  1. That is why I am asking the question, I don't know which way it's supposed to be situated. I have already checked the manufacturers website and was unable to find anything there. No, I do not need 630w, I could get away with 500w easily but I've yet to find one around the same price, that is modular and that has some decent ratings on Newegg. If you have any suggestions, let me know :D . Anyhow, I believe you guys answered my question. The power supply sucks in air from the inside of the case, blows it out the back and the fan should be pointed downwards toward the inside of my case. Thanks
  2. If I am unable to resolve the problems with my current power supply I would prefer to just get a new one. My current one is very loud (sounds like a jet engine) and the cables are very difficult to manage. The one I am looking at in my first post looked quiet and if the fan on the bottom sucked air, may help keep my case a bit cooler.
  3. The fans in my current power supply seem to be going bad. They will work for 20-30 seconds (very loud) and then turn off for 30 seconds before turning back on. Unless there is a quick easy fix that someone can think of, I believe it may be best for me to get a new power supply. I was looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6817152035. I notice that the fan is on the bottom of the power supply. Is that a problem when placing it into the top of a computer case? Also, is that large fan on the bottom sucking in air or blowing it out? Thanks in advance.
  4. Thanks for the replies. I'll probably go out and buy some thermal paste and try to reseat the cooler soon. My CPU has been running at 80C for the past year and nothing happened so I'm sure a few extra days won't cause too much harm... I do have another question. Where exactly are these temperature readings coming from? Is there some kind of sensor on the motherboard or CPU? Also, is it possible that this sensor mechanism is giving me very inaccurate readings or are they typically pretty reliable?
  5. No I didn't think of that, makes complete sense tho. I hesitant on doing that at the moment because I don't have any thermal paste. Am I able to remove the CPU cooler and put it back on without putting on a new coat of thermal paste? Btw, thx for the help so far :D . I'm going to bed and will check back tomorrow.
  6. I was using three programs, all were giving pretty similar readings plus or minus 5 degrees. Speedfan RealTemp PC Wizard
  7. My apologies, I copied the wrong URL when I made my first post. My first post has been updated.
  8. The thermal paste was already preapplied on the pad of the new cooler.
  9. I recently purchased a new CPU cooler for my Q6600 because the stock cooler that came with it was horrible. Over the past year that I have been using the stock cooler, my CPU temperature averaged around 80C (Yes I understand that's really horrible, you don't need to tell me :-# ). Today I removed the old cooler, cleaned up the CPU with Arctic Silver Thermal material Remover & Surface Purifier and attached the new cooler. My temperature is now even worse and averages around 85C. The only thing I can think of that is cooler is not making good contact with the CPU even tho I am certain I have pushed down the pins as far as they can go. Is there any accessories or anything I can do to make the contact between the CPU and cooler better? Few things I am currently using New Cooler I purchased My Mobo Processor Thanks in advance for any suggestions or ideas.
  10. Hello, I am looking to build a website for a photography club I am a part of. I want users to have the ability to upload photos onto the website. Additionally, it would be nice if there was some way to coordinate photo competitions where users can rate and comment on other individuals photos. I'm not too familiar working with content management systems. I searched around and found Coppermine Gallery. Althought I think this is a forum rather than a CMS, the functionality of it is what I'm looking for. If anyone has any suggestions or personal experiences with what I'm looking for, I would love to hear it. Thanks
  11. Agreed. I thought there was too much brown space to maintain which only turned out to be a big drawing board for vandals. There was alot of complex curves in the logo which makes it even harder to maintain. If the HYT logo wanted to be incorporated, it needed to be much bigger because it could be vandalized way too easy. I'm nearly positive at least one person maintaining the WVU logo has infinite ink. It's also been rumored that everytime someone from the WVU campus refreshes the drawball page, they go back to 5% ink. They can continually keep refreshing their page whenever they need ink. I'm not sure if it's true or not, but it's dumb to mess with them.
  12. I don't want to take anything away from USC's performance last night because they definitely were the better team. Even if Ohio State has Wells and the entire team played 100%, the Buckeyes couldn't have won that game. Now that is out of the way, OSU really needs to look at the way they are coached and the way they play. I love Jim Tressel, but he plays way too conservatively in these big games. Ohio State had no gain longer than 16 yards against USC. Granted OSU's running game was severely inhibited with Wells out, but all of Ohio States passes are 5 yard dumps and they refuse to throw passes down the field. What really made me angry was that Tressel won't put aside his loyalty to his seniors to win big games. Boeckman just sucks; he is slow and not agile enough to get out of the pocket, he is horrible at recognizing the blitz and the pressure around him, he can't make big plays and he ALWAYS makes 1-2 huge mistakes a game. Ohio State make themselves look so much worse than they actually are. It's sad to good talent go to waste because of a coaching staff that won't adapt to change and doesn't play to win.
  13. Why are you guys talking about throwing in the towel, it isn't even that bad. Their last major attack was much worse and we made a full recovery from it. Conserve your ink; the logo doesn't need to look perfect, it just needs to remain visible. If you fix a letter just keep it outlined and filled in enough so that we can see it. Once we all have obtained enough ink we can then make the logo as it was before.
  14. Earlier when I was on they had a message that stated the ball was under maintenance. They probably just took the message down.
  15. Rune was nearly completely erased so I managed to redo an outline of the letters for someone else to color in.
