New Story!

When Rs2 first came out, all your items were transfered to it(as you remember) For about 2 days, there was the option to transfer it back, but it broke and for some reason, jagx added an option to transfer from rsc to rs2. I guess it was in case you decided you wanted to stay with the new game. Either way, I went to rsc, talked to thessela and got another [Caution: Jagex Rule Violation] and bunny ears and transfered it over. I actually had 3 of each, but lost some :(

Hi! I'm misplacedme. And I'm retired I've actually been retired for the last 2.5 years or so, but I love the work here and the community so I stay around. This is going to be a blog of my attempts to do things on RuneScape. It should actually be rather amusing.(see my goal post about runecrafting) Here are my current stats. I attempted to get 50 hunter, but then got bored.... Here is my bank, in no particular order. My first story will come in a little bit. Bye! [hide=The journey to the God War Dungeon] When the dungeon was released, I decided i would help the Beastiary crew with a few pictures of the monsters. I use to have a knack for getting the pictures of monsters that were a lot stronger than I was, so I thought I could still do it. I load up howies for the quick picture taking. I load up mirc so I can talk with whoever happens to be online. I load up the forums so I can make sure nothing is happening that shouldn't. I realize that I forgot to load runescape, so I load the runescape main page. After that I go back to the forums and reply to a couple things. Then MIRC. Ten minuets late, I relize that I havn't even selected my detail yet... I do that, choose world 99, and log on. For some reason I'm in the observetory. I think I went there about 2 weeks ago. Meh. I begin the journey through the dungeon to get out before realizing I had Ardongue teleport runes. I teleport out. I then get falador teleport runes and teleport there and begin the walk to the dungeon. Wait... No food. I telport back to falador and notice my telports are low. I stock up. I begin my walk back to the dungeon. Wait... I forgot my food. Teleport away! Once there, I stock up on some dusty sharks and begin walking to burthope again. This time, I get to the hero's guild before realizing I had no armour. So, I telport back to Falador to get some. Huh.... I'm wearing my Phat. Good thing I didn't make it there.... Time to pick my best armour. Oh yeah... I lost my full rune in the wilderness about 2 years ago when I was casting fire wave on pkers... That didn't work well. I grab my rune skirt. I grab an addy platebody. Hmm... No helmet. This black wizard's hat would work. I'm ready now! I begin my walk to burthope. I actually make it there! When I begin going through the death plateu, I realize I need climbing boots.... Maybe I still have them. I teleport back. Find them in my bank and walk back. This time, I get to the dungeon entrance. Wait... No rope... I telport to Falador once again, stock up on teleport runes(again). I remembered being hurt by those trolls, so I decide to try the wilderenss agility shortcut. To no avail, it's one way. Once again, I begin the journey to the dungeon. I make it there, I climb down the rope(after trying to find the soldier for about 10 mins...) And I appear in the dungeon. WOW. That's a lot of monsters. Ok, I start taking pictures like crazy, centering, moving around. OH, that one looks cool! I take about 3 pictures of a person wearing full dragon with a whip. Wait, that's not a monster... Now I'm at 20 hp. Let's fix that. Restored and taking pictures again. And these monsters don't like me.... I run away healing. And I die. What did I get out of this journy? An hour and a half of wasted time, and one monster picture that wasn't terrible. Yeah! I log off, and continue whatever I was doing before I began. Untill next time! [/hide] [hide=God War dungeon Take 2 that never happened] New story time! Today, out of extreme boredom, I decided to log onto runescape. As it normally works out, the page is loaded for about 15 mins before I ever look at it, so I got some nice work finished up. After I log on, I decide that it would be fun to try my trip to the god wars dungeon again. After carefully looking through my bank, I find some armour that is slightly better than what I wore last time (rune plate, skirt, addy helm, mith squre). I put all this on and begin my journey. Teleport to falador and walk north. Wait... I'm at the gates of the city. Have I forgotten anything? FOOD! I forgot it again. At least I didn't get very far. I walk to the bank, grab my food and head off again. This time, I get to burthope before remembering my weapon. In irritation, I log off and look at the TET event. Hmm... I may have to work before that starts, but I can catch it in the middle. I quickly make my way to the dueling arena and log out. *RL stuff occours here* I finish with work a little earlier than I expected, so I walk to the cow field to meet up with the cabbage supporters. Along the way, I keep my promise to saidinwot and let him wear my hat for a bit. I'm getting bored typing. Let's just say there was a lot of dancing in the field before I left. Another trip to the duel arena an hour later. I accept a few duels and lose horribly. I realize what my problem is, my weapon, not my character. The next hour is spent trying to trade 16k iron ore for a whip. I give up, sell the ore, then buy a whip. I somehow get to the duel arena again and begin fun dueling people. I actually win :| Apparently, I have high defense for my level or something. Eventually, I get cocky and stake 5k against a ranger. Since this isn't the pking forum, I'll just say that after a close match, I win by 2 hp and win 5k! I hop worlds and fun duel a bit and get cocky again. This time, I stake 10k on a person who is 2 levles above me. I lose. Terribly. Their dragon dagger specs hit strait though me :P I die, lose my 10k, and log out. The end. [/hide]

Those are very good images, and of good quality, but as it's already been said, we do have bandwidth issues a lot of the time. When we use animated gifs, we try to use them only when 100% necessary. If I remember right, an average page on the site is 150-200kb, and most of those gifs are that if not more. Like I said, they are great, but unusable on the site because of their size.

Untill we have enough information to do a bit of math, or untill it's completely filled out :)

I think it's a "friend of a friend" sort of deal. Some of the tip.it admins/mods have been playing for a very long time, and personally know some of these people. Other times, people in tip.it say "I know (player) should I ask him if he would want an interview?" Regarding the crossbow pouch, it should say: You hit it on the head :) I'll fix the pouch info in about 10 mins.

Did you accidently block images from a host? Go to tools > Options > Content > Exceptions And check to see if any are.

Once i dreamed of a song by Lagwagon, called "unborn". I was listening to this song in my dream. It sounded like Lagwagon. I even can recall some words of the lyrics. Thing is: The song doesn't exist. I've seen gremlins 3 ;) I know I exist, and that's enough to get me by. It's the other people around me that I'm unsure as to their existence.

Since ex-staffies are posting, I may as well put my two cents in as well. I've been a staff member here for about 5 years, and I started out as a mod. One of the first things you will have to learn to do is your actions are noticed by everyone. Things that would have been acceptable to post as a user aren't quite as acceptable afterwards. This doesn't mean you don't post, it just means you have to make sure that what you are going to say can't be taken the wrong way. Being a mod is a great opportunity. You can become friends with some rather interesting people this way.

I think range bonus determines how much you hit a non-zero number (like attack) whereas your range level determines how hard you hit (like strength) potting/praying would affect your range level. Exactly right. This is why there are only a few restrictions on the clothing that can be worn. Oh yea, mcchainmail, I forgot to add in my last message. I'm pretty sure that poison increases a hit with a weapon. May be a rumor, but meh, doesn't hurt anything.

It's the same thing, just a bit prettier :P I'm planning on crunching the numbers, so making it pretty isn't that necessary. I'd try red spiders. There's normally a good amount of them, they don't hurt badly, and you can get some eggs while doing it too.

It actually wouldn't be that bad. Many big companies are very good at hiding their advertisement money in movies and other things such as games. It wouldn't be hugely obvious. Ever notice that a laptop in a movie or tv show is very rarely turned so that the logo is facing in a way that you can't see? A runescape advertisement would be something that could be passed off as a joke in some dialogue, or as a little logo that appears somewhere. It would only be BIG companies because it gets a LOT of attention, therefore it is very expensive to place. You would recognize the logos of anything that could pay for this placement.

Wow. Never knew you dropped by here lol! Most crewbies run a mile form this place. :P IMHO, it really makes no difference. It's ridiculous and untrue to suggest you have to choose your career so young. TBH, none of us really know until we're in our early/mid 20s. Actually, I post here(willingly) more often than I do the other boards. Not playing rs really makes rs related conversations hard to join in :P

I disagree that the economy is out of control. Prices on materials are very stable, and rarely change. Only rares fluctuate wildly, and this is due to the many new players entering the game. I would like it if you were to read Duke freedom's editorial on runehead. After you look at that graph, it shows the prices plotted over 4 years. Since the beginning of 2005, the prices have been almost completely level. Compare this to any of his rares graphs, and you can see that even though the prices of one thing are increasing, the economy is rather stable.

Pick whatever sounds the most fun at the time. Your career should be something you will enjoy years down the line, but don't make "set in stone" choices now. I started college wanting to major in IS, but I'm now on my third major :P

Hey there everyone! We needing your help updating the max hit amounts for ranging. And hey! With the shops update, small amounts of arrows are easier to get, so you can grab just enough for a max hit and record it. The standard arrows are complete, as they have been for a really long time. However, we now have dragon arrows and crossbow bolts added to the mix as well as darts. If you want to help out, find your max hit using one of the following items. Do not poison any of them, add tips, make firearrows, or enchant them, as this will mess up the numbers. Also don't wear the Void knight's ranger outfit as this also messes up the numbers. Any level can help out, not just the 99s. Please use only the items in this list.
