So anyway, Halloween went pretty well up until me watching the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" with my son, and I had a minor emotional breakdown ffs, crying through it, the Sleepy Hollow cartoon, & "The Raven." "Rocky Horror" is my favorite movie of ALL TIME & I watched it every year with my parents, & then with my mom, for DECADES. I would watch it with my brother, as well - the one who died ~a year & a half before my mom. The Sleepy Hollow cartoon was my mom's favorite cartoon & "The Raven" was her favorite poem. My brother was a huge fan of horror films & the last week he was alive, my family watched a bunch of them with him. Halloween is just a huge holiday with my family. It is also my favorite holiday. But anyway, my mom wanted to be reincarnated as a fox, so she's probably out running around somewhere. I'm pretty sure my brother was reincarnated as a cat o.O And my dad is most likely still out haunting the neghbors' asses like he said he would. So everything is alright :P

That was my mom's favorite poem & I wish I had read it to her while she was dying, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. She especially loved the Vincent Price version of it. But it feels right to end Halloween with it.

When I was younger, my mom was driving me & one of my relatives, who was even younger than me & is part black, around. My mom stopped at a gas station & some idiotic rednecks were across from us in a truck. One of the rednecks pulls out a club from his truck & goes to the other redneck, "See this? This is my n-word knocker." My mom kept a sawed-off baseball bat in her car, that was chisled into a spike. She pulled it out and said loudly, "See this? This is my white-honkey cracker knocker." Not gonna lie, I'm biased against white people, mainly because I didn't see racism first-hand until we moved to a non-city, white area...AND I'M WHITE. In the city, I didn't experience crime. It wasn't until we moved to a non-city, white area that I was raped...by a WHITE REDNECK. The only reason we moved here is because my grandma was sick at the time. My family got stuck here, due to medical reasons & bills. Once you are here, it is difficult to get out. Btw, I love the film, Stand and Deliver. I also grew up with friends who were black & Puerto Rican in the city, and it wasn't until we had to move to a mostly-white area that I heard little white redneck KIDS saying the n-word. You keep bringing up segregation from post-WWII, when my parents went to city universities, during a historically racially-charged era. That is one of the reasons I "keep making these posts." They also did NOT go to southern schools. As I said before, I was born & raised in a city. My family did spend our summers on a farm, however. All of my best memories are from the city, though, & I had a wonderful childhood, as far as I'm concerned. Oddly enough, you mentioning crime in the city, my mom worked in law enforcement. And as I previously stated, my dad taught Bio & Chem in an area, which was not only racially diverse, but one of the best areas in terms of education and income in the US. A solar-powered PRT system, connecting cities to outlying suburban areas could possibly solve this, but there has never been a city I've been to where I wasn't able to walk. You can find a 100 watt solar panel for under 100 bucks nowadays, so it wouldn't be that costly to set up a personal solar array for an electric vehicle compared to the actual electric vehicle itself. And YES, you can efficiently store energy using solar, regardless of the amount of light available. Simple: buy more batteries for storage. Batteries are not that expensive. Also, in terms of long distance travelling, there are flexible solar panels available, that you can attach to a car. Even in this mountainous, rural state, there are Tesla stations now to charge electric cars for long distance travel. As for your "white flight" topic you keep bringing up, idk about most ppl, but my parents were both originally from poor, rural areas. They moved to the city to go to college, in a more racially diverse area. They both worked in that area for years, I was born & raised in that area, and while my family was in the city, it was the wealthiest we have ever been. Is it cities or is it the 'burbs? You are contradicting yourself. Regardless, electric cars can fix this, because they can be charged via solar. However, electric cars are too pricey atm. Ppl can buy a used car for less than $1k, which is far more feasible financially than $30k+ for an electric car, obviously. This will be an ongoing issue until electric car prices drop. I used to live in a town with a population of less than 500. Ofc, I had to constantly drive out of town since the only thing in that town was a post office &...a gas station <.< I live in a slightly more urban area now, so I'm able to walk to certain stores, but I still have to drive in order to play music & dance, most of which I do outside that area. As for a "racial element to this," wtf does that mean? Half my family is part black. When my cousins moved here years ago, the day after they moved into their old house, the dumb ass redneck next door to them put up a confederate flag. Here is an old photo of one of his student's projects (Look at the year on the back - 1981): Solar panels today are more efficient. Also, most currently-manufactured solar panels will last 25+ years. Solar panels ARE recyclable. In fact, the companies I get mine have recycling programs for panels. The batteries used in solar powered systems to store energy are also recyclable. I currently use lead-acid batteries, in terms of larger batteries, as opposed to lithium, because the local battery recycling centers in my area do not accept large lithium batteries. Lead-acid batteries are much heavier in weight than lithium, so if a lithium battery program is incorporated in my area, I will switch to those since they are more portable. #RemoveSilverhawkBootsFromRS #RSOF

Btw, my Sans pumpkin is already rotting! I only carved it a few weeks ago, but it has been so warm here. Also, I made some cupcakes for the Halloween dance. I didn't put as much effort into them as I have previous years, because I've been busy with my HAIR. My eye has healed up around it fairly well.
