I assume you mean the robes and ranging gear your start with on complexity 1-3(?). I usually just keep them in my inventory, it would be a waste of time to drop them. If you mean the robes and ranging gear that spawn at the start of a complexity 6, I would sell them to buy a toolkit before you start the dungeon.

You will have to feed it firecapes. jk, but you have to feed every other pet, I would not think this one would be an exception.

I'm pretty sure you only need to do priest in peril for mazchna. I don't think any quests are required for Vannaka, but what lies below could be helpful if you want to do Bork for the slayer exp.
