Hmmm. Account sharing kind of goes hand-in-hand with botting to me. I would personally never do either, not just because it's against the rules, but because I think it cheapens those achievements. I just wouldn't feel the same sense of accomplishment. Sometimes when I'm wandering around RS, I wonder how many of the skillcapes I see were earned legitimately...

MTK help
I'd swap maples or coal for fish, but that might just be me. Nests from maples can be profitable, but the seeds you get are totally random, of course. Coal is pretty stable, though!

thinking about a clan...
Thanks, everybody! I'm still not sure if a clan is for me, because I often don't even have time to play for weeks at a time, but I haven't totally ruled it out. :) The fall term starts soon for the university where I teach, plus I'm busy with research, so we'll see how the next few weeks go before I make any decisions. ;)

A void dance quest guide mistake
I noticed that as well: it was far easier to kill the knight once my prayer was gone, as he did not heal himself anymore...or as much, at least!

10-Aug-10 A Void Dance
D'oh...I didn't notice until you said that. It took me forever to get the knight's names (Sir Amik Varze, Sir Tiffy Cashien, etc...), too!! :wall:

thinking about a clan...
Soooo, lately I've been thinking about finding a clan. The thing is, I'm 28-year-old PhD candidate that cannot always take time away from teaching/research/etc. in order to participate in "required" events. Also, I've noticed that in order to be a part of a lot of "mature" clans, you must have a high combat level and/or total level, and I do not; however, I don't want to join a clan in which I'd be treated like a noob. I'm an experienced player, and I enjoy pretty much everything about Runescape, but my play time varies wildly due to summer/winter holidays and school-related responsibilities. I just haven't trained any single skill up to 99! I guess the biggest reason I'm interested in clans is that I have only a few RS friends, and all of them are people I'm friends with in real life, including my husband. lol. ;) That said, we think it would be kind of fun to have other adults to chat with, and do things that require a team...hmm. Any suggestions/advice? Lol...I know I sound like a huge pain in the butt. ;) (did I mention that one of my favorite things EVER is penguin hunting?!?!)

Sorry about re-posting this whole thing (I don't know how to hide it, lol)...but very well said, gompo.

The author is not saying that at all, you have totally misread it. The author is not saying what is and isn't fun, but that those who don't have fun probably shouldn't be playing. The author highlights those who play just for the rewards even when the journey makes them want to hurl. If you enjoy monster hunting then great, but if you don't enjoy it, then don't do it. THIS. That is what I realized recently, and I'm okay with the fact that I probably will never get any 99s. I like questing, penguin hunting, and things like that...I can only grind away at skills for so long before my mind goes numb. Though, I do enjoy the occasional slayer assignment. ;)

Soul Wars: how does one deal with mages?
I gave the Seercull thing a try, and it seemed to work fairly well. Of course, the same people run back to the same spot over and over, but at least it distracted them. :)

I suggest putting some on coal instead of fish. In my experience, coal has made more money, but...totally up to you.

Killing Jad
The hardest part (for me, anyway) has been prayer switching on Jad. I've nearly killed him a couple of times now, but I guess I got flustered and screwed up on switching...so I'd suggest watching videos and practicing prayer switching in order to make sure you're prepared for him. Good luck!

Soul Wars: how does one deal with mages?
Yeah....that's kind of what I figured. :-P Too bad I don't have enough spare time to get those stats up!

Soul Wars: how does one deal with mages?
So, I've been lurking on the forums for probably 2-3 years now, and haven't ever posted a question, so here it goes... My combat stats (including range/mage) are decent, but every time I play Soul Wars, I get owned, mostly by mages. WHY??? I guess I'm missing something, because people still hit me through prayers/curses. Any thoughts?
