I'm going to be going home for a few weeks this holiday season, as I had not gone home last time we had a break (boarding school). While I am born Jewish I have never felt that the true essence of our region is the sacrificial [cabbage] and all that, more so the lessons taught and learned. So yes, I will be celebrating this holiday in one respect with my family, but I will not be thinking of the Maccabees or anything of the sort, just the moral of the tale. The holiday season is a wonderful time and I urge everyone to enjoy it regardless of their born religion. -- Korczak
