  1. Thanks much for the attempt, but that is the kid handing out Al Kharid fliers(I did check to be sure). This is a guy in a white suit I am sure of it. Im not sure if he is a random spawn but I dont think so? Does anyone know what I am talking about ? Again, thank you so much for taking the time to post a picture, that really is beyond the call, and the fact that it is another dude handing out fliers, shouldn't detract from the act, so much thanks again. -G.
  2. Alright I am working on 'A Giant Dwarf', or 'the Giant Dwarf', and I am stuk on the part where I have to retrieve the 4 seeds. I have the one, of course, but I was given the task of retrieving a 'Flier to Bobs Axes' in lumby, and I know I have seen the guy that hands them out? I just spent two hours killing barbarians, but alas, so I want to find the guy that gives em out. He wears a white suit I am pretty sure, and is in Lumby or Al Kharid IIRC. In the meantime I will keep searching but thought it might be prudent to ask for help. Thanks for taking the time. -G.
  3. I have been lurking in Lady Hyts chat for a couple of weeks, and I can honestly say, the rules posted here are a joke. If you are one of the handful of chatters that blab on non stop (24/7 seemingly)on that channel, you can do whatever it is you like. Not too mention, they rarely help when people ask questions, instead they get flamed, and called a troll, its a sad CC, that is why I am here looking for another CC, a better one, but alas, thats it, a CC filled with what appears to be kids from Highschool. No thanks, Ive seen/read enough. There are a handful of nice people and a whole bunch of immature idiots, I guess thats the game, lol. If you have a CC filled with mature people, who arent concerned with what they are wearing to church, or the mark they got on their science exam, PM me. -G.
  4. Well arent you a hero. What an arrogant comment, must make you feel special inside to be so perfect. Theres no map in the dungeon, so if you've never been in it, its quite natural to get confused ? Thanks for all the posts everyone, when it was first released I imagine it was a beast of a quest. It wasn't easy, it just wasn't as hard as I had built it up to be, in my mind, I guess. Thanks again, -G
  5. Well I made it. Was actually pretty straight forward. Bit of a moment at the beginning as I got my prayers sorted, but after that it was smooth sailing. I have to say prayer is just HUGE,it is what makes things relatively easy. Thanks for the posts, but I guess it must have been over at the Official forums I saw that post regarding the most difficult quests, I can see the quest giving some people fits. People that haven't figured out prayer.

You are a talented writer. Most would not wear their hearts on their sleeves, in quite such a brash , yet very sensitivemanner. It doesn't surprise me that you are a Canadian, as I am. You have the means to be a great writer if you work at it more, a couple of things, well.... I would try not to always go for the 'obvious' choice in the ryhme. It becomes boring for the reader, when you can always guess the next line. Sometimes better to forgo the occasional rhyme and interrupt the meter, to add mystery and more substance. New words will also take your thought process places it wouldn't have been going otherwise, thus opening more avenues for exploration. If you don't have, get a thesaurus, and a rhyming dictionary. That is basically it. Keep at it, poetry is something many have a knack for, but so few will take the time to explore. When I was younger i wrote incessantly, not so much these days, but I am old and boring now. Keep up the great work. Oh btw I live in B.C. in the Okanagan .
  7. Thanks for replies. Okay, I can see that, people naturally tend to exagerate, should be no different in this game I guess. I do wonder, is there anyone who solved the quest completely unassisted, well we'll say the built in hints system is allowed ? Anyone a hard core quester ? How did they find MM ? -G. PS: I am using the first tier white armor, name escapes me atm, and a rune mace, and rune shield with appropriate pots, lobsters, and a few rocktail. Stuff I wouldn't be devastated to lose.
  8. Not yet, but I may in the future, I am noob yet. I did read Devnulls at the 'official forum'. -G
  9. Well I am on the last leg of MM. I got my greegree, I just have too rescue the monkey in the zoo etc, etc, and then fight the demon. Minor  (I know, LOL)!!! But I do feel like I am over the 'hump' as it were. What a run, first time I ran the dungeon, I got confused about halfway through and ran back to the beginning(almost), before I realized my mistake, made it to Zoolnock with 2 pieces of food, and on my last sip of all my pots, energy spent ways back, but I made it. Second time through things went much more smoothly. I only ended up consuming 2 'rocktails', and the second I don't really think I needed, but figured what the heck! So my point in all this ? I have read a few threads here and there, hardest quest 'type' threads, and MM seems to get mentioned often as one of the hardest quests? I dont get it, so far for me, it has been a survival game, which is fairly easy, if prepared. I guess I am pretty confident of beating the demon, if it takes two attempts, such is life, but it still wouldn't make me see this quest as having been overly difficult. It is long, and too have figured it out all by yourself, would have been MUCH harder, much much harder. I am using the walk-through to help me out, I use it as little as possible, and I still made out alright in Ape Atol. I have had a blast doing Monkey Madness, I really like the quests in RS, sure some involve a lot of 'FedEx' but, that's questing some times, in any game. The stories are funny, and I am just having a lot of fun questing these past few days. I have been on a quest mission as opposed to more training for the past week I guess. Getting lots(well I guess that is subjective) of em done. So what am I getting at ? I guess I am curious as too other players remembrances,be they good or bad, of their first time through the Monkey Madness quest, and subsequently the runs through the Dungeon there(Miram IIRC), and how they felt when they finally got to heft that Dragon Scimitar afterwards ? Much thanks for your time, -Grais. PS: just for interest sake, I am at 83 CL. Magic is 49 atm, ranged is 51, and I think I will range demon.
  10. Cool thanks for the replies. That(what was said in replies) is basically what I gathered in game, I just wanted to be sure I had it straight. Now I can stop searching for the 'Clan NPC'....lol. Thanks again, -G.
  11. Okay I just have a couple questions concerning clans. Now the first online game I played was 'Guildwars', and the 'Guilds' were simple to form, next was Wow, and again, pretty simple to form a guild. Now I come to Runescape, and we have Clans, easy enough to understand, but how is one formed. Is a clan simply the formation of a clan chat channel, and all who are regulars in the channel, are the members of the clan ? Or do you go to a NPC somewhere in the RS universe and say I want to start a clan ? This is where my confusion stems from. Appreciate any help offered. Thanks, Grais.
  12. Holy quote boxes Batman, you guys are gonna crash Tips forum..lol. I knew when I made the post it would likely be controversial, but at least here at Tip, people argue, rather than just mindlessly ranting at one another. The same post got 0 replies at Jagex, was gone from the first page within 20 minutes, I bumped iust once, and forget it. All they care about is rants over there, which can be quite entertaining themselves(the rantas), but rarely constructive -G.
  13. Hey sorry 'bout the typo  Doi. Thanks for all the replies. Its not that I think they need to re do the UI, but three small hot keys, say prayers, or spells only. I can see where people come from with the 'games getting too easy' rhetoric, Isn't that usually the case, I checked out RS 5-6 years ago(tbh I think it may have been even more), and have popped in ever since discovering it, every once in a while, but only recently did it hook me. Do you think that was the game has gotten easier, or perhaps the game has just gotten easier to play. Easier to have fun at. Is that such a crime. Sure the guys who are truly skilled clickers, and I'm not making fun, they mastered the game, in a bit of a crude state one might suggest, so it is only natural they feel short changed when they see that kid get a 99 with relative ease, and new Ui implemented to make it easier yet. But maybe it would mean Mages would get some much deserved love. Anyhow , thanks. -G.
  14. Hey, I was wondering why RS doesn't offer us a few more options along the lines of the UI. As in a few customizable hot keys. They could be set to whatever you desire, magic, prayers, whatever you like. I know players don't want RS to become a clone of similar MMORPG, but a little more elaborate UI would do wonders for the game. So is there a reason the UI is so seemingly simple. I cannot imagine Maging in high level combat, PvP or otherwise. What do you all think ? -Grais.
  15. Problem solved, thank you. Seems I just forgot to return to him. -G
  16. Maybe that is it. Will try. Thanks. -G.
  17. K, I cannot mix the potion required for this quest, I mix the guam with the water, and then go to mix the jangerberries with the Guam potion(unf) and it says, '......mmmm perhaps I shouldn't mix these together, the results might be unpredictable'. I dont understand, I have the herblore level, lvl.14 is required, I have 15 atm. The game suggested I do the quest when I selected it out of some 'random objectives'. I'm perplexed. Any ideas ? -G
  18. Hey no worries on trying to make me feel inferior....lol. <_< I am sure this thread may help another some day, so its all good. One thing I find about questing is it forces you too train skills you might otherwise not. Got the spirit killed, and yes I am sure I could have accomplished it around 30 levels ago, but alas, just became member, so it is a moot point, but after killing Spirit I discovered I needed 31 crafting to craft the staff! So it was off to the GE to buy leather, I usually like to DIY, but in some cases like this Ill just buy the levels. Quickly got my crafting up to 33(used up all the leather I bought)and completed quest. Bonus. -Grais.
  19. Well I just slayed the lost spirit(?). It was a very easy fight, could have accomplished it long ago. Went full mage. Got several hits in the 100-120 range, or more using the lvl 41 Wind Blast,so the fight did not last long, I took less then 40 pts damage. Thanks. -G.
  20. Thanks Sir, I will be sure top check it out. I have been lurking in the Lady Heinous CC, seems alright. But it seems like everyone knows each other, which isn't always a bad thing, but can make it tough to 'break' into the conversation for newcomers. Don't take this as as undue critique, It is not meant that way, I have not spent enough time to have any business offering any sort of critical review just a nubs observation. I will check this one out later Sirs, thanks for sharing. -Grais.
  21. Awesome. Just what I was hoping I would hear. I thought I probably could I see enough people running around with Dragon Stuff, and they are not that high a level. As for why I haven't done it yet, I have only been a member for a little under two weeks, and I am just getting used to a much bigger world. There are a lot of things you need to take care of if you want to be a success in this game, one of the first for me upon becoming a member, was to find a way of making a sizable wad of cash in a short time, preferably while training the combat trio, at a high rate of speed. Having taken care of that, Chaos Druid, Flesh Crawlers, et al....(I am surely open to any PM's of good spots to train and earn at the same time, we could compare notes), so upon gettinng some cash together, an ongoing project for sure, I turn to quests, and Lost City was one of the first on the must do list. Thanks again, for all the replies gang, do have a great week. Laters, -Grais.
  22. Well I am 72 CLvl. The combat trio are all at or over 60, I have mid forties for ranged and Magic. Do you all think I might have what it takes to compete the Lost City quest. If I could take food I would have tried it all ready, but not. I have read that it is possible to range or Mage the last beast, so that is what I was thinking of. Suggestions, recommendations ? Should I work my combat stats up to 70 first ? Thanks Tippers. -G.
  23. Thanks again for the replies. Not too worry Schmual( name reminds me of the Boy in the Striped Pajamas, 'Schmuel' is the little boys name, really just a great film), I am questing like mad as well. I try every day to at least work on quests fro an hour or so, so maybe not quite like mad, but I can see their importance, they open up the game, make a lot of content accessible and generally are a key to having fun, and gaining a deeper understanding of the 'game' of Runescape. Thanks again, I hope one day I am able to return the favor. Have a great weekend. -Grais.
  24. Hey Thanks Linkz, I should have mentioned I am in Rune at the moment, I guess it is obviously the only choice for the time being. I do like the looks of black DHide, but wont be wearing that for some time. Thanks again. -Grais.
  25. Well I recently went P2P, and am amazed at the variety of armor I see prancing around me at the GE. I am at a loss though, any stores I have checked out are just the same as before, selling plate and chain, so where do you get some of these nice and different armors from ? Questing ? Mini games ? I turned level 72 last night, working my combat stats up to 60 each at the moment, then Ill skill a bit, and then work the stats up to 70. Suggestions for armor, Ive been earning good coin lately got 3.5 mil in the bank at the moment, and can, if I work at it, make a million a day, maybe a bit less if it is real busy. Thanks for any and all recommendations. -Grais.
