Which ever race you wanted be, choices are elf, dorf and gnome, you would have to complete a hard to very hard quest for that race. It would make the new form more unique. If not it would be pointless due to a lot of people shelling out 5k to be their favorite species. Makes it interesting, as people looking to sell fast will ask for a little less than the current trading price. People making the rune will be able to sell for a little cheaper, and attract more people to their wares. This is how it works in Kingdom of Loathing anyway. This trading system reminds me of Everquest. Before they had a system like this, it was all one big place everyone hung around yelling out loud like Runescape is now. High prices were kind of often and sometimes you would get ripped. After the system was made, pretty much all the prices for different stuff rounded off because you could see all the prices being offered for that particular item. And like you mentioned, people wanting to sell fast would have to sell less. The people who were more attuned to the market could sell slightly higher, wait for days and finally get that sell. No Extreme inflation and price guaging. I doubt Jagex would want to repeat what happened with rares and colored gloves. Either Jagex should make them buyable from the merchant, or dont add it at all.
