Since mage hits Very accurately you would give your opponent an element of surpise. Also it does not require you to change weapon unless you want to save on runes. While having a melee/ranged hybrid requires you to switch from your weapon to your bow, this can waste 1-2 precious seconds. Btw i notice you have 26 mage and wear black g to wildy.
