: Helm of Neitiznot (e) Chest: Black dragon-hide Body Legs: Verac's plate-skirt Boots: White boots Gloves: Barrows (Recipe for disaster) gloves, Also known as Gloves Main-hand: Rune crossbow Off-hand: Holy book Ring: Explorer's ring 2 Ammo: Broad-tipped bolts (x2500) Neck: Amulet of glory Inventory this needs working on, any help would be very nice - I know super restore and saradomin brew potions are needed, but I'm not sure of the quantity. depending on the amount of remaining money, I may charge a crystal bow and/or buy some purple sweets. Stats Ranged: 80 Defense: 76 Hit-points: 81 Prayer: 60 Thank you for your help; I love how friendly the Tip-it community is! :D
  12. I'm sure plenty of people have said this in the past, but even so; each one of us was at a point where we had that set of levels, albeit not exactly the same. The point is the steadily growing experience value going hand in hand with play time - I have played over 200 days on runescape, yet my skills aren't too brilliant; because I prefer to spend my time socializing. Different people prefer to do different things on the game - in my opinion that's what makes runescape so great; you can do what you want, when you want. To be insulted because you prefer doing something different to the majority just doesn't seem right.
  13. Ever looked at somebody's chat message and thought 'that just doesn't make sense..'? I'm going to make a list of some words/phrases I've seen and explain how it doesn't work; if you find one you'd like to add, put it in a message at the bottom, and I'll add it to the OP when I get the chance. Noob Either this is a fall-back insult, meaning you have nothing else to use - or you are insulting somebody due to the levels in skills they have achieved, which means that you are effectively saying you are superior due to the amount of time you have input to the game. Go home One I've seen a lot in my clan chat and wandering around the game world; how can one go home when they are speaking over a computer, most probably from the comfort of their bedroom/study or anywhere inside their home? Poor for my level Implies that at each combat level, everybody should have a set average amount of money, I know plenty of people who train combat stats and not income skills - I can see an element of truth in this, however, as while you advance in the game, you are sure to get some rare drops every now and then. I still see this as a simply invalid phrase to use, especially when making excuses as to why one could not afford an item.
  14. to the poster on page 1 saying Jagex will not get any more money if everybody went Free Play; I think Jagex actually get more money from the adverts displayed on the free play servers than they do from a player who is paying for member status. In removing the adverts as an incentive for people to pay for member status, they are actually lowering their potential profit - advertising is a huge business.
  15. how do you mean Stonewall, could you please give a reason for your negativity? Maybe then we can find a solution to patch up the problem you may have found! :D
  16. Okay, I play both Runescape and World of Warcraft; one feature I found on World of Warcraft and many other MMO games is a mail system. In WoW, each major city and many small villages have mailboxes where you can send mail to anybody you may want to; after a short processing period, they receive a little icon on their minimap indicating that they should check their mailbox - they will then be able to read your message. I think something similar to this would have a great positive impact on runescape as you can send these messages when a person is offline, and they will be able to read it when they come back on. Ever had an old friend who you haven't seen for a while and want to find out how they are doing? You can just send them a mail and they can reply when they next log on. Another aspect is to send items - if this was implemented, I think it would only be fair to have each player's trade limit changed when items are sent/received just like a regular trade. There will evidently be plenty of both positive and negative support, and if you have any problems/suggestions, please don't hesitate to post - but remember, constructive criticism please!
  17. I'm the same as Rachellove; are these just forum threads where you ask questions hoping for a JMod to respond, or is it a live chat/ingame event or something?
