Nope Only 2/3 of your magic defense is based on your magic level. My point still stands though. Having a +50 boost in magic should outweigh a -50 drop to defense. I 100% agree with that. it doesn't matter anyways because i completed it and it wasn't defence for magic i was worried about, i know how it works, but that reminds me, someone on the forum said that boosted magic levels don't apply to magic defence, is that correct? im just wondering, not for kiln i made my own way of doing it, but just for general interest

that wasn't the problem.... i know how mage defence works..... it was the piling of attacks and when it was mage heavy i would switch and the range attacks would hurt the most..... the def loss would cost me alot when getting hit by range tentacles but it doesn't matter anyways, i did it.

because of the coming EOC (evolution of combat) it is preferred to make a new style of "pure", at the very least 50 defence is recommended. my friend made his new one 80 att (for chaotics) 50 def, 99 str, 99 magic, 99 range, 99 hp 96 summoning, 95 prayer, i think in modern wild its combat level 107+ 12, but in eoc i think it will be 149 or something. im not the best person to comment on pures, i only pk with my char i don't have a pure, but my friend is a very good pure. i guess the reasoning for higher def is because of the hp boost you get from armours in eoc, with iron or whatever 1 def pure wear you get 1 hit constantly, but with like 50 def you get alot higher hp

haha yeah it does make it alot easier, so today i got 95 str which is neat, and yesterday.... yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy when i beat kiln i screamed so loud my mom thought my brother was attacking me lol

sorry i was doing kiln and couldnt get back to respond, but i couldn't use mage crystal at the end cause my def was killing me, i was getting owned by like 15 tentacles, but i saved inv crystals for last wave and.... =) thanks though

i got to har-aken and got him almost dead, but the tentacles just crushed me, so would an ely help out alot in tanking the tentacles at the end? edit: i'm not sure if this is why, but i didn't kill alot of tentacles, so if i were to kill more of them would less of them be there towards the end?

ok so i'v made a pretty good amount of money in the short time i'v been playing, so best i can recommend is charge air orbs from unpowered orbs, and farming herbs in the meantime, when you get up some money you can merch or flip but those are my best ideas. with glory teles i guess you can get 2m an hour charging air orbs, with 500k of it being suuplies, so like 750k/hr profit, but that might be outdated, im not certain

lol i understand, i just meant if you get a second fire cape from slayer or whatever, i never would have sacrificed my only fire cape either :P but thanks :)

thank you very much =), and actually i just got my first fire cape 2 weeks ago, then a week later i got jad as slay assignment and i got so much more confident after than time cause i beat jad in like 1 minute or so, and i had the extra so i though why not try for kiln, and i looked at a couple guides and realized if you position yourself correctly in kiln its not NEARLY as tough as the stigma of "the almighty kiln" would make it seem. if you get it as a task you might as well get an extra and see what i mean =P best of luck when you do :)

so i died on har-aken in kiln on first try, but i was happy to get to the boss of kiln on first try when i know a couple 138s hat didn't even make it to the boss, and because i did seer's village tasks easy-elite today =D so enhanced excalibur will really help with kiln tomorrow, other than that alot of lvling and alotttt of work to do =P

oh ok..... i didn't know, because there were phishing site's called - runesc.ape and jagex.ltd (they still use email from that site to phish, they got a clanmate of mine using that one) so i wouldn't have been suprised if phishers made a youtu.be sorry, I always air on the side of caution, especially when there is a pretext to my initial conception.

i am such a quest nub i just got rune gloves yesterday =P ill get barrows gloves at some point this week, and probably dreadnips around the same time, i almost have every single quest requirement, except hunter, agility a little mining and a tiny bit o' thieving, then ill probably go for quest cape after i get all those while working on my goals, but 3 things i reallyyyyy gotta do are dunging, slayer and quest.... i can do it all :P

ok so recently i -got 76 slay =/ gonna go for 80 real soon, and got 94 strength, im getting closer to 99 and hp :-) -did caves for 3rd fire cape (1 as placeholder, 1 for use and 1 for kiln sacrifice) gave me 76 slayer, only my 4th kuradel task i got caves :-) -im gonna try kiln today, but realistically it will take me 3-5 times to do it, i can afford soul split and turmoil easily, but its just kind of a personal goal to do kiln without ss or turm, yak or chaotic.... gonna tort X2 and fire titan/scrolls with whip -did get some small lvls, don't matter much, and like 9 small quests that aren't important anf for funsies ill post some good korasi specs i got yesterday :D

i solo kq for funsies, and i could see how some people would think gwd are easier, but like i said my opinion.

i don't have 1- steel titan, or even close 2- dreadnips 3- barrows gloves

i can afford it, i just gotta do a bunch of quests, I'm gonna get turmoil fairly soon, but to be honest it's kind of a mini-goal of mine to Beat kiln with curses, then i'll do it again with Chaotics and Curses

So i'm gonna be trying the kiln a couple times, first of all I have No Curses/Turmoil/Soul-Split, so I'm forced to blood barrage In some parts. So here's my melee setup - [i'm going to be using the Vampyism Aura.] [set=head:6698,body:7074,legs:7075,gloves:6908,boots:7070,neck:4309,cape:4301,ring:12044,weapon:1010,shield:8010] With a war tortoise summoned with 14 Saradomin Brew Flasks (6) and 4 Super Restore Flasks (6) with this inventory- So when i switch to magic gear it will be- [set=head:6698,body:11863,legs:11862,gloves:6908,boots:11699,neck:4309,cape:4301,ring:12044,weapon:11867,shield:8010] My Questions - -Do I have enough prayer potions? -Is the fire titan My best option after my 2 war tortoises die/run out of brews? Or would a bunyip be better? -Is an Elysian Spirit Shield really THAT MUCH better than an Arcane Spirit Shield seeing I could face a possible large loss in re-sale? (I cannot afford a Divine Spirit Shield but could afford an Elysian) -Am I missing anything?

i know har aken and jad are easy when you get to know them, but so are most bosses.... i used to be afraid of graardor but now ill solo him no prob lol.... and the reason i'd say har-aken and jad high is because it took ME more time to get them understood with pray switching on jad and har aken know where to stay when he pops up etc.... i wasn't asking what you think of my list and to comment on it.... I wanted to know your lists lol

oh and the reason i was so happy is cause my herb cape isnt untrimmed anymore... lol

so haven't posted in a while, getting close to 99 firemaking :shades: also alot of other things, close to 70+, been lvling like crazyyyy :D
