  1. OMG Thank you SOOOO much. I just got this new puzzle and I have a real hard time with them unless I know what they are supposed to look like. This allowed me to get it done in about 45 seconds. Thanks again :D
  2. While I was whacking away at an Elder Evil Tree, I noticed that the exp I was getting was different from what the guide says. The guide says you get 85xp for chopping the tree but I was getting 78/77. I'd get 77 once, followed by 78 four times (I guess that would make it 77.8 exp per). Anyway, I got lucky with my screen capture and caught the 77 followed by one of the 78s. Edit: Hmm...the image should've been larger. Ok...I cropped just the exp counter, that should do it :) Edit 2: Doing an Evil Yew now and the exp for chopping roots was 12 once, 13 four times
  3. Thanks everyone. I've sorted it out now :) This Dungeoneering skill can get awfully confusing. Thanks for all the replies and help :D
  4. I hope I get an answer quickly since I'm sitting outside the dungeon right now unsure if I should continue. Anyway...I've read up on using the 'Reset' on the ring but I'm still a little lost. I was level 36 Dungeoneering (floor 18 max) and I completed floor 18. I got the message that my level was insufficient to go to the next floor so I stopped and exited the dungeon. I then ran around and opened all the resource dungeons I could and got my level up to 39 (floor 20 max). I did NOT click reset yet, figuring I would just go do floor 19 now. Now I am standing outside the dungeon and when I click to start a dungeon it only goes up to 18 (even though I 'unlocked' level 19). It seems as if I need to redo floor 18. If I do this... 1. does my 'progress/prestige' reset to 0? 2. should I click 'reset'? 3. if I do click 'reset' do I have to go through all 18 floors again before my prestige will start to increase again? HELP!!!!!! =(
  5. Hey all. Not sure if this is something that should or could be added to the skill guide for dungeoneering, or as a 'tip/trick' but here it is just in case. I had an incident happen to me where I entered a "Guardian" Puzzle room (where you need construction to 'repair' the guardian so it'll open doors). I entered the room, took one of the stones and when I tried to carve it (into a head), the game told me I needed a crafting level of 105 to do this (I'm guessing that means 90-99 crafting plus a boost potion). Anyway...needless to say, my crafting was nowhere near high enough. Elsewhere in the same dungeon I found another "Guardian" Puzzle room. In this room however, my crafting level was sufficient to craft the necessary piece (a leg). I decided to try something. I took an extra rock and carved the head needed in the previous room. Went back to the first room with this piece and tried it on the Guardian and...IT WORKED!! Now I doubt it'll happen very often where you'll have 2 of the same puzzle rooms in the same dungeon, but if you do...maybe this will work for you too :) (far as I can tell, this would probably only work with the "Combat Triangle Statues" and "Guardian" puzzle rooms)
  6. Well, that's not necessarily true. Some NPCs require you to be in person to accomplish something. For example, Pikuppstix giving you your triple charm minutes. Ahh...I've only ever used that spell once, and it was for WGS. That being the case, I can tell you that I was able to use the spell to contact Duradel, Turael, Mezchna, and Cyrisus for the quest.
  7. I think there's a couple things that could be added to the quest. Perhaps under Tips & Tricks or just in ( )'s. Step 2. The Wise Old Man actually gives you 100 house teletabs. You only need to chip and modify 1 leaving you with 99 extra to keep As a 'tip', during the battle, I didn't use a guide so I only had 1 combat style with me. So I ended up having to leave the house to get more than 1 combat style. Once The Wise Old Man teleported me to the G.E., I used 1 of the teletabs Dionysius gave me to teleport to my house (which just happens to be in Rimmington), exited my house and chipped a new tab to get back.
  8. also, unless you are using a Halberd or spear, melee doesn't work when she's on a platform.
  9. ***SPOILER*** Once you get so far in While Guthix Sleeps, 2 slayer masters are killed. Turael is replaced by a female slayer master named Spria, and Duradel is replaced by a master named Lapalok. Here is a screenshot of the Lunar Contact NPC spell showing these 2 new masters.
  10. I'm pretty sure you can check even after the quest, just click on contact NPC and see who is on the list. I'll check and edit this post if I'm able to get a screenshot. Ok, I just checked. While they are all able to be contacted before the quest...after the quest, a few of them can no longer be contacted via this spell. As such, I cannot get a screenshot of the NPCs available before the quest. I've included screenshots of who you can contact after the quest.
  11. Hmm...interesting. I spoke to the guards and they told me about the laundry. Before and after the quest though, they said what you said, but during the quest I got the laundry suggestion. Interesting. As for the final battle, I agree, with 1 exception. Fighting the balance elemental, I needed food. Fighting the 2 tortured demons however, I never needed anything. They could barely make a dent in my boosted LPs. Definitely need to stay close to the stone spot, but other than that...I didn't use prayer, food or anything. I had on full black d-hide, rune crossbow, steel bolts, and a dragon scimmy. So I say, bank for food to fight the balance elemental, but don't even worry about the tortured demons.
  12. I think I can help. To be honest, I used a different site to help me with this quest (I didn't know about tip.it at the time) and it had what was missing. It's not just ANY elite black knight, it's the 1 all the way to the east. I've copied and modified Tip.It's own photo of the area to show what I'm talking about (maybe have this added to the picture in the walk-through) I killed this lone knight 3 times and got the 3 pieces. Plus, the others won't come that far over so you'll fight the 1 knight and only the 1 knight.
  13. I can confirm this. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of how to help update these guides until after I finished every quest except Nomad's Requiem, so I cannot furnish any proof. I can only say that I was able to use the wand to work the rings.
  14. Towards the beginning of the walk-through, you are required to obtain 1 set of Mourner's clothes (or 2 sets if you don't still have yours). In the walk-through, it says that you do NOT need to clean and repair the outfit. Having just done this quest however, it appears that you DO need to clean and repair the outfit. Not sure if this is something Jagex changed recently...or if it was a typo in the walk-through. Unfortunately, I don't have any screenshots or anything showing that you need to clean/repair the clothes. If anyone is in the process of doing this quest and can get some kind of proof, that'd be great. :) Also, don't know if you want to mention it in the walk-through. The gnome in the Mourner's base, will be upset with you if you don't speak to the Head Mourner BEFORE the end of the quest. Once you finish the quest, you CANNOT go back and try to get the gnomes freedom, it MUST be done before the end of the quest. Perhaps something in there to have you speak to the Head Mourner immediately after making the promise.
