  1. According to the RS Wiki, only the Atrocious Rogue Gloves cannot be taken out of the crucible. However, it does not state whether or not the other rogue gloves (for example, loathsome rogue gloves) can be used outside the crucible. So I was hoping if I can use the gloves inferior to Atrocious Rogue gloves outside of the Crucible. Question: Can you use the loathsome (and lower) rogue gloves outside of the crucible?
  2. Given that Jadinkos only appear when their preferred setup is accomplished, I was wondering if it had to be literally taken like that. I want to catch Diseased and Cannibal Jadinkos, but they have different requirements. http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=herblore_habitat.htm#hunter Cannibal: No Tree, Kalferberry Bush, Green Flower, Tall Grass Diseased: Banana Tree, no bush, no flower, Boneyard From Diseased to Cannibal, all I have to do is turn Boneyard into Tall Grass and add stuff. If I want to go back to Diseased, I can turn the Tall Grass into a Boneyard... but do I have to change everything else too? Do I have to remove the Banana tree and the bush/flower, everything? Can I just meet the requirements and the extraneous items will be ignored? ----- Also, are the herb growing times the same with other herbs? Do I really have to wait super long for the growth and all or does this place have accelerated farming?
  3. So here's the story: Junior year of high school, the most dreaded and crucial year as barked by many people, has dawned upon my life. I stopped playing Runescape to heavily focus on my studies, and decided to play during the summer. Now it has become summer and when I logged on, I was taken aback. My account has been taken out for a joyride, if one may, and left in shambles. Before school: 2 Whips, Full Guthan, Ahrims, 20m Cash, 30k of each rune, Inferno Adze set, etc. The good stuff that a typical skiller would have. After school: 2 Korasi Swords, Full Void Melee/Range (but no gloves or deflector), Sacred Clay Platebody+Platelegs, 20k. That's it, nothing more at that point. So basically, Mr. Hacker had a joyride with my account. I'm not too worried about losing everything, because I've made many mistakes in the past and have recovered from it. But the only thing that bothers me is this: What items did I lose permanently? I know I got rid of my blurite sword in the past, sadly I didn't know I'd never be able to obtain it again. So now I want to know what items have I lost forever? Secondly, I'd like to know how I can successfully and rapidly recover. Summer time is the playing time, so I have ample amounts of time to start recovery. With my stats, and my current $500k bank, I'd like to know what I can do for the best recovery. Stats: 99 Attack 99 Strength 95 Defense 99 Constitution 76 Prayer 87 Range 96 Magic 80 Summoning 99 Fishing 99 Cooking 99 Firemaking 99 Woodcutting 85 Mining 77 Smithing 78 Crafting 99 Fletching 73 Herblore 75 Agility 91 Thieving 87 Slayer 78 Farming 73 Runecrafting 82 Hunter 75 Construction 49 Dungeoneering Thirdly, what's the new Tip.it Chat? I was wondering around the magical world of Runescape and I encountered a highly elusive Kingly Impling. I wanted to alert the Tip.it community but alas I forgot the clan chat name. So I just let it escape and went about my business.
  4. Stop by the RSOF monster section. Some players actually post their God Wars (and other bosses) drop tables, so you can check the amount of (desired item) they get from the total kills. Hope that helps
  5. The Stats: 99 Attack 99 Strength 94 Def 99 Constitution 87 Range 75 Prayer 95 Magic 79 Summoning 75 Construction 73 Runecrafting 44 Dungeoneering 75 Agility 72 Herblore 91 Thieving 78 Crafting 99 Fletching 86 Slayer 82 Hunter 85 Mining 77 Smithing 99 Fishing 99 Cooking 99 Firemaking 99 Woodcutting 78 Farming If the bank was absolutely empty, as in: no quest items what-so-ever, no achievement diary items, no runes, no weapons, absolutely NOTHING. Would recovering this account be worth it? Current status: Pretty much what I said above.
  6. 1) Try to craft them into amulets and sell them to the Rogue Jewel or the G.E. 2) Smith into Gold helms or bowls for smithing exp.
  7. Weapons: 1) Is the Armadyl Godsword the best godsword for Pking? I've used Bandos, and it was decent. I'm currently using Armadyl, and it hasn't been yielding the best results (except when I koed my target in Full Statius with 670). Honestly, the specials FAIL hard, legendarily epically supernova-like catastrophic FAIL. However, its special seems to be the most beneficial for pking. 2) Is the Bandos Godsword the best godsword for Pking? The special seems useful, although I question its accuracy. **3) Is the Saradomin Godsword the best godsword for Pking? I hear the special is the most accurate, and I'm leaning toward this sword. Its special seems useful for saving my skin during tight situations (like using spec + eating simultaneously for extreme healing). However, it doesn't seem like its pking material, as pking values offense most, right? ** Is the Saradomin Godsword a good weapon choice for Slayer? Honestly, with the power slaying methods and Guthans available, I'm doubting this. At 40m+ investment, I'm a bit dubious. However, this allows Guthans to be replaced with "better" armor and such. It might save on food costs, but what if I rely on cheap food like monkfish? Also, with the EEE and Guthans, I'm doubting the sword's greatness. Also, the healing summonings kind of defeat its healing prowess.. so is it really useful today? Is the Saradomin Godsword a good weapon for monster hunting in general? Not just boss hunting, but like camping at the living rock caverns or some other valuable monster, like the cyclopssus (given a massive lode of tokens). Food On nom nom... Anyways. What is the best food in the game? I'm thinking the best might be Rocktails, as they're one bite healers and they heal the most, plus they do give a boost in case you eat at full health. Definitely boss food material. However, I'm hearing that pineapple pizzas are good substitutes, as they might be lighter and heal almost as much. However, I'm also hearing that monkfish are great foods for slayer because they are cheap and they heal a decent amount. However, I'm also hearing that sharks are great also, since they're very bountiful in the Runescape World (and probably the most used, excluding the rocktails). However, I'm hearing that karambwans are useful because they heal near sharks, and they don't delay the attack. However, I'm hearing that Saradomin Brews are good enough for food, given there are stat restore/super stat restore potions. However, I'm hearing that the EEE is great for saving food. Honestly, what foods should I keep (only keeping 3, to conserve bank space, I'm a bank space miser and I hate keeping items I don't use or will not use for a while, unless they're useful or skill related)? Reasons too please... for example: 1) Rocktails - Boss Foods, heals the most 2) Pineapple Pizza - 2 bites, heals 22 decent price 3) Monkfish - really cheap, decent food or... 1) Rocktails - only use this as food 2) Saradomin Brews - not a food, but use for healing 3) EEE - sword special Or should I stick with the weapons and summons? Saradomin Godsword? EEE + Whip/etc? Guthans? Unicorns or Titans or Bunyips? Is Guthans even worth it with Saradomin Godsword or in general?
  8. I hope this doesn't count as a double post, but: It seems people are arguing that the Blessed Spirit Shield is better than the Dragonfire shield. However, is a +20 difference (which the DFS) has really that insignificant so that the BSS is considered better? I mean the super anti fire will render it useless against dragons, but is the defense difference really insignificant?
  9. I miss the conversations on the clan chat, and I know the old one was Forsakenmage's. However, the last time I went on the name was "Mudkipz" instead of "Tip.it," and no one was in it, except me. What happened to the tip.it clan chat? Is there none anymore or what is the new clan chat?
  10. What items are worth collecting for money? I know prices change but honestly, some are stable/ definite to sell (like limpwurt roots). These can come from easy to kill monsters or just collecting. I know a few are...: Herb farming (collecting herbs from farming or monsters) Red Spider eggs Blue Dragon scale Limpwurt Roots Mort Myre Fungi If possible, please make a difference between nonmembers and members, since I have a nonmember account seeking membership (which might not come, but knowledge would be helpful in due time). Also the cash/hour would be nice, I remain pretty alert when I collect items.
  11. I'd get the fire cape first, get it over with. Then get ice skyrs, it might be worth it.
  12. What shields are worth to keep or get? Melee: 1) For extremely risky, (like Corporeal Beast, or anywhere death + losing items is likely), low risk situations, would it be better to use Rune Kiteshields or Granite shields? Would the Dragon square shield be worth as the ultimate decision of the three? *Only keeping one kind, hate to keep items I won't be using often 2) For nonmembers, is the Rune Berserker shield worth obtaining? Or should I stick with Rune Kiteshield? 3) For melee combat training, including slayer, should I use defenders rather than shields? 4) Is the crystal shield worth getting? Why? 5) Are the spirit shields worth getting? Which ones? Why? 6) Is the DFS worth getting? Why? Also, should anti dragon shield copies be kept? Should I be "cheap" and use the ad shield + try my luck at trying to obtain draconic visage drop? 7) Is the 3rd Age kiteshield worth getting? 8) Bonus wise (ignoring abilities, because I couldn't care less), are the dungeoneering shields worth obtaining? Why? 9) Please list the best shields from lowest to highest (in your opinion of usefulness, bonus, reliability, etc.), reasons why would be nice. Magic 1) For nonmembers, is the tome of frost worth obtaining? 2) Is the Mage's Book worth obtaining? Or should I stick with the God books/Tome of Frost? 3) Is the Arcane Spirit shield worth obtaining? Range 1) Should I only use the God books for their bonuses and no negative range? 2) Should I use a shield with them? For bosses perhaps? 3) Should I stick with 2h bows instead? Miscellaneous 1) What other shields are definitely worth getting? 2) What other shields are worth getting, but not totally worth it? 3) What other shields should be totally ignored? Besides the incredibly inferior/weak ones.
  13. 1) What is it? 2) Is it better than regular slaying? 3) Slayer is renown to be very profitable, but is power slaying more/less profitable than regular slaying? 4) If you power slay, do you do clue scrolls after the task or during the task? 5) Does it have high costs? As when it comes to power training, it usually applies to maximum efficiency that comes proportionally with cost. 6) Pros/Cons of Power slaying? 7) What stats would be best to power slay?
  14. 1) Did you get the skill rewards? Like the herbicide, coal bag... If not, get them. If yes... proceed to #2. 2) Did you get the other rewards? Bone necklace, Arcane Stream... If not, get them. If yes... proceed to #3. 3) Are you a skiller/looking for skill capes? If not, proceed to #4. If yes... try to get 99 or 120, if you're a uber skiller. 4) Are you a pker, or do you go boss hunting? If not, proceed to #5. If yes... get all weapons x2 and keep some points for recharges. 5) If you have everything, all items and such, and don't plan on getting exp or training... Save it for the future.
  15. I think keeping it would be better because...: With the new nerfed Onyx prices, the fury will probably remain at a higher price, if not will probably rise. Fury is also probably the best overall amulet there is, and the bonuses are "awesome." Killing dragons for money is better, honestly. You can make up the money for herblore easily with dragons. Herblore, it won't yield you as many levels, so I doubt it.
  16. My combat stats: 99 Attack 99 Strength 94 Defence 99 Constitution 87 Range 75 Prayer 95 Magic 79 Summoning 1) Is the Kalphite Queen even worth hunting anymore? ...The famed Dragon Chainbody seems "worthless" compared to the oh-so ubiquitous Bandos Chestplate, and the Dragon platebody is now the "complete Dragon set" piece. Although it has a high value still, it doesn't seem as profitable as other boss monsters. However, it may be amongst the easiest bosses to kill. 2) Tormented Wraith Solo? Or Corporeal Beast Team? ... I heard that the safespot for Wraith has been removed, so soloing will be much harder. However, it does drop valued spirit shields (no sigils) and the Holy Elixir. The Corporeal Beast is riskier but I see much hope/potential in the sigil drops. In addition, the other drops don't seem that bad. If I go with Corp Beast, should I try my luck with Corp Masses or a small elite team? 3) How great are Tormented Demons? How profitable are they? ... Dragon claws are the main attraction... 4) God Wars Bosses: ...Armadyl - tried but failed miserably, not sure if I can "handle it." ...Zamorak - seems boring, and I doubt anyone will buy the hilt (since the special really stinks). ...Bandos - too crowded, but might be the easiest. ...Saradomin - I heard that soloing her got harder... but the Saradomin Hilt seems worth it... 5) Dagannoth Kings: ...Used to do it with some friends, and it was great, until the prices crashed. Not sure if its worth anymore, since my primary role was to wreck Rex, however, many people keep soloing it. 6) Or Should I avoid Boss Monsters, and try Clue Scrolls/Barrowing?
  17. Didn't know that mystic robes protected over abyssal whip. When Chaos Elemental came out, went to fight with a friend. Wanted to leave, and got the items from someone (thought it was a gift). Got killed, lost whip. Was pking, got a kill. Picked up Bandos Statuette, got attacked by mage pjer. Died, Bandos statuette protected over D-claws.
  18. Hey players, what annoys you in Runescape? One thing that annoys me are condescending players, particularly those who denounce players for not having a social life. I mean, seriously, who are they to judge?
  19. According to Jagex, Overload (and its Extreme potion constituents) are unable to be used in Pvp/BH worlds, or dangerous PvP activities in general. However, I read somewhere that the effects of the potions are just reduced on those worlds. Based on this, I would like to know: 1) Can Overloads really be used in PvP/BH worlds? 2) If #1 is true, what effect will they (Extreme potions/Overload) have? Particularly Overload (please include the damaging aspect as well? *Especially what is this "reduced effect" - is it a super potion variant instead of extreme? 3) If #2 is true, then if Overload is able to be used, and if its effects are equal to a "super set" and it retains its renewing characteristic, will it be a great item to use (as it can save space for more food, particularly Saradomin Brews with its renewing ability)? 4) If #3 is true, then the optimal set up would be 1 Overload, with bunch of Saradomin Brews + Rocktails for layer-killing?
  20. The godsword being outdated idea has manifested itself now, since the godsword prices are falling, particularly the Armadyl Godsword. The other weapons have truly superceded the godsword as power weapons. (Membership ran out, won't be getting it back any time soon, most of wealth invested in ags in my bank, oh boy... I'm going to be SUPER OMEGA ULTIMATE UBER BROKE)
  21. Good in the sense that Jagex is going to "nail" those macroers. Since now-a-days buying items isn't possible (like $5 for Santa Hat) because of the trade limit, macroers have to resort to training for money (50 levels for $10, for example). Account selling is still possible. Bad in the sense that innocent players could be punished. Also bad is the players who play many hours daily can be punished as macros, which Jagex assumes they are macroing since they play so long. *This can be good, it might get the players to not play as long, or make them quit Bad in the sense also, that although levels may be reset, bots can "easily" reobtain the lost levels (as they are bots, or humans with slave labor conditions). And the items kept will not disappear (or do they?); if the items do not disappear, the botting agencies can sell rich accounts to people.
  22. I had a target kill, and since I was "broke" (in terms of all my money went into one item - the Armadyl Godsword). My target and I agreed to fight, and we both went out into the wild. Apparently, under her rune armor was full Statius, and she whipped out chaotic longsword. I was using rune + neit helm, with nothing special (no rune boot, rune gloves, regular cape) The fight was hard, and knowing that she was using Obby shield + Full Statius, her defenses were HIGH. I knew I was going to die, so I used AGS specials really early. First hit was, of course like how much of a failure this sword is - 0. Second was a regular hit for ~400, then, a second special for 670! She died, but I got "lame" items (like 600k).
  23. Objectives: To have a decent or good equipment to fight monsters, train slayer, etc. Stick with one armor particularly, as to oppose having multiple armor types which might not be used at all. (Plus, it'll be easier to find armor with less of a selection) Save bank space (although membership will have a lot, I like to keep the best and discard "trash" - items that are inferior/probably won't be used due to presence of superior equipment) Choosing the best option most of the time, but also trying to be a bit economical - back ups would be nice Opinion: Melee - Bandos or Barrows (best option) A) Is 3rd Age worth it? B) Is Dragon armor worth it? C) Is Bandos armor really worth it? D) Should I just stick with rune (or sacred clay, due to it being lighter?) E) Is Barrows armor worth it, although it degrades and might be extra expensive because of degrading? Particularly what barrows set? Magic - Ahrims (best option) A) Is 3rd Age worth it? B) Is Infinity robes worth it as non degradable magic? C) Should Mystic robes be used in place of Infinity as non degradable? Ranging - Armadyl (best option) A) Is Karil's worth it? Doubtful since Armadyl has higher range attack + magic defense.. B) Should Black Dragonhide be kept as back up, although it might not even be used? Miscellaneous: A) Are the blessed variants of the spirit shields worth it? B) Is the amulet of ranging worth it? Also, is ranger boots worth getting? Forgot to add, my stats are: Highscores - Heavenflashg
  24. Skills: 99 Attack 99 Strength 93 Defence 99 Constitution 75 Prayer 95 Magic 87 Range Equipment: Helm of Neit Amulet of Glory Sacred Clay Platebody + Black Dragonhide Rune Platelegs + Black Dragonhide Barrow Gloves Dragon Boots Fire Cape Ring of Life Black Salamander (magic) Armadyl Godsword *Can't afford Amulet of Fury, and price is rising faster than I can make money. **I am poor, so cannot afford great armor - hence why I am using "free rune" (Sacred Clay)\ *** Debating whether to sell Ags for Sgs + Bandos armor (at least 1 part) Inventory: House Teleport Spade Sharks *I plan to not use prayer potions, till I get richer at least. I plan to recharge prayer at my POH and only use prayer on Dharok, Karil, and Ahrim. **Salamander against the melee brothers, Ags against Ahrim + Karil. --- Using the following equipment and setup, with the skills provided, would barrowing be profitable for me? Luck doesn't matter.
