  1. You could try buying yews from F2p and selling to P2p players? This would be quite low profit merchanting escpecially at the moment but i reckon you could get 20k per 1k yews merched. Also maybe try merchanting rune ess or pure ess. Other than those your best bet is to stay with smithing and mining, buying ores and making bars. Good luck!
  2. All to often I am asked by other players 'How should i make money?'. Often I reply with 'It depends'. And it really does. Money making and getting rich are 2 different things in my view. Making money can be done by killing a goblin a picking up the 4gp it drops. Sure if you did this a million times you would hav made 4 million gp. But there are easier and less tedious ways. I will outline a few common money making ways, and you can take your pick. Mining- A good solid skill is mining, since the dawn of time people have made money by selling their ores to smithers. I reckon iron or coal is a good way to start and a lvl of 40 for iron and 60 for coal is recommended. The mining guild is an obvious choice for coal with the added bonus of a few mith ores. The rimmington mines are the most common source of iron, although running is necessary due to no near by bank. Iron can be sold for 100gp each and coal ore for 175 to 200 gp each. Mining is perfect for non members because both iron and coal are freely availible in the free world. I calcuate 50k an hour as an average for iron mining and 100k an hour for coal mining. Flax picking and bowstring spinning- Members only!!! Flax is easy to pick and can be found about 50 squares south of seers bank. It is easy to pick and then bank. From experience i can collect 1k an hour. Flax sells for 100 gp ea. However just running and picking gives you no exp. If you wish to gain crafting exp you can spin the flax into bowstrings.Bowstrings sell for 180 gp ea. Making bowstrings is more profitable but remember it takes longer. If you have completed roving elves quest you can pick flax in lletya, which is faster and closer to a bank and spinning wheel. This means you can get up to 2k flax an hour. Runecrafting- Often many people leave their runecrafting at a pitiful level of under 20 etc. Runecrafting is not as boring as it seems and once you have lvl 44 it becomes very profitable. It is possible to make 1k natures an hour or 1.2k laws an hour depending on your method of crafting. This means the profits are about 250k an hour (350k minus 100gp ea for rune ess) Do not scorn runecrafting!!! Herblore- You don't need a good herblore level, you don't even need to be a member to be able to make money off herblore. Many high level herblorists need valuable ingredients and will pay dear for them! Here is an idea- limpwurt roots- unicorn horns- blue dragon scales- chocolate dust. These are all items which can be sold at quite high profits. A little calculation is need here as prices seem to rise and fall often, but all the items listed above can be sold for about 500gp ea. Easy money huh? A lot of my 'esteemed' friends (for instance Ianmk0) would reccomend collecting unids (unidentfied herbs) as the best way to make money. The best way to get these is to kill chaos druids in lvl 3 wildy in edgeville dungeon. Unids go into different 'stacks' depending on what type of herb they will be when identified. With a good enough herblore lvl a person can find out which is the ranarr stack and id all of those, maximising his profits. Chaos druids drop 11 stacks, with all 11 stacks, they can be sold for 1-1.2k ea unid. Some people can make up to and around 400k an hour with this method. Thank you to Ianmk0 for 'enlightening' us as to this method. Fishing- this has to be the easiest but most boring skill in the game. If you like talking and have a low boredom threshold then fishing is for you. About 100k an hour can be made fishing lobsters at about lvl70. However the profits are not incredible until lvl 99 where 300 to 400k can be made an hour. Killing- Runescape is based aroung the simple concept of ending NPC life. There are many monsters who drop rare and expensive items, if you kill enough of them! How you could be in for a long wait if you want to get a rare drop. Killing other monsters such as dragons will get you dragon hides and bones which can be sold at high profit. As you can see the later ideas are quite specialised and really not a great idea. Here are a few more ideas to make you laugh. -Kill the kalphite queen for dragon chain drops -Get lvl 85 mining and mine rune ore -Get lvl 83 crafting and make full black dragon hide sets and sell them
  3. Your stats are good for your combat level, It would be cool to add another 10 levels to your fletch and have a nice skill cape. Although the quest one is good enough. Your bank is strong and worth well over 10 mil which is immense. Congratz and keep up the good work!
  4. My favorite monsters are bloodvelds. They are lvl 76 but have 120 hp. This means low defence!! You have to bank every 20 mins or so but you can make 50k exp an hour if you try! Warning, lvl 50 slayer needed, located in canifis slayer mansion. They drop blood runes often (3,10,30) and also rune meds. Good training for lvl 80+
  5. Oh poo, can anyone tell me how to put in images? Training combat! (attack) at the bloodvelds. Anyone love bloodvelds? Low defence, High hitpoints? Could this be a perfect training monster?
  6. Ah, the golden days were golden but from where I'm standing this grass is still green. No longer is the game centered on hard work and lots of time playing, in fact each new update seems to make skills even easier. But hey, old timers have to adapt. And for anyone who is interested the website holds many more hidden gems like the photo. Have a look at all the old news posts from the times of '2 new worlds added, total worlds now 10!' and of course the old god letters (with some funky graphics). Next time you are fishing, smelting or crafting, have a look at some of those.
