I've been fighting zombies these past couple months and I usually get 10-12k in coins per trip. Not bad at all.
You should look up the monster database to make sure how many coins the monsters drop. If I was killing Tormented Demons I would pick up the coins, if I was killing Bloodvelds, I would leave the coins on the floor.

I don't care how many people have said it, but I still don't consider Dungoneering to be a skill. It's more of a game inside a game, where you're isolated from the rest of the Runescape community and inside areas where you battle monsters and gain experience.
This was nothing new, more of a rehash of what video games have done for the past 30 years.

I quit this game for 3 years due to personal reasons and the fact that Runescape was on it's way downhill...
Now I play the game to try to catch up with what's happened these past 3-4 years, but it's not the same at it was on Classic and early RS2 when you had that Free Trade system going on. And of course, the famous high level players you used to run into that were well ahead of everyone else.

1-99 Hunter in three weeks only proves to me that someone spends all day and night in front of the computer playing Runescape.
Too many people tend to forget that Hunter can be used as sort of a prerequisite for Ranged. Once you get 99 Hunter you may as well go for 99 Ranged.
Hunter is for many much quicker than Fishing and I will probably go concentrate on that skill next after I get Defense to 99.
I was thinking of doing Red Salamanders to 80 Hunter because I want to use five traps for red chins, not four. I heard that Red Salamanders give anywhere from 40k to roughly 60k xp per hour, which is fine for me.
For Red Chins I heard it was around 60k-100k xp per hour. If that is so then I will go ahead and train Hunter soon. I've neglected the skill for several months now.

I see a lot of people running around in that gear but don't have high skills.
So I guess they just go and merchant. Or something else that I don't know.

What I don't enjoy is kids they try to ruin the fun for everybody else. And for what, a game that isn't going to matter when you grow older.
-
I would much rather have Reverants that pose as a challenge than to have players roam around wilderness without feeling the need to prepare themselves.
-
People are going overboard over this.
A lot of Runescape is based on luck. You may get Barrows armor every 5-10 trips, you may have a dry steak that lasts several months.
You can't change luck. It is an everyday occurrence and people need to accept it.

With every passing month, Jagex goes further down the tubes...
In the early days of Runescape they were more open to their players because it was ready for expansion. Now what's making the game flow is their profits and hair brained schemes they cook up with their Development Team.
I find it a harder reason to respect them and the players...
Why their players?
I believe this is a nostalgia rant. It's nothing but constant complaining about the newer updates.
As a long term player I am offended by your post.
Is being nostalgic every once in a while bother you? I'm sorry, but I still play the game like everyone else.

I need to ask you people how so many of you manage to obtain Bandos gear and Dragonfire Shield.
Those items combined cost nearly 70M gp and I just feel that is a big waste of money.

Karamja was one of the first Achievement diaries I've started and it is the last one I have yet to complete. Expect for Ardougue Elite, I have everything else done.
I'm currently stuck on trading gems for a machete and catching a Karambwan. I may also need help on being the Champion of the Fight Pits and killing a Ket-Zek at the Fight Caves.
The other tasks I think I can handle with no problems.
Anyone got any tips on how to get those four tasks out of the way?

It's better to do Ape Atoll to 85 Agility then move on to the Advanced Gnome Agility Course. Then at 90 Agility you can switch between Gnome and Barbarian.
-
I still need to finish off Karamja diary.

Construction is currently the fastest skill to level in, but is a real money sink.
So even if I do Plank Make to 99 and sell the Mahogany Planks back, I'm still going to lose 20 mil.
Probably only good for the xp then. There's always stunning as an alternative.

I used to consider Smithing a very expensive skill.
Right now I find making Gold Bars with Goldsmithing Gauntlets to give out the most exp per hour (70-80K), but this costs almost as much as Construction.
You can do the other methods listed here that help minimize loss, but they come with a cost of being slower.
-
You stop failing at level 75...
I would probably recommend doing Ape Atoll until you hit 85 Agility. Then you should use the Advanced Gnome Course.

Plank make is about 20m from 86 to 99, about 160k exp per hour and MASSACRES your hands. Use mahogany.
Well it couldn't be worse than burning 70K Maple Logs one by one, could it?
I did nearly all of my leveling by High Alching. That too, took a lot of clicks.
But can you use the mahogany planks later on for construction, or do you have to sell them back to the GE?

I just love it when all you high levels attack some guy who has much lower stats than you people do.
Stop it right now and think about it if you were in his shoes. I was picked on a lot too as a lower level, but I had the benefit of not seeing near as many high levels as you do today.
Please try to respect others.

I did most of my Firemaking at Edgeville. Usually had one other person lighting fires but it really wasn't that bad.

Then you guys ask me why we have F2P skillers and pures.
Surely they are missing a lot of content but are actually enjoying the game?
-
I think it has to do with the major influx of younger players we've been getting.
I was a reading a topic like this one on RuneHQ, and I rarely talk in-game anymore. I just can't tolerate people who feel they have to harass others...
-
Well it looks as if you haven't raised your Magic in the past few weeks.
I'm also going for 99, considering that it has been stagnant for YEARS.
I'm afraid that there are only two good options: Stunning or Plank Make. I'm not sure how you only need 15-30M for Plank Make, considering you have all those Mahogany logs. Wouldn't it be better to just use those planks for Construction?
Stunning is the most cost effective with SC. Otherwise, you get roughly 100k xp/h.
Please give more detail into Plank Make. I understand that I'm still rusty with much of the newer features in this game considering I spent most of my time in 2003-2006 Runescape.

It took 2 years, 9 months, 17 days... but I did it.

It only took you 3 years.
It took me over 4 years and I have maybe a tenth of your stats.
