  1. In the post-eoc aftermath, i think we've all seen our fair share of people "Rage Quitting" over the new changes to the game. I myself have seen a good portion of my friends list, at least 25 - 30% permanently go dead. While I attributed this mostly to people either not grasping the concept of the new system, or being unwilling to change, one of my long time friends, a RS veteran who started back in 2002 permanently quit today over EOC, and as some one who I knew understood the system, I decided to see what all the fuss about. I have monster been playing on my skiller these past few months, so combat hasn't really affected me. I switched to another one of my accounts for this. On the other account I use frequently, I have 17m attack Exp, 14m Defence Exp, 15m Attack Exp, and 18m range exp. Across my other accounts, I have at least an additional 20m Exp in my combat stats. I say this, because as some one who has accumulated over 80m+ experience in combat both in F2P and in P2P, i've definitely dedicated a lot of my time to combat. The first thing I felt upon training combat for the first time in EOC? RAGE. I tried switching between melee and range, and they were both horrible. I remember reading, and even hearing in a LIVESTREAM: 'Don't worry, you'll still be able to train as you did before. That still exists, we aren't removing that." This either means... A) Jagex lied to us and just assumed we would accept it. or B) Jagex has no idea how their players actually trained before EOC. Neither is a comforting thought. Supposedly training now is about "Strategy". Apparently its strategic now to simply put on the best gear, find a group of monsters that attack you, attack them all there at once, use momentum, wait till they all die, attack the next group, keep going, when your health drops down, use rejuvinate, build back up your adrenaline, use momentum....... sad thing is, that gives the best exp. \ Sound complicated? Yeah. Sound incredibly annoying? YES!!!!! and of course the best part is, having to read through tons of fansites, wiki's, and articles prior to training, since which monsters are weak against your attack style and are good to train on is not generally known. Isn't it fun to have to read up on how to do it, before actually training? And of course you can't read while training, oh no, because then you'll just sit there while monsters just run around you doing nothing. Before eoc, you know how we trained? Put on the best gear, grab some food, go down to a group of monsters.... have them ATTACK YOU, use pray or potions if necessary, and eat when you're low on health. Not this garbage it is now. I'm not asking to remove the EOC changes. In all honesty, i much like the changes to skilling due to the action bar. But make the damn monsters aggressive again! Even in the wildy, standing in a group of greater demons, nothing attacked me. This is ridiculous. With agressive monsters once again, how it should be, not only will we be eating food once again, stabilizing that incredibly crashed market, but we will still use your damn abilities, or momentum, if we prefer that, but all this rage, this frustration, this inability to cope with how horribly different, annoying, boring and tedious you've made the game will disperse. What are you trying to prove, by this? I remember reading somewhere that almost 50% players have either stopped training combat, or quit RS. Honestly, I'm surprised it's not more. If I was still doing combat, I would quit. Flat out. I have no intention of training combat on my skiller, the account i've been playing non-stop for some months, and I still migth quit. This is outrageous. Most of the new players I encounter in the game, instead of asking questions, tend to go "This is stupid" "This is boring" "Why do people play this?". You should have seen the conversation down where I was training. I would attach a screenshot, but if you have to black out every line of text due to obscenity, it can't really make a valid point. There's always been people saying this kind of stuff, but usually, it's been a minority. Now, it's all I ever hear from the newbies. You keep saying you want this game to endure another "10 Years". If that is what you really want, stop removing the good stuff from the game, before more RS veterans, myself included, leave. Turn back on the agressiveness of monsters. If there is no longer "An invisible force preventing more then one from attacking you at a time", why is there an even dumber, "Invisible force preventing any from attacking you" Anyone agree? Disagree?
  2. Just wondering, how did this guy get a news message thingy if he is a f2p ;o? Aren't the messages members only?
  3. Hai guys!!! I have been reading these forums for years, and finally decided to join in :) Finally decided to join up after a friend of mine gave me a nudge (haha). I am free to play pure, and am also a skiller cuz I don't like to hurt things :( I have been playing on and off for years but I try to stay in the shadows as much as I can > : )
