I'm soon building a home studio when I move into the other room in my house, mostly for vocals + hardware synths as everything else I do is software. Using Reason 3.0 with Cubase for recording and mastering atm. Give me a pm if you need any help choosing stuff, I just finished a BTEC in music tech and going onto HND! My Current setup; Wharfedale Diamond 8.2 Monitors Emu 0404 Soundcard Computtahhh *shrugs*

Girl loses her legs after riding Superman ride in Six Flags
Shame superman wasn't there to save the day this time eh! hahah. Sorry, that's horrible. oops :x Yup, sure enough with most accidents like this, they're sueing automatically. That coffee thing is hilarious, I might drive my face into my computer screen and sue Samsung for making such a crappy screen design.

Athiest?
Maybe his definition of religion is different than mine. A religion is a belief of hope; that's the way I interpret religion. Sorry, that was misleading. That wasn't a definition, more of an opinion of what religion tends towards. Oh gee, he's done it now. *runs*

The smoking ban in England, 1st July, Bye bye cancer-sticks.
We have it down in Kentucky. I think it made more people angry than it did happy. Odd. It's been in practise in Ireland for several years and something like 95% of Irish people think it's good. Upon saying that I get the feeling that smoking is a lot bigger in USA than Ireland, as the Irish, stereotypically, lean towards drinking a lot whereas there's tonnes of [bleep] brands from the USA. I'm not saying im right about any of that though, just my personal assumption.

Athiest?
I'm agnostic myself, I dont like to believe there is a god because I can't logically see there being one, but at the same time, i'm never quite sure. "I don't believe in god, but i'm afraid of him." I personally have much deeper theories on life.I reakon right in front of your eyes at this very moment, there are a countless amount of planets starting and ending their lives, planets so small and living out their lifespans so quickly you can't even see it happening. I believe this cos I reakon the earth, among with all of the other stars and planets, is an atom, and we all live on the atom, and we make up something that, to us, is immenseley huge. At the same time, we're immensley huge to other atoms - worlds, kinda thing - and the power of 10 thing continues and continues. How far? Iunno, but it would certainly prove life is pointless. Just a theory. :-k

The smoking ban in England, 1st July, Bye bye cancer-sticks.
As a social smoker (yes feel free to throw the usual slander for that), I can say, i'm pleased with the new law, as are many of my mates who smoke. It'll pretty much stop me smoking, and a lot of what's putting me off going out to certain places is the level of smoke in there - I go to a few rock/indie/metal clubs so it's usually a hot box inside. Best thing England government have done in a long time imo, hats off!

Possibility of a more inane chit-chatter subforum?
It is, think it might be a mod though. Not a bad idea but people like me only get their post count through OT so mine wouldn't rise much! ;D

age limit to love?
You're an idealist, you're 17 (or 15) not sure but you can't seriously believe that you are in LOVE and be prepared to remain with your girl and never look for a new one. Seriously, its not possible you may be attracted to her but that aint love instead lust! I'm confident I know more about this than you because I am nearly 18 and know for a fact I've never been in love only liked girls for lust reasons , if you can honestly say you're in love kudos to you except I don't believe you  Don't say I talk crap because I think with a clear head, you you're biased because you think you're in love! I'm over 18 and going to university next year. I think if I was just here for lust, it wouldve been my college years when that took place. Now tell me how you can tell me i'm not in love when you havn't been in it yourself. That's exactly why I can tell you! Male teenagers only have one thing on their mind in relationships and it is not love. If all you can tell me is that "your pulse races" I don't believe you. Sorry to be so mean but I guess the truth hurts. Not really, because that's miles from the truth. I feel sorry for you just being after sex all the time, I really do, because you're going to plough through some right dirt before you find someone you really like. My mom and dad met when they were 16 and 17. They're now 49 and 50. Now, was my dad just after one thing or did he find someone he really loves? He found someone he really loves. They still take more than 2 holidays a year together, they go on bike rides together, they go to pubs and restraunts far away together. My mom still tells me she misses my dad when he's at work and my dad bunks off early sometimes so he can go and see her. Go ahead and laugh at them for "not" falling in love because they were under 18. :)

age limit to love?
It's my honest opinion that people here have a very. Doctered and cynical view on love. Striker6, and Poopingman, you don't know even half of it. Life experience doesn't account for anything. I've only ever been in love once and i'm certain my girlfriend is the one i'll be staying with for my entire life. We were 17 and 15 when we met. We've been together for a year and a half and don't plan on going anywhere seperate ever. So you're basically saying, you're free to laugh at me and tell me i'm not in love because of my age. That, sirs, is absolute CRAP. Love strikes where it strikes, when it strikes, no matter what the circumstances. It's not something that's truly affected by society, nor is it something you can control. It's someone making your pulse race when you think of them, being the first and last thing on your mind, and you doing anything to see them. It does not have a bloody age restriction!!

Party tricks
More of a prank but, if you get someones pint and a beer mat, put the beer mat on top of the point and use this to keep the liquid in, turn the beer upside down and leave it on the table - then, watch as they try to get it up without spilling any. just remember to turn one of the corners of the mat up so you can get it up for them :P This is pretty cool too...

Sorry to be corny for a minute, but it's my honest belief that love has no limits. :)

forum lag?
That's probably one of the stupider things I've read around here. A dedicated server doesn't 'nick' bandwidth from somewhere else during an overage. It also doesn't get 'cutback' when near an overage. Tip.It pays for enough bandwidth to cover what is used during the month. If they didn't, the host would charge them per gigabyte over that allowance. A dedicated server doesn't work like a home connection's bandwidth allowance... I didn't mean the hosting company nicking from other places, I meant there's every chance tif are hosting files elsewhere temporarily to cut down on bandwidth use. Thus, they could be using a different server for certain files temporarily.

Jazz Apreciation
I don't follow the genre but certainly appreciate it, even studied how to record and master it :) One of my friends was watching glastonbury on bbci at the weekend and said "yeah, past midnight it was just all this boring jazz [cabbage]." We got into one hell of an arguement...hahah

My grandfather will die soon...
Its good that he accepted it before it happened mate. Your grandfather lived a long and full life, 82 is a good age to live to. Don't bottle anything up mate. If you feel like you need to talk to someone about it, even the slightest bit, then do, i'm sure your friends will listen even if they don't really want to. My nan passed away this february and I kept most of it inside pretty well. A few weeks ago I just sat playing piano thinking about her and I burst into tears and didn't stop for like 45 minutes. Remember the good times and be thankful you got them together. :)

Your Not So Secrety Secrets (Of Secretyness)
I have a really, really, really hairy bum but almost no chest hair. I also occasionally get hairs on my nipples.

vacation mishaps - share your experiences!
The only one worth counting for me is Tenerife a few years back when I thought it would be a fantastic idea to order an omlette and a litre of sparkling sangria to myself. I don't even remember walking to the belgian bar across the road and very vaguely remember ordering a tequila slammer, suffice to say I was carried out of the bar by my mates, sat on a wall and knocked myself unconcious by somehow hitting my head off the wall I was sat on. Next thing I know, it's 4am and some woman is shouting "STAND STILL AND HOLD ON!" at me. Turns out I was having a chest x-ray, followed by a head scan, followed by being put on a salt drip to prevent dehydrating. After that I just remember waking up in a hospital next to this scouse guy who'd broken his leg saying "you alright there mate?" and laughing as he does. Yup, that was the day I learned my limits. If that wasn't enough, we crashed a hire car there a few days later. Anyone fancy a trip abroad with me? :D

Teenage Drug Abuse
I have no real quarrel with soft drugs or alcohol at a younger age than is allowed, mostly cause the majority of people i know who do it can handle themselves. but for the people who cant, they should really stop doing it. it's not only stupid if you don't have a clue what you're doing, but it ruins nights out for other people too. i've actually left a friend flat on his face before in the middle of the street because he was being a pillock and completely ruining my friday. he got home okay in the end so sod it, it's his fault if he felt rough the next day!

According to Virgina, you could've been...*Disclaimer*
When I was in Nerja in Spain, which is quite a quiet part, like a small town, localas were letting their kids walk about the square with nothing on. I was thinking "eh?" admitedly but obviously they see these things differently to us, hahah. You are right mate, it's a much rarer occurrance than we make it out to be, and because it's such an unspoken topic the media are all over it, brandishing people and giving them a decade in prison for crap all. I'm not saying there arn't any real abusers, but christ it's overhyped.
