  1. Eh, I think I'll keep using the spiked gauntlets until I decide to get off my but and do some questing., thanks for all the help though. Slaying has been somewhat profitable, got a little over 60k from an Ice Giant task (though I killed quite a lot of Ice warriors too, stupid aggro range) and I'm currently sitting at 56 Atk :D Though I hate the Crocodile tasks  horrible, horrible task. Wish I could get more Cockatrice task, pretty relaxing and profitable (cue someone telling me it isn't)
  2. I think I'll keep slaying, at least till level 60 (for dragon weapons) and then I'll decide if I continue training attack, incidentally is there any decent, buy-able item for the hand-slot? I know the RfD gloves are the best overall option, but I don't really want to quest that much right now.
  3. So yeah, I got two relatively simple questions, the first one is, what is a good set up for training combat through slayer at low level? Stat-wise I'm at 51 Atk, 37 str, 30 def, 25 mage, 11 range, 43 prayer, 35-ish constitution and 35 Slayer. For gear I'm using a Black armour set, obsidian cape, fury, berserker ring (I have a warrior's ring too), black mask and dual Rune Scimies, for magic a full spider set (wand and orb) and a hexcrest, and for range I have a studded leather set. I have about 1.1 mill in the bank, but I don't really want spend it all on supplies, As for attack training, I'm trying to decide if going all the way to 75 attack (so I can use my Sarandomin sword) through slayer is viable, or if I should train on one specific monster (IIRC experiments form the Frankenstein-quest were pretty good for that)?
  4. There is no real rush, I simply don't know what to do; I haven't played RS3 in a long time and I got bored of OSRS. So I'm just defaulting to the things that I enjoyed before.
  5. In a somewhat related note, should I wait till cbl 40 before starting slayer?
  6. It is a brand new account, it has less than 5 hours of gameplay, my current stats are 30 Atk/Str, 15 Constitution, 14 Def, 10 range, 11 Magic, 43 Prayer, 33 Crafting (due protean leathe from Treasure hunter) and everything else is at level 1 Equipment of note, Berserker, Archer & Seer ring, Obsidian cape and a full Spider Silk set which I crafted while training Magic on Corpse spiders in Lumby catacombs.
  7. So, yesterday night I got extremely lucky on treasure hunters and I got a Lucky Armadyl chainskirt on my brand new account, obviously I immediately cashed out it for 4 mill, and after buying soem prayer levels, a set of fremenik rings (which I had never owned before) and some herblore ingredients. I have about 2 mill left in the bank, and I was wondering if getting an amulet of fury (around 1 mill according to the wiki) would be a good idea right now, I know there are much better amulets out there, but most of them require high level skills which I don't have.
  8. I decided to knock off a few more quests today I'm not sure what to do next, though I'll probably do some mine essence and/or flax spinning to get some money, I'm running low in Chaos runes and they are my go to for combat right now.
  9. Hey guys! I'm Dusk, well not really but you get it right? Anyway after an almost 4 year-long break from RS I decided to come back, the thing is that well things changed a lot in those years and I didn't really like the way things changed in RS3, but thankfully OSRS exist so I can still play the game I love; who knows though, maybe I just need a little more time to get used to RS3. In the meantime I decided to try and complete one of my incomplete RS goals and make a Zerker (I do hope curses are introduced though). In order to keep myself interested enough I thought that opening this little corner of the forum to chronicle my progress would be a good way, so here I am. Current Goals: 10 Herblore60 Ranged55 MagicQuests to do: Tourist TrapThe Grand TreeFight ArenaMonkey Madness. Current Stats
  10. Farming it is then. EDIT: Also, is there a tip.it clan chat for OSRS?
  11. I've always sucked at Money Making, and without the G.E. I'm not really sure how to start, so yeah 3 mill is a bit much to start, right now I don't think my bank is even worth 10K. So yeah I'll probably keep skilling for a bit before I dive into the more expensive combat training, such as Magic. I remember that getting climbing boots from Death Plateau and selling them to PK'ers is a decent way to start making GP at low level, is that still true?
  12. I tend to be on the cheap side, so I usually don't consider that things viable for me, though I admit that sounds incredibly useful for getting 94 Magic (for Vengance), I'll consider it once I've made some money. Another n00b question though, how should I train HP? Should I do it via Ranged/Magic?
  13. I don't really know anyone who still plays RS, nevermind OSRS so having some Solo-ability would be the best, I think going Rune pure as a start and trying Pking would be best, that way if I get bored or I find I don't like it I can transition to a normal account without (much) trouble. Edit: Incidentally, does OSRS has a botting problem? I've seen some really high level accounts (CBL 100+) splashing on chickens near Lumby, that strikes me quite odd to say the least.
  14. I wasn't planning on going 1 Def pure, I was debating between a Rune or a Berserker account.
  15. Hey guys, you probably don't remember me, but I used to be somewhat active on this forums back in 2012, just before EoC hit the live servers; I stopped playing due several personal reasons, but now that I have put my life in order (at least to some degree) I heard RS siren call once more and decided to start again, but so many things have changed that RS3 isn't the game I loved, imagine my surprise when I found about OSRS, it was like a dream come true (though I have to admit I miss the G.E.). Anyway, I wanted to ask, is there any point on making a pure-type character? I always wanted to make one, but for some reason or another I never did, so I'm wondering if I should make one now that I have the chance, I'm really torn because while I like the idea of a pure I have no actual PVP-experience (unless you count Castle Wars) and I really enjoyed monster-hunting on my previous account. The core of the issue is that from where I'm standing PVP with a pure is mutually exclusive with monster hunting, am I wrong?
  16. I started playing Runescape in early 2006 and have continued to do so sporadically during all these years, not long after I created my first character I stumbled upon tip.it, and althought I only registered to the forums about a year or so. All I have to say is thank you, thank you tip.it and forum.tip.it you made my journeys through Runescape easier and more fun. I learnt so much form you... But I have to say goodbye, to runescape and to tip.it. There has been some situations that have forced me to reeavaluate my life and I came to understand that at least in the near future I can't scape anymore, thought it saddens me a lot, I let the game became more than that and it affected me in many ways. So I am retiring from the game and the forum. Again I thank you.
  17. Rock Elemetal? Living Rock Creature? Why are claws so bad in the beta? Do their stats suck that much compared to dual wielding other weapons?
  18. I don't think you can dual cast. If by dual casting, you mean using two implements, yes you can with orbs and wands. In he video the mods mentioned that you would halve the casting time of spells that way or something along the lines of that.
  19. Vyere watchs are 150k per hour with maxed polearm IIRC and they profit a little too
  20. I guess Defenders will be a mid-way point between shields and offhand weapons, less HP boost; but access to Dual wielding abilities (with reduced DPS).
  21. So what would be a cost effective way to train magic to 80 from 69? I have access to Ancient Magic and I can easily unlock Lunars
  22. I've read that some of the most consistent money making at decent levels are Dagganoth Kings and that Rex is particularly good to start since it is relatively easy and it is possible to safespot him. So my question is, what are the minimum stats I would need to kill him reliably? I am guessing 80 magic at the least for PPS; but other than that I have no idea.
  23. Nice to know, one more reason to try ans complete the questline asap.
  24. Aren't Vyres only better than AZ if you have a maxed blisterwood weapon?
